Below is a brief description:…read more Class capacity: 10 Students: 9 Instructors: 2 Medical personnel: 2 Distances: 7, 50, 100 Position: Standing, kneeling (transition from standing), prone Drills: Up/Downs, paired shots, Mozambique (failure drill), 5-1, firearm malfunction, and double targets. The class takes place at an offsite location. We met at the entrance of the property and drove to the actual gun range. The class size was small. That means that we all got the individual attention needed for those of us new to the platform. A good mix of law enforcement, prior military service, EMTs, and civilians made for a very diverse and educational experience. If you are new to the AR platform, this is a very good class to take. Though there were some participants in full gear, all you need is your rifle and a way to carry two magazines. Other classes are available. Definitely check them out.

It worked for me with my work schedule and how I learn but is a lot. Pro- Phillip the instructor was extremely knowledgeable, relatable and kind. I even connected with him after I passed the test and he was cheering me on then too! Pro/con- you learn way more information than you actually need for the test. You go into formulas and graphs and diagrams. All of it is extremely helpful information on how to do my job, but a lot of it was not on the test so I spent time studying and cramming things that I didnt need to know. Pro-They give you all of the study materials that you need. You do not need to buy additional books or study guides. It has a ton of practice tests and quizzes and really guides you where to look on the areas you need to focus on. A bit of background: I do projects and work in leadership but my title is nowhere near "project manager." I was learning all of the terms and formulas and all of it from scratch. It was a lot to learn in four days but that worked for me and my work/learning style. Overall, I would strongly recommend!

PMA provided post-boot camp resources including reference material, and access to practice exams. The practice exams were difficult, and really challenged me. By the time I took the exam, I was thoroughly prepared and found the exam easy, and passed on my first attempt. What provided the most value for me was my course Facilitator, Mr. Jackson. Not only did he do a great job during the course, but he provided me assistance months after my course. He sent me additional preparation tools, reviewed my PMP application, and encouraged me when I became wary. One of my co-workers attended the course before I did, and although she had a different facilitator, her experience was very similar. Needless to say, I would highly recommend going with PMA if pursuing PMP certification.

Learning about the history is great, because we have a piece of it! Eanes is the oldest operating school in Texas! There are special groups lead by special teachers. You have to complete a certain test to enter one of the groups. I'm in one of the groups called GT. (GT is short for Gifted and Talented.) There is something called specials where you learn about music, art and phys. ed. depending on the day, because there is a A, B, and C day. Every class goes to specials depending on the pattern of their class. Our class'es pattern is: A is phys. ed., B is music, and C is art. Our school is unique also because it's mostly outdoors! There's a bunch of pathways leading here and there, all around the campass!
