I walked into a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Once you exit the lobby area and go to the back, the lights are dim. The changing area was clean, there was a locker to put my personal belongs in, and the robe and sandals were super comfy. There was a shower and a toilet and a waiting area outside the restroom with an electric fireplace on the wall. The massage itself was super relaxing and enjoyable. The woman who did my massage spoke softly asking me what areas I'd like her to focus on and what would be included in my massage. She gave me clear direction and privacy. She was firm, and worked out a knot in my shoulder and did a full body massage. There was calming music playing softly. At the end, they gave me a cup of tea to drink while I changed. I was not rushed in the beginning or the end. I would absolutely love to come here again one day for another massage. The main thing that stops me from getting massages on a more regular basis is the cost!

I was escorted to the women's locker room and I was asked if I would like to take a shower before starting my massage session. I took my hot shower and used their toiletries (body wash, shampoo and conditioner) plus their velvety brown robe plus their black sandals. My masseuse was Eddie and he played my ocean wave music and used the white ginger lotion that I picked for my massage. Eddie was very professional and I enjoyed his 60 minutes deep tissue massage . Walking through the door, I was greeted with warm slippers and hot tea, and I quickly eased into the welcome oasis from the blistering cold. I had scheduled a Custom Facial with Katie Westgate ("K. West"). This service transforms the preconception that facials are a rough, pinchy experience where you leave the spa looking badly in need of concealer. This service was as much relaxation as therapeutic, and I left with my face looking and feeling relaxed with a youthful glow and none of the redness frequently suffered during more aggressive facials. I fell in love with the lymphatic drainage that she performed, even investing in my own gua sha tool on my way out the door. Instead of offering the agreed-upon laser treatment to address the issues, I was told to go to a dermatologist--leaving me with unresolved damage and no accountability for the harm done. The treatments destroyed my skin, causing severe damage that left me with the damage--severe painful cystic acne covering my face scarring, texture changes, extreme dryness, compromised skin barrier everything burns, physical and emotional pain. I trusted their expertise and was hoping for a solution, but not only did I not get the promised refund or treatment, but I also feel misled and disrespected by the lack of follow-through and the poor outcome. But…read morethen received a creepy call from the front desk that evening from a guy (definitely not the therapist) saying he'd received my number from the massage therapist (pretty sure that's not the case- as the therapist seemed wildly respectful and sane). He knew my name, and the name of the massage therapist, and what time I had been in the building. He said he liked me, etc... got a little nasty at the end. I hung up on him, filed a police report, talked to the (very friendly and nice) branch manager who said there was some kind of digital security breach and that I shouldn't worry about my personal safety. But then they never followed up to tell me what happened. I was traveling for work alone, had to freeze all my credit cards, etc... It's been two months now, and I never received any kind of follow up as to what happened. Nor an apology. I won't take a step into another Massage Envy anywhere until this addressed, and I'd advise you don't either! I feel sorry for the awesome service providers that were caught in the middle of this- but it *must* be addressed by the business. It undermines trust at every level- something that is essential for body work practitioners and cients!
