Amazing! We're not fuzzy but they delivered The staffs are friendly , accommodating and helpful. They have washer and dryer, in coins or apps. Free breakfast. Lots of choices for your breakfast. Highly recommended!!!

-Breakfast was very basic & lacked variety. They had 3 cereals to choose from, seems to be an off brand version. They also had some bread, butter, jam, apple juice, orange juice, milk, the basics. Aside from that, they provide cookware and appliances to cook your own food as well as storing your food which was nice. Downstairs, they have coffee, tea, chips, monster energy, etc to choose from which some of that you have to pay for. -My first morning trying the free breakfast (8-10am everyday), I ate my knock off fruit loops with milk and 2 slices of toasted bread with butter on top. Not the worst meal but could be better. -For food and drinks, you are allowed to bring your own but here, you have to clean up after yourself if you're cooking something and use utensils, kitchenware, etc. And label your food/drinks so nobody takes it or thinks its free game. -In comparison to HI NYC Hostel, this particular location seemed more cliquey and people went out with one another in their own groups/pairs. And some people seemed a little standoff ish. Not the most social location in my opinion based on my stay. -There was a fair amount of places to lounge and play games here. But a lack of games provided to play with other people. And, in order to play pool, you have to reserve the pool table with $20 then you receive the equipment but you get your money back. -In terms of living quarters, I was assigned to a 6-Women Dorm on a top bunk. Upon arrival, it was me and one other girl. Then one more showed up the next day. Then another girl later that day and so on. So it fills up surprisingly quick. There was a little nook for electronics and a place to charge your devices. And a locker that fit both my luggage (score!) However, because the walls are so thin you can hear people right outside the room/in the hallway & the outside elements such as cars honking and sirens. The living quarters also provided basic bedding and a towel. One of the downsides though is lack of privacy in sleeping quarters with no curtains. The shower was pretty decent. Perfect size for the average 5'4 person & had hot running water. -I was originally supposed to stay from Feb. 17-20th 2023 but left Sunday morning between midnight-1am. Why you may ask? Let me tell you. 11:20pm comes around I'm trying to relax and get some rest but all of a sudden, a hostel staff member (African American male) comes in to assist one of the girls with their living situation- which I believe she was in the wrong bed. Not entirely sure. Not realizing this, I was like, "What the heck is going on?" -And I basically kept saying I need to get some rest, why/what is happening, etc. the staff member says please be courteous and patient with us at this time as we try and figure out what's going on. I was not having it. So the Italian girl in question is moving her stuff still at this point & im fed up. I turn off the lights and she had the audacity to turn them back on? What? It's literally past quiet hours and I'm trying to go to sleep. Note: Quiet hours is from 11pm - about 7am. -Anyway, more people move in (1-2 people I believe? Not entirely sure. People come and go as I previously mentioned, which happens with staying at a hostel). I was over it at this point and decided to start packing my things at about 11pm-1am and check out a day early to look for a different place to stay at for the night. I end up getting a partial refund because I decided to leave a day early. -I probably won't be coming back here ever again. Or, I'll give it another chance and see if things go differently for me.

    dorm room

Pros - location is excellent, nice lounge areas and plenty of seating, private bathrooms, night lights and lockers for each bed, option to do a women-only dorm room, felt safe Cons - bathrooms were always dirty, sheets were old and ripped, breakfast was so limited it wasn't worth it, lots of dirty cups and dishes in the cafeteria, and worst of all, the entire building is extremely hot!! I couldn't sleep for the entire week because I was sweating so much. It was hotter inside the building than outside. Everyone in the lounges was complaining about how hot it was. Staying in a hostel is not a luxury hotel experience, I get it. I can look past the messy bathrooms, sharing a room with someone who snores and kept everyone up all week, dealing with dorm-mates turning on the lights in the middle of the night, hearing the doors slamming at all hours of the day because the walls are so thin, etc, etc. BUT i just can't justify staying here again with the heat -- i felt like i was trying to sleep in a sauna. Absolutely unbearable!!

Large lockers located right next to assigned bunk, just need your own lock.

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

The location is convenient. Stars lost for the following: * I took two showers at the hostel --- one on Saturday at 8:30am and one on Sunday at 3:30am. I did not have hot water for either shower. This is especially terrible when it's freezing outside, which it was. * "Breakfast" is toast and coffee. * Housekeeping came in to clean my room while I was napping, and for some reason thought that was the time to strike up an entire conversation with me and ask me where I was from, what brought me to Boston, and if I was feeling well. I was...until you started trying to have a conversation in the middle of my nap. * The metal bunk bed felt like it needed either someone to go through and tighten all the screws or that it needed to be braced to the wall. Very rickety. I doubt I would stay here again.

Here are my list of hostel pros and cons of this new hostel…read more.. Pros! ***** Very friendly staff - They gave me a great suggestion to try a bar call "Whiskeys" where they serve .25 wings and have other great food specials. ***** Clean facility (just remodeled!) - Everything was brand new and clean! ***** Amazing location - This is near some great nightlife and restaurants and the train, as well as sightseeing, which I didn't have time to do. Also may I suggest "The Pour House" for breakfast, amazing portions and very affordable! Especially Mondays when the already low prices are half price! Cons: ** Price - The nightly rate seemed a little high for a hostel, even in the city (I base this upon Seattle's Green Tortoise Hostel which is next to Pike's Market and cost $33/night last year). Friday it cost around $50 after tax. Saturday the price went up to something near $57 which is higher than I have ever paid for a hostel. I decided to use a Priceline "Express Deal" and got a room at the Omni Parker on the waterfront for $135 after tax. ** Breakfast - This consisted of cereal and milk, and coffee. I think that there was one other thing. No fruit or toast or bagels or juice that I could see. It was a little under average with what I have generally experienced, but this may also be because they are new and are planning on adding those things soon (I hope). Additional notes: There are other things to consider which are part of the staying at a hostel experience. There are powerful gas heaters in the rooms and you may have differences of opinion in regards to the what is comfortable with your roommates. Also, please make sure you bathe in consideration of your roommates. The vending machine took my $5 and dispensed a bag of snacks costing $1.25 and returned a quarter. The front desk staff put a sign on the machine and reimbursed my missing change, which was absolutely the right thing to do. Thank you! It's a hassle to have to "write to the company" over such a small amount of money and most people will just walk away feeling cheated. Again, thanks! I will stay at this hostel again in the future unless Priceline has an amazing "Express Deal" like they did on the Saturday in question. Good luck!

Here live people who are going through very difficult moments in life: people in need, an elderly disabled man who can barely move, a family with a small child. The owner's name is John , he is true man with big heart who will never ignore your situation John. This young and handsome man has a lot of empathy towards his guests! And that simplicity says everything about him. He never walks past someone who needs help. He treats people with heart, kindness, and dignity, and you can feel that this place exists because he truly cares about people, not profit. The managers here -- Matthew and Luis, and the wonderful girls who work alongside them -- are incredibly kind, attentive, and human. You feel welcomed, not judged. You feel safe. The hotel itself is very cozy, calm, and beautiful in its Victorian style. It feels warm and familiar, like home. There is a sense of peace here, a feeling that you can finally breathe and rest. During one of the hardest moments of our lives, they allowed us to stay five nights for free, and that kindness meant more than words can express. I tried to give back in every way I could -- I cleaned the hotel and washed floors on all the floors, because this place deserves care and gratitude. Yesterday we paid, and today I will finish paying what remains, but what will stay with me forever is not the money -- it is the humanity we were shown.
