That's not the end of the world though - I'm a reasonable person - the real problem was no one could help me for days: not the local office, not corporate, no one - and even after 5 days when they finally replaced my car and promised me a refund, they failed to refund me - I started calling them every week and nicely explaining my situation, but they just kept telling me that only the local manager can help, and the local manager ignored me every time. And it gets worse... when they wouldn't refund me I disputed the credit card charge, and they told my credit card company there was nothing wrong and took the money back. I've re-disputed and I hope to have success, now a month later.

Us waiting customers just got transferred around by enterprise customer service on the phone, nobody helped. After an hour, the employee appeared, claiming that there had been a family emergency. However, it was very unplausible. He was laughing and seemed to enjoy the anger of us waiting. He was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, didn't apologize appropriately and refused to give out his name. However, they charged me $200 more on a $470 booking. The fun part is that the car they gave me wasn't cleaned. It had someone's hair on the back seat and food UNDER the seats. The car started showing 'Replace Oil' and other weird things mid-journey. The best part is that their website doesn't show any email. The phone numbers are only for roadside assistance. There's absolutely no way of getting to know why I was charged more. If you're reading this review, reconsider choosing AVIS/BUDGET. They're failing in the market for a reason. He explained all the charges and gave me what I thought was a decent deal considering we'd have the car for 11 days. The car was actually a minivan which was perfect so that we had plenty of room. I would have given them five stars, but the cars exterior was really dirty. Overall, we have always had a great experience with Budget.
