After having a new roof installed by this other company, Lundberg Roofing had to come out and fix all their mistakes. The issues focused on improper work around the chimney, and installation of a vent which caused heavy leaking. The other company couldn't seem to figure out what they did wrong. It's a long ugly story, but our advice is to use a company with solid history, great reviews, wonderful customer service, fair prices, and excellent workmanship. That company is Lundberg. We won't stray again.

It puddles for days. That makes me nervous, to say the least, and when the roof started to leak a little over the garage, I looked into building in a little slope, using a foam block process to do same (pricey!), redoing the roof conventionally, doing a rubber membrane roof as if it were a commercial property, or sealing it with a product like silicone, or foam, to make it a monolithic structure. After a lot of research on the net, and calling a couple of manufacturers, I went with silicone: this way, I don't have to worry about the roof for another 10-20 years. Sky Light Roofing is the company in our area that has done the additional training to apply this product- and I went with them. (Although he does conventional roofs too). It's a pressure washing/cleaning, priming, and applying process that takes care do make sure it's done exactly right. When the process was done, Juan had kept my renter totally satisfied, cleaned up every day, was knowledgeable, polite, and honored the date he said he'd show up(rain prevents them from applying this, so we had only one delay). His company is simply top notch. I give out few five stars, but, honestly, unless he did this roof for free, I can't think of any way he could improve!

Stratus Roofing was the company that took the time to understand our needs and answered all of our questions. Great roofing company. Sergio Pichardo was the primarily professional we dealt with. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and honest not like some other roofing companies with many 5 stars reviews on Yelp. He provided us with the lowest price. So we decided to go with Stratus Roofing. We glad we made right choice and are very happy Stratus Roofing's work. The whole process went super smooth from contract sign to permits application to roof installation to final pass the city inspection since Sergio had us covered. Sergio is always available whenever we have questions during the process by phone or text. The company did a great job of an entire removal of old roof and replacement with GAF ROOFING SYSTEM. They completed the job in 2 days. The site manager Hector communicated with us to keep us updated during the whole installation. They cleaned up yard and checked for nails. Update: Five stars for a company that stands by their work! I called Hinest Abe after the…read morehurricane Debby passed us leaving water in my electric box. I contacted Kyle to ask if there was any possibility the water could have come In Through the roof. He said he would get back to me. Later that morning I contacted the power company to request inspection of the electric meter. Before I heard a response from the power company, Mark from Honest Abe texted me to tell me he was 90 minutes away and was coming to inspect the roof. I told him we could wait until I found out if the meter had a gap that could've let the water in from the side of the house, but he said he wanted to come and check it out and make sure everything was in order. He didn't have to do this, but he came and inspected the roof which was as expected fine. He did find, a nearly half-inch gap around the electric meter, which is where the water came in during the storms. Mark went to the local hardware store bought a sealant, came back and sealed the area around the meter and checked the inside circuit box to make sure that the water was minimal and it was safe. None of this had anything to do with the roof and yet he insisted that it was an easy fix And resolved the problem. This is a quality company who provide a quality service more importantly, if there's even a question about whether there might've been a problem with the roof stand installed, they sent their technician out immediately, and the gentleman solved an unrelated problem. It was a mistake for me to hire Honest Abe Roofing. They promised a thorough inspection and…read morediagnosis to explain why water dripped through my bathroom vent during one heavy rain. They charged $149 for the inspection and promised the fee would go towards the cost of necessary repairs. After the inspection, they were not able to say where the leak was coming from, so they recommended a significant repair that would have left a large patch of shingles that did not match the rest of my roof. What I got for free from other roofing companies: a quick (approximately 5-minute) inspection of the area of my roof most likely to have a leak if there indeed was one. Thankfully one company told me it was possible that the rain hit the roof at the perfect angle to enter the gooseneck vent and drip down into the bathroom. Their recommendation was to wait and see if the dripping happened again. What I got from Honest Abe Roofing: a quick (approximately 10-minute) inspection of my entire roof and some pictures showing that they had been on my roof. They told me there was definitely a leak, but they couldn't tell where the leak was without looking in the attic above the bathroom. Since they couldn't access the attic, they would replace a gooseneck vent and a plumbing boot, re-shingle a large area, and apply silicone around a skylight in a different bathroom. They believed whatever the cause of the leak, those repairs should resolve the issue. At my request, they agreed to peek in the attic, but insisted they could not access the area above the bathroom. I argued that if plumbers and AC professionals could get there, roofers must be able to as well. They refused. A good friend went into my attic when she visited recently. She said the path to the attic above the bathroom was very easy to find and verified that there were no signs of any leaks. I would never expect someone to go into my attic as part of a free estimate, but Honest Abe charged $149 for a thorough inspection and diagnosis. If looking in the attic is what was required, that's what they should have done. Instead, they tried to sell me an unnecessary repair, and when I refused, they quoted an exorbitant price to do a simple necessary repair. Their inspection had shown an unspecified number of nail pops unrelated to the hypothetical leak. The inspection report has a picture of just one nail pop, but I believe the company's representative told me there were three. The cost they quoted to fix the nail pop(s) and apply silicone around a skylight was $900, which was more than another company would have charged for the entire repair Honest Abe Roofing recommended. I wasted $149 and almost made the mistake of having my roof patched for no reason. I hope my review helps others avoid a similarly unfortunate interaction with Honest Abe Roofing.
