I am legit shocked with my great experience renting a car from this location!…read more So, someone pulled a hit and run on my car leaving such damage that I couldn't open up my drivers door. To drive my car I needed to go in the passenger door and maneuver myself over to the drivers side. If you think you'd be a bit clumsy doing this? Imagine that ramped up to a thousand and you'd have a little bit of an idea of how I fared before bringing in my car to the shop. They said it would take a week and off to rent I went! They are so nice at this location, and they don't pull the weird stuff many renting cars worry about. I can't recommend this location enough. No surprise charges, very kind people, and a ton of value when you're left in a tough situation!

Mossy Nissan Poway was the complete opposite. A huge thank you to Sophia, who won me over with her empathy, honesty, and genuine client-first approach in what can often feel like a man's world. Gael was an outstanding salesman and even spent time playing Hangman with my daughters along with the manager Jayson making what could have been a long day one they'll actually remember fondly. Thank you to Tim, the finance manager, for finding great financing and taking the time to customize a warranty that fit my needs instead of trying to sell me something I didn't want. And a special thank you to Jayson for going above and beyond to earn my business. He gave me one of the most competitive deals and repeatedly reminded me that if the numbers didn't work for me, I was free to walk away. That's the least pressure I've ever felt buying a vehicle, and it's something every consumer should remember--you can always walk away. The biggest surprise? My 8-year-old and 12-year-old daughters spent nearly five hours at the dealership with no kids' area and both left saying it was "the best time ever." That says everything about the hospitality and atmosphere the team created. We drove home in our brand-new 2026 Pathfinder SL feeling excited instead of exhausted. And with the amazing competitive deals made I for the first time ever woke up with 0 buyers remorse anxiety! One final note: after I purchased my vehicle, Mossy Nissan El Cajon called to say they could beat the deal by another $500--after previously requiring financing and expensive warranty purchases to get their pricing. By then, my decision had already been made. Price matters, but honesty, consistency, and how you're treated matter even more. Thank you, Mossy Nissan Poway, for earning our business. I would recommend you without hesitation!

At 37,343 miles, the emergency braking radar sensor failed. That would have been well over $2,000 out of pocket, but it was fully covered and repaired at zero cost to me. He also said he had no other vehicles available. I was not offered an alternative vehicle. I am a Hertz Gold member and had prepaid for the rental. Their email confirmed that the vehicle will be reserved even if I am delayed. But I was not given any vehicle. I had to go to another car rental. The following day the entire amount of $305 were charged to my credit card. This is fraudulent. I found the experience frustrating and the staff attitude condescending. This is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

My reservation said Chevrolet equinox or similar. Instead, they gave me a Jeep that was nothing like an SUV and charged me an additional $89 "upgrade" fee for an SUV. Aside from the fact that I reserved an SUV, my wife wouldn't have even been able to get into a Jeep. I was forced to pay the additional fee to accommodate my wife's disability as we were leaving for her father's wedding that day. To add insult to injury, the SUV they gave me (after paying more) was dirty and had not been cleaned. It was covered in pet hair and even had the last renter's glasses still in the back seat (if they had cleaned the car and actually cared about their customers, I imagine they would have cleaned the car, removed the glasses, and called the previous renter to let them know). I also feel the customer service agent was very rude and unaccommodating when I asked them to make things right. I usually use the Rancho Bernardo Avis for rentals and should have stayed with them. Lesson learned.

This was a bad experience, saved only by Budget Rental in Poway…read more I tried booking a car through AARP. after filling out all the details three times the Budget website would not work with theAARP site. I eventually booked using the Budget number which transfered me to the Caribbean call center, which went well. On the day I went to collect the car at mid day, the office was closed. A note in the window said to call or text. I did and the person said she was out doing stuff and would be back. Fifteen minutes later I called again to politely enquire when she would back, thinking that if she was going be a while I would get lunch. She curtly told she was already there. Her manner throughout the transaction was humorless and unfriendly, despite my attempts to make light conversation. She then gave me a Nissan Altima, instead of the Toyota Corolla I had reserved. I queried this and was told nothing else was available. However, there were several Toyotas on the lot. Upon driving the Altima home, the left side suspension made a knocking sound, felt worn and I felt uncomfortable driving it on the freeway to San Francisco. I returned to the office but once again, it was closed, despite me leaving a message saying that I was returning. I called the number several times, no answer. I left several messages, no call back. I sent several texts, no response. Eventually, I called the main office, explained my dilemma and was advised to change the car at next nearest Budget center. Tony at Budget in Poway was extremely helpful, friendly and had me another vehicle in no time. I highly recommend using this office in Poway. A good experience. Tony said I could return the car to the RB Budget office, but I declined, as I didn't want anything to do with someone so unprofessional and devoid of customer skills. I will probably, not use Budget again, as RB is close to me and there is an alternative.

The car wasn't brand-new (nor did I expect it to be‼), but I just wanted something reliable that drove from Point A to Point B. My rental looked more than decent & was very dependable. I liked how convenient it was to drop-off my rental in their parking lot after business hours too! And I received my deposit back the next day. If you are looking for a car to look flashy in however this may not be the place for you. I subtracted one star because: Every time you rent from them, you have to pay extra for a credit check which I am totally fine with. However even if you rented a car from them a wk ago - you still have to pay for another credit check to obtain a rental. Also, I had reserved a rental using their online reservation system but when I called to confirm if the vehicle was available, the agent told me the reservation never went through. Finally, the rental car market was pretty much saturated in July (not their fault) + I was told to keep calling to see if they had any available rentals. The person who was answering the phones sounded a bit annoyed when I called multiple times. All in all, a great place to goif you are looking for an affordable rental car solution!!
