As an Emerald Club Executive member, I was supposed to be able to choose my car and have an upgrade. When I went downstairs to select my car, I was directed to the booth where two ladies were managing the rentals. I wasn't pleased with the selection of cars. I was told I could have a Dodge Charger, some kind of Buick, a Hyundai Sonata, or a Nissan Altima. I was expecting to have a better upgrade or at least get to choose my car. I took the Altima, and I actually ended up liking it quite a bit. It was initially disappointing because the other 3 choices would have made me mad. Returning the car was fast and easy, it was a little bit unclear where to park it, but the lady checking in the returns said it didn't really matter where I parked.

I love renting from National, mostly because of their amazing and friendly customer service, but…read morealso because of their Emerald Isle. So, when I got here and learned I needed to go to a counter, but they had a large fleet of cars and this was a larger airport, I wasn't too happy. But the service was very nice. I prefer to look through vehicles rather than having them select for me. In this case, I have top tier status with National and the guy before me with non status (comment was made about it being first time with National) was offered an "upgrade" and given a vehicle I would have chosen from the Executive Emerald Isle. When I get there, I'm offered a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I immediately said "No!" It took him about 5 minutes, but he found me a mid-size SUV, which is all I wanted. They should reserve the "upgrades" (if that was truly an upgrade the previous guy got) for those of us who rent on such a regular basis we're truly entitled to them based on our status. Then when I went to get the vehicle and noticed the size of their fleet, I realized there's no reason this location doesn't offer the Emerald Isle. I rent from many larger airports as well and many many tiny airports and understand why they need to do counter service versus the Emerald Isle, this location shouldn't have counter service. All that being said, the car was great. The service was fine. And I was out pretty quickly. As for National's customer service, one of the most annoying things is when I write a mediocre review like this they post this typical response: "...we would like to know more about your experience. Please visit www.nationalcar.com/en/support/contact-us.html to contact us. Please be ready to provide the rental location, rental agreement or reservation number and your contact information. Thank you." But they make it nearly impossible to contact them, so it's very insincere. If you want to reach out to me, PM me on this site, rather than posting these canned replies.

It's a used car lot and they rent the cars they're selling so they're not in perfect condition but it's VERY affordable. I rented a small car and they told me they'd call me when a full size came back and I could swap it out free of charge. The lady working inside is very nice. They require a drivers license, full coverage insurance (they will call your policy holder to verify), & a $100 deposit. They accepted my debit card so don't worry if you don't have a credit card. They refund your deposit the same way you give it to them. If I remember correctly they also accept cash. The cars aren't extremely fancy but they get you from point a to point b which is all I needed. I would definitely recommend. *also to add, I'd call before going because their hours ref very promising. At least not when I went a few months ago. It was hit and miss. Lol nonetheless once you get a hold of someone they're very helpful. I'll def be using them whenever I come into town. It makes too much sense not to. *one more note, it's not the fanciest or jazziest of places but don't be scared by the looks lol they're friendly.

After researching the 2024 BMW i4 and securing bank approval, we called ahead to confirm our intentions and drove three hours to purchase the vehicle. We expected to utilize the current incentives listed on the corporate BMW website, which closely fit our budget and stated that military and loyalty discounts could be applied after a negotiated price. However, the dealership refused to negotiate the sales price, and we encountered multiple inconsistencies: - Financing Discrepancies: The Michael Russell initially offered a 2.99% interest rate for 60 months, which did not match the website. When challenged, he took a photo of the 2.99% for 72 months offer, which the Clayton Moats sales manager then approved. - Dismissive Customer Service: When we spoke to the sales manager regarding the pricing policy, he was dismissive. After I cited the corporate website, he stated we should have called first, despite the fact that we had called in advance. - Misleading Advertising: While the manager acknowledged that the corporate website was misleading regarding negotiations and incentives, he made no effort to remedy the situation or honor the terms. This experience felt like false advertising intended solely to get buyers into the showroom. Due to the lack of resolution and disrespectful treatment, I plan to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and share our experience on social media. I expect a response detailing how this matter will be addressed but I don't think they will respond. Buyers Beware Sincerely, Ivan M.
