Scout's has the coziest, rustic-chic atmosphere--honestly my favorite vibe of any local coffee…read moreshop. I especially love the quiet mornings here. It's such a peaceful place to start the day. The espresso is incredible. Their cappuccinos are consistently great, and the specialty lattes (my favorite is the maple latte) are so good. They also offer gluten-free pastries. The GF pumpkin pecan muffin is one of my favorites. The staff are always kind and welcoming, and street parking is usually easy to find. My only wish is that they had longer hours; they open at 7:30 AM and close at 4 PM, and as someone who likes to start early and sometimes work in the evenings, I'd love even more time here! Still, an amazing spot and one of my go-tos in town! I definitely recommend checking out Scout's.

Upon entry the barista remembered my friend and she was so kind with helping me make a latte and pastry selection! We both ordered the ginger molasses latte and I ordered the savory whirligig to go (I can't wait to try that later on). As we waited, I perused the store and noticed they had merchandise that included Scout coffee beans made in house, greeting cards, Christmas ornaments and decor, sweatshirts and mugs. They had a pretty large menu lots of seating and my friend shared they have poetry and evening events. The ladies working were super friendly and my latte was perfect!

Pulled up close and was immediately scolded by a man. Explained that my friend has a walker and difficulty walking. We proceeded to purchase $30 worth of plants. Went to back out and the guy came up to my window screaming that I was going to hit planters and telling other customers that they'd better watch out because this "silly bitch" was going to hit them. His command of the English language didn't end there. After a few more misogynistic, vile words came out of his disgusting mouth I realized he wasn't worth my time. Chalked it up to him just being an insecure, very sad little man. Asked him if he was the owner and he refused to say. Went back later and asked around. Ends up it was Lou, the owner. Well Lou. You should really learn something about customer service, and more importantly, accept that you are a weak little man who is intimidated by women who dare to stand up to your foolishness. And just FYI, part of the reason I chose to take my friend to Ercolanos was to also drop off landscaping plans for my entire yard. Am in the process of pricing out nurseries. Guess Lou just cost his own business a nice chunk of change. Oh well Lou. And be warned, you might want be careful who you call a "silly bitch" going forward. The next woman might not take it as well as I did.
