Came here for Pumpkin picking with the family. The entrance fee is $10 for adults, and free for kids under age 7. They had additional things going on (Corn Maze, Corn Cannon, animals that could fed, a live band, an assortment of food vendors, among others) The Corn Maze was pretty cool, we actually completed it. We saw several families, who opted to quit and give up prior to completion. Everyone was pretty friendly, but some of the prices at the store were a little (Ex. Pumpkin pie was $15 and a half gallon of cider was probably almost $6. Nonetheless, the kids enjoyed, and that's always the main agenda when doing like this.

Visiting family nearby this weekend and we decided to checkout this farm. Great fall weekend activities for all ages. $10 adults $8 children over 8. Hayride to pumpkin patch where you find pumpkins and guards of all sizes. Petting zoo with feed provided. Corn maze was a fun family adventure. We tried our hands at the corn shooter. Ended our activities with lunch from the kielbasa truck and lemonade stand.

Love visiting here ! The animals are very sweet and love being hand fed. Great jay ride to a wonderful pumpkin patch. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! Best place to pick up chicks !! We love the pigs and cow

This review pertains only to the store. It looks like they do haunted hayrides or something along the lines, but I can't speak for those shenanigans. The longer I live in Jersey, the more I love it, mainly because of places like Schaefer Farms that remind me just how diverse a state it is. Jersey is "The Garden State" for a reason, after all, but I tend to forget that living and working in Essex County, 10 miles from Manhattan. We stopped here after seeing a sign for fresh apple cider. I figured all we were in store for was a cash-only cider stand, but we got way more than we were bargaining for. Lots of homemade goods, like jarred beets and potato chip labels I've never seen before. I could have been in Upstate New York or somewhere in rural New England and not known the difference. Appears to be family run, presumably by the Schaefers. Not sure if there's a minimum on credit cards, but they do accept them.

LOVE this place! Came here on a Sunday and got to feel like a kid again! Went on the hayride and picked a pumpkin. They have a small animal farm too so I got to feed the goats and the pigs! It's a great place to take the family out on a beautiful Fall day so I would highly recommend this place to anyone living in the area. There's a corn maze and food too. I've been to Norz farm in Hillsborough but I feel like this place is nicer.

It was so bad. Never work for Schaefer's farms. Takes 6 weeks to get paid and they jerk you around the hole time. Not impressed

It was $20(Kinda Pricey) for entrance but it includes a good amount of things to do. I added a picture that lists what all is included. When you arrive, there's a hay ride that takes you to the festival from the parking lot! Very kid friendly and lots of photo opportunities. My favorite part was the corn maze and the pumpkin patch. There are a few things that aren't included in the price. I saw a pumpkin cannon launcher that was extra and it was pretty cool to watch! The food isn't amazing and a bit pricey but it's to be expected really at something like this! They had BBQ, lemonade stand, funnel cakes, Playa Bowls and one of the food trucks had seafood. Over all a good experience to visit once a year with larger group on nice fall day, support your local farms and farmers!

A huge slide with a corn pit, a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin picking, food trucks, and so much more. Pro tips 1. Bring cash, they are cash only. $20 per person to get into the fall festival, there's usually a line because everyone wants to go, and if you forgot cash there is an ATM but the line for thr ATM seems even longer than the entrance line. Bring more than you think, it can get expensive, pumpkins are sold per pound. 2. Bring an extra bag. They do not allow large bags or coolers, however, there are food trucks, and if you'd like to purchase extra to bring home, the trucks do not have bags. It was difficult to walk around with several funnel cakes, drinks, candy apples, fried oreos etc without dropping anything. An extra bag would have been helpful. 3. Dress in layers. It gets cool quickly in the evening but during the day if it's sunny, it could feel comfortable or hot.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. I would definitely have to say hand down to the cute little store - there was a bakery side and oh my gosh the donuts , the cookies and the Tik Tok famous drink was out of this world. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good. They even had a pumpkin cider donut which I never had before. Don't forget to stop by and check them out.

It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.

This orchard was one of the last ones to still have apple picking available in the first week of November which we were super grateful for. I grabbed a bag for my friend who also loved the donuts so much!! One thing I would love to see here is maybe some sort of savory or fresh food options, like a crepe station or panini situation. I would have loved to sit outside in the picnic tables and have a sandwich. After a whole day of apple picking that is probably the only thing that will push this 5 star experience over the top. We ended up visiting this Von Thun location (the other being in South Brunswick) on a super soggy, wet June day just as strawberry picking season was coming to a close and even though the weather wasn't ideal, our family STILL really enjoyed our time here. There were probably only 20-30 other people here at most, but it felt even less considering how large the grounds are here. The lack of folks definitely had to do with the weather as it rained most of the day, but when we arrived the rain had just stopped, so it worked out PERFECTLY. Since it did rain, unfortunately, the farm was a mud slop of a trail and our shoes/sneakers were drenched after picking, but it was great in that there was BARELLLLY anyone here so we had our pick of the farm and didn't have much competition in picking strawberries. Even though the conditions weren't ideal, we picked a massssssive, overflowing bucket of super beautiful and fresh strawberries along with some raspberries too. A lot of strawberries were beat up, but once we got deeper into the strawberry area, we found tons of perfect strawberries. The farm does not allow for eating while picking, but we couldn't help but try a few of the strawberries because they were soooo fresh. AND, we observed plenty of other folks doing the same, so we definitely weren't the only ones. There was also a huge play area too on the farm that we can imagine that if it were busy would be pretty chaotic. Overall, this is a greaaat, greaat farm for picking and we hope to be back on a nice day where we can experience the full offerings of the farm.
