Pistachio, peanut butter, chocolate chip cookies along with banana bread and a crookie!!!

This place is amazing. It's a hidden gem for sure. They have the best staff!!! The best sandwiches for breakfast and lunch and the best coffee, the best bakery and cakes. Need I say more!??!?! The place is cute and clean all the time and everyone is so nice. I ate my prosciutto and egg sandwich before I took this photo. But their bagels are always soft and chewy. I personally love the sesame. They shave the prosciutto fresh and the eggs always have a runny yolk so it drips all over your hands and the cheesy goodness. Highly recommend anything they serve!

I never feel gross after eating all the bread and treats from this place. This bakery specializes in natural "good for you" ingredients. You won't get any of those processed ingredients that make you feel bloated after eating bread. I really enjoy the chocolate babka (it's off the menu now, but it will most likely come back in the colder months of the year) and the everything bagel. The staff are always super nice and helpful! There is plenty of seating. Street parking on Imperial or Jesse street is also usually available if you go in the morning.

The best bakery in LA. I've been coming here for about a year and have recommended this place to anyone who will listen. From their sourdough, cookies, bagels, to their sandwiches. This place exudes quality pastries and hits every time. Most recently, I stopped by on Thursday to grab a bagel sandwich (i forgot to take a pictureee) and sourdough. I seen they had a new item - Croissant Cookie - and I was so happy that I came back the next day to try it. It's is crunchy and soft in all the right place, seeet if you get a mouthful of cookie but balanced in sweetness if you take a balanced bite. I say it is a once in the lifetime indulgence and experience rather than getting them frequently. Because of the quality ingredients used, i never feel guilty after eating a treat or bagel from here - truly quality. The team is always pleasant, helpful and efficient. I really value them! This is also a great cafe to work in or bring people here to enjoy something savory or sweet. It's a pleasantly positively filled space.

This bagel was very delicious and satisfied mg cravings. I will say I wish that the bagel was cut in half or laid out instead of put together as a sandwich since it can be hard to eat holding it together. The people were very nice and gave me good recommendations as I was being indecisive with what I wanted. It's a pretty big eating area too, but parking can be a little confusing since the parking garage has you call a number to open the gate. Overall, this was a pretty solid brunch place!

    Vegan bagel with potatoes

Stumbled on this organic bakery while doing errands in the LA arts district during a weekend trip. Its outdoor decor caught my eye and intrigued me to walk in! I was pleasantly surprised to find mouth watering looking pastries and a delightful brunch menu! Their wonderful staff promptly greeted us with a smile and gave us their recommendations. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking. As if I wasn't already sold with their vegan options, their Saturday brunch special sealed the deal!! If you order from their brunch menu you get a complimentary glass of mimosa, champagne, rose, or aperol spritz! I gladly accepted the offer and ordered a vegan bagel with a guava mimosa. I also ordered a cinnamon roll because it was just so tempting. All their pastries looked so soft!! I chose the everything bagel and it was delicious! The vegan cream cheese was flavorful and spread nicely. The pickles were a nice touch. And the potatoes, omg 10/10!!! Definitely recommend their bagels. The cinnamon roll has to be one of the best I've EVER had. It reminded me of a cinnabon roll except that the whole thing was like the center everyone fights over!! Definitely bookmark this bakery for your next Saturday brunch!

    Tuna sandwich

I wish I could give us five stars, but I'm pretty sure they forgot about my tuna sandwich order and it took them like 20 minutes to make it. However. This focaccia is not a joke!! so incredibly good -- so fluffy, and moist, in the perfect crusty top-- and so thick too that I had trouble eating. (We love to have that problem.) I also ordered two bagels for take away, and one scone for take away . Their bagels are so thick. I could hardly fit them in the toaster when I cut them in half. The score was pretty good, it had lovely rich notes of butter. Also, there's a decent amount of seating, space is very open, and there's outdoor seating too.

Absolutely adore this little bakery! When I heard healthy indulgence, I wasn't necessarily interested, but when I saw their beautiful pastries on Yelp, I had to try them and I gotta say they're delicious. The pastries are organic, stunning, and affordable. My favorite was definitely the pistachio short bread cookie sandwich, the cream lightly softens the cookie and pistachio flavor was vibrant. The matcha croissant was beautiful. I purchased a box of variety for my friend and she loved them as well. Their packaging is so personal, so perfect for gifting. I can't wait till they bring back the tarts that I've seen online. They have some street parking, but you can also validate by parking in the apartment structure.

Probably the best lox and bagel I have ever had in LA.

Probably the best lox and bagel I have ever had in LA. I love the bagels here! They're perfectly chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Nova sand-o comes with fluffy cream cheese, fresh dill, capers, and pickled onions. Damn I want one right meow! Also the people who work here are gems! They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I've always had a 10/10 experience here. If you find yourself in the Arts District, this place is a MUST!!

Situated at the corner of the AMP Lofts apartments is this newer bakery that uses organic ingredients and offers a number of vegan options. I sampled a number of their products and enjoyed them almost all of them I was especially partial to their chicken pie. The brioche with strawberry and pastry cream was one I didn't like so much. The brioche was a little dry and there were only a few thin slices of strawberry on the outside of the cream. I'll be back to try other offerings.

    Fresh bagels

Oh my what a delicious bagel sandwich! Generous creamy cream cheese, bright red tomato on the softest and tastiest plain bagel. Also had an iced vanilla latte which was just okay. Not bad. Just not great. It was lacking vanilla and a solid espresso flavor. The place was so clean and the employees were so so nice! I also took home a sourdough loaf that was delish! I will definitely return.

Ask the Community - Hi Bakery

Do they plan on opening on Sundays? Weird if they don't.

We work 6 days per week where 1 day we do productions for our whole sales accounts and 5 days are working serving for public. On Sunday is what we have left is to rest. Hope that is not a weird answer ;-)

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Given the small size of the shop, takeout is recommended, especially during peak hours. The sandwiches at AAV are so good! Fuggedaboutit!

The menu is not complicated or very large, and has a specialty item like a stuffed bread with different options named after possibly the founder of the restaurant. Khachapuri is the item, but we did not get it this time. We got a Chicken Ceaser Laffa wrap as well as a Chicken Parm and Bolognese sandwich. They did not take very long to get prepared and brought to our table. These are very good size sandwiches, you can easily eat it as two meals. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and helped us make our decision on what to order. It is a very bright place. Has odd artwork, not really a style or anything. A picture of a cow, a watercolor landscape. A fish chart. Something else that I forget.... Just odd, does not really work together, but oh well. Maybe these are from employees or were donated or something. But on to the sandwiches.... They were really good. I think I liked the Ceaser better than the chicken parm and Bolognese sandwich. But it was a hot day and the Ceaser was a bit more refreshing. The bread and wrap were good. Lots of sauce and dressing. Lots of stuff stuffed into the sandwiches. Good stuff. Parking can be tricky. I would like to try out some of the other menu items one of these days.

If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend making a stop here. My biggest piece of advice is to go early because it gets incredibly busy by lunchtime--and for good reason! Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.
