I've been going to Hai San for years, and they have never disappointed me once. The food is always…read moreincredibly fresh, full of flavor, and consistently cooked to perfection every time I order. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve, the ingredients taste fresh, the portions are great, and everything always comes out hot and exactly how it should. No matter what I order, it's always spot on. The staff is another reason I keep coming back. They are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they consistently get every order right, which is something you don't always find these days. In my opinion, this is hands down the best Chinese food in Florida. If you're in the area and want quality, fresh, and delicious food, this place is a must-try.

My favorite Chinese food in the Orlando area!…read more Moved from LA about a year and a half ago and originally I was struggling to find Chinese that was similar to what I enjoyed back home. Took some trial and error until I came across this place. This is the kind of spot that you KNOW is gonna be amazing due to the ambiance - kinda grungy (respectfully), photos of the food on an illuminated board, notes written on the wall on paper that has become yellowed with time. My favorite dishes here are the sesame beef, house pan fried noodles, and veggie egg foo young. Oh and the mushu pork is damn good too, especially their plum sauce. My one wish is that they made honey walnut shrimp! That's a favorite dish of mine which is apparently hard to find around Orlando.

Some of the most flavorful Chinese food I've had in a long time and minus the greasy taste! I would…read morehighly recommend this place! Only thing is they don't honor "No MSG" requests. Medium sized portions for a medium price. Call in orders only. Take out only.

This was my first time at China Tea but I shop at the Publix in Lake Cay Commons regularly…read more I had read the door instructions that say you must call in your order before entering the restaurant. I called ahead and ordered the lunch size Mongolian beef. It is $10 plus tax T-F. They are not open on Sundays or Monday. I requested not spicy and was informed it would be ready in 15 minutes. The meal was waiting for me and she ran my card. I was in and out in under 2 minutes. Since there is no seating, the access inside is to the pickup counter only. I am not sure if it got jostled on the way home or it came like that but the beef and onions and sauce were all mixed together. I would upload a picture but the medium sized clam shell packed full of rice and beef looked all black from the Mongolian sauce. It did not look appetizing. The beef was extremely tender and it had both sliced onions and green onions. The sauce was smooth and not spicy as promised. It was all going to the same place so I guess having it mixed did not really impact the flavor. It was more than I could eat in one meal. I think it was a good value and would order from China Tea again.

Food 1 star. Service 1 star (or less). Shame on you, Yelp. This restaurant was made known to me by…read moreYelp recommendation and it was terrible. The taste and quality of the food is subpar. I ordered some Chinese take out basics and they wiffed badly. Teriyaki beef on a stick was chewy and flavored only by the sauce on the "meat." Nit sure what the meat was. Pork egg roll a d shrimp spring roll didn't taste like they contained protein and the veggie tasted more like a veggie paste. And I ordered Spicy Szechuan Chicken as entree - a house specialty. I asked for medium heat just to be cautious. NO HEAT! And the chicken was chewy. At least it looked very appetizing. The service was equally poor. I ordered from the website which ended up being through a site called Beyond Menu. It allowed me to select a time for my food to be ready. I made the time selection and arrived right on time. Upon arrival I was informed that they cannot promise a time when food will be reedy.I told them they should remove the option from their website. My Norse r was ready a full 20 minutes after my selected time. Even the fortune cookies were far from fresh. A little stale tasting. I would not recommend this take out establishment.
