The alternator was extremely stubborn to remove, and this repair ended up taking closer to 4 hours. What impressed me most was his persistence. He kept working through the difficulty rather than rushing the job or giving up. By the time he finished, it was well into the dark, and he was still there making sure the repair was completed properly. I also appreciated that he was willing to work with the parts I provided and was transparent about the work being performed. He didn't make me feel rushed, and he stayed focused on getting the vehicle repaired. That kind of dedication is hard to find. When a repair doesn't go exactly as planned, you want someone who is willing to put in the extra time and effort to get the job done right. My Lexus is back on the road, and I am very grateful for the work he put in. Five stars well deserved! The team was attentive, courteous, fast, and professional--and made the entire experience a pleasure. Hayden and AJ took excellent care of me and my car. They explained everything, offered water and coffee three times, checked all my lights, and showed me my air filter. I especially appreciated their honesty: it didn't need replacing, and they explained when it likely would. They also checked and adjusted my tire pressure and walked me through the information on the sticker inside the driver's door jamb. I got an oil change AND a helpful car-care lesson, all while comfortably sitting in my car! The manager, Rueben, even came out to introduce himself and thank me for choosing them. Brakes were fine, just dust build up, so no charge and appreciated. However, I was charged $531.95 for the alternator part alone (GM part #20911162), before labor/tax/fees. The same exact part number is available from Amazon ($199.70), GMPartsGiant ($268.81), and GMPartsClub ($318.59) -- all about half off what I paid, even accounting for normal shop markup over retail. Labor ($192) was fair. I wasn't shown itemized part pricing before authorizing the repair. Ask for the exact part number and price breakdown before agreeing to a repair here, or get a second quote. If you don't, expect to pay completely avoidable and unneccesary markups.

I recalled someone mentioning having their transmission serviced at this Aamco location and did a quick internet search for reviews of the shop. To my suprise, all the reviews were glowingly positive! I decided to give them a try and sure enough, all those other reviews were correct. Sean answered the phone and was immediately friendly and attentive to my needs. I had the vehicle towed to his location and they performed a thorough diagnostic of my vehicle. The part that really exceeded my expectations, however, was how detailed and patient Sean was while explaining to me the diagnostic process, results, and our options moving forward. I felt that he looked at me as more than just a number and genuinely understood the plight of being caught off-guard with a costly automobile repair. He was patient while my wife and I took a few days to carefully consider our options. Ultimately, we've decided not to invest more money into our ageing Acura and to purchase another used vehicle instead. However, because of Sean's excellent customer service- I did not yet experienced the service of the other technicians there, but I would take the other reviewers' word for it- I will definitely take my other vehicles (including our "new" one) to this shop from now on.
