Call log from our conversations at that location. The time he told me he had a vehicle and I got to the location at 4pm

Today is the 2nd time that the clerk has made me come all the way across town to fuck me over on a rental car. I called him earlier today because I was referred by another location and told they might have vehicles. So before I called him I made a 2nd reservation for that location just in case. So I give him a call and tell him the situation he looks up my earlier reservation and tells me that he had a car available but the only thing is I have to return to his location. That's not a problem. He then gives me a 1-800-654-3131 number to call and tells me to cancel my recent reservation for his location because he is using my previous reservation. So to be sure I don't get charged a no show fee. It's raining like hell so I spend $30 on an Uber to get a ride here so my finance isn't driving in this weather with my son. I get here to the location and he asked me for my drivers license and credit card then he tells me oh your name isn't showing up on my list!! I said what do you mean you just told me on the phone you had my previous reservation and gave me the details. And said you had a car for me. He's like yea but I didn't think you were coming so I rented the vehicle to someone else. How in the hell do you think I'm not coming when I just told You on the phone I was on my way. He said well you canceled the reservation. I said bro you told me to cancel the freaking reservation and gave me the 1-800 number but my other reservation you said you were using is still active. Well idk what to tell you. So then I ask him for the number to corporate and he tells me to look it up. I had to tell him again to give me the number. So he finally gives me the number and when I asked for his name he refused to give it to me. But this is the customer service that HERTZ employees to run locations. He finally gives me the name Travis and when I dial the number to corporate he takes his stuff and walk out back and sit around back there waiting for time to go by. I get corporate in the line and she proceeds to call him but of course he's not inside because he knew they'd be calling. I had to physically go out back and get him as he sitting down watching videos on his phone. Corporate finally calls back and he lies and tells her he couldn't rent me a car because other people had reservations for tomorrow and can't break their contracts. This is the worse customer service I have ever experienced and the crazy part this is the 2nd time it's happened to me at this location with the same individual. The first time I saw him do the same thing to an individual that was booking on his corporate account as well. Found out the guy lied about his name after the fact and it's ad because he's apparently the assistant manager and his name is Trevor. Never would I expect a business to operate so poorly

My mother rented a car from you guys for a family trip to Tennessee. We keep the car for a nice amount of time wonderful experience until the return process. An Asian guy did the final inspection and claimed he smelt "weed" in the car. Didn't say anything until my mother got the receipt and saw an extra $300 charge. We both were flabbergasted. We have very important jobs that don't allow us to partake in those things, don't even like the smell quite frankly. Then when we asked for cards or any information to identify themselves when we talk to costumer service they refused and stated " I don't care who did it, I still smell it. And I don't have to give u any information" while bobbing his head and using hand gestures. We couldn't believe this was actually happening. Not to mention they called police on us because we were "hostile". Completely racially profiled. We felt embarrassed, disgusted, horrific, just overall sick to my stomach after leaving and thought about the situation. Not only have they caused humiliation to me and my mother In front of another Costumer, but have really lost a loyal hertz gold member.

AVOID HERTZ!

Nothing like getting a car the reeks of marijuana. When we returned the car and told them about it their response was absolutely nothing.

Hertz completely helpful both times I rented from the Shawnee location. The cars worked well for the most part and it was a good deal.

Terribly slow service. Don't expect to pick up your rental on time. They are usually an hour behind and really don't seem to care.

This has been my third rental in 3 months. First time with Hertz. I have NEVER experienced customer…read moreservice from a car company like this. Let's start from the beginning: Called location to verify a car for an insurance claim was available as I didn't want to get a ride there and it's not. The phone rang for 10 mins the first time, I hung up and called right back, this time 9 mins. No one ever answered. I went online to reserve and the soonest I could pickup was 2 hours. I arrived one hour after and was not acknowledged for 10 mins. So unorganized and customers waiting for Uber leases were sitting around for close to two hours as there is only one person to do that. The staff are all working in disarray, no sense of structure. While waiting, I overheard the manager, Robert say things to customers like, "The system lets you reserve a car online even though we don't have anything; we have cars in our fleet but I can't rent out because the car registrations need to be renewed; I don't have anything available because some of the cars need oil changes or service work. I finally got called to be helped. I asked him about the phones, he said they are in the back office. At no time during my visit did I hear a phone ring. Either they are literally in the back, or it's not something they can handle with how chaotic the store is. When calling the 800 number, they say you have to call the local office for specific questions but how when noone can be reached? It's so unprofessional for a national business. They seem to not be able to find my reservation and when they did, they didn't have the car size available. They said that he can put me in something smaller and I can "email" him next week to see if anything else has come in that he can switch me to. I tried to finish the process, asked him if I can use tap. He said "not for insurance claims, it's a different system and the insurance system is archaic." While he was trying to finish up my transaction, he was called in several directions and nothing flowed. Several customers were waiting outside for a car to go to the car wash and be cleaned out or was told that nothing was available after waiting with a confirmed reservation. Once I got my car, it was not vacuumed and it had a nice sized chip in the front windshield. The person that gave me my car says, "These new cars don't have durable windshields like they used to so this has a chip. But it'll be okay to drive." I'm quite sure the customer was charged for it even though it's not fixed. I asked for the car to be changed out for another that I felt would be safer but of course, nothing was available. I asked if it can be cleaned out. The manager, Robert said that it should've and he will go and do it himself. A few minutes later he said that his porter will take care of it. The porter brought it back after running through a car wash but the inside was still not vacuumed. After being here for over an hour, i was fed up. I just took the car and left. For a 2026 SUV with 15K miles on it, it drives older. It seems that maintenance hasn't been done on the vehicle. I called my claims adjuster to inform of the poor service and she apologized. Said that she will cancel the reservation and send it over to Enterprise. I can't believe that had such an ordeal. I am sure it's going to be a headache of returning. I don't look forward to it.
