However, they have lots of books, tons of glassware, kids toys, some furniture, and lots of media. They do offer daily specials and color tag sales depending on the day. It's not a typical Goodwill store, so don't expect to find things organized by category. Besides the furniture, everything is in big bins that you rummage through, then pay by the pound (except the electronics -- they're in the bins, but have a separate price list). Things are a little dirty, but I got a few nice things that were easy to clean off. With COVID-19, they require masks to come in. Everyone was wearing one, though I did see a few customers' noses uncovered. And they also only let 25 people in at once, to allow for distance. I was told that there's a line, and you should show up before they open. So I arrived 15 minutes before opening, and got in line. But when they gave out entry tickets (in order of arrival), I was too far back in the line to get one. I had to wait around about an hour past opening time to get in. (The other people in line told me the wait time varies a lot by day. There are a lot of professional resellers who shop here every day for bargains to resell at the flea market or online.) Tip: They put out new stuff in the morning and afternoon. If you want to be first to get a chance to look through the bins, show up an hour early, and wait in line, so you can get one of the first tickets.

This awesome find, on the north end of the intersection of Menaul and Washington, is on the higher end of thrifty treasures. I was confronted with a notice at the door that the place was "temporarily" cash only, due to an EBT issue. I saw the same note when I arrived two weeks later. Look, most locally owned businesses are all too aware of the scandalous credit industry, and many simply don't do plastic, don't blame 'em. I'm guessing these guys are pissed at the industry, to boot. Anyway, even if you're not carrying greenbacks, walk on in. It's worth more than a gander. Virtually everything is priced on the higher end of thrift, but a quick chat with the owners will reveal that this is more of a pristine yard sale. They're open to hear your best offer. The furniture is high quality, generally good to great condition, with plenty of so-called antique offerings (tables, hutches, etc.). Great used kids clothes and stuffed animal selection, beautiful housewares, unique home office items, solid kitchen stuff. The place has been around for a while, I'm surprised I'm the first to Yelp it, but hey, here's to Yesterday's Best being around tomorrow.

Unfortunately those items were marked in the thousands of dollars range. There were also reasonably priced items and even some good deals, but some of the items had extremely high prices. The store had a small selection compared to other thrift stores on the same road, but it definitely was unique. If you like vintage pieces, this store might be for you. Personally, I am more of a thrift store person than an antique store person, so I probably won't be back.
