I would not waste your time or money to rent from this location. I reserved a vehicle for 9 am pick up. Show up at 8:55 with the employee smoking in Front of the entrance to the building and was told I don't open till 9 am. I said that was fine and can wait till 9. Was then told your vehicle won't be ready until 11 with no solution other than waiting till 11. This location's employees provide zero assistance or solutions for a problem. Would be nice to know when you make a reservation for a specific time that it was not going to be available. How about a call to the customer or Hertz saying we will drop the car off to you at 11. Zero customer service and poor attitudes toward the customer. read more

If I could rate this location a half star I would. I used to use this location because I liked the people that worked there. Not anymore. You are lucky if you can get them to even answer the phone and when they do forget them calling back. I was pit a rental that was dirty and had an odor. When I called the rude worker advised it was not dirty because she cleaned it. My advice is stay away from This place. Pay the extra and go to Enterprise a block away. They were far more professional and nice and had a much better selection. read more

I was scheduled to pick up my rental at 4:00 pm and arrived there at 3:55 pm. The young girl Hannah was very apologetic and said the rental was over at Mikes Collision by the airport and was getting fuel. She said it would be around 1/2 hour. It was more like 45 min and they had to clean out the car when they got back so overall it was an hour I had to wait. Not sure what they cleaned because it was so dirty you could barely see out the window from all the smoke in the car. It reeked so bad of cigarettes that we had to leave the windows down all night and spray it down. It made our clothes smell like smoke so we bought an air freshener and took febreeze with us on the trip. The car was not full it was 3/4 of a tank too. Very dishonest people. We clearly stated we did not want insurance when guy helping us said well your a gold member, you get all this insurance anyways. Forward to following day when I drop off car. My bill is suppose to be $125ish. I swipe card and realize they charge me $250isj. When I ask manager Mandy isn't bill was so much. She states, well you have 3 different insurances added. These people are crooks. I rented a car for two days and they charged me almost $500. I went to their shop to straighten things out and they stumbled and fumbled through the paperwork and agreed to issue me credit...never got it. I went in to ask about it and the guy said his boss approved the credit and it's in the works. It's been a month and still no credit issued. Not only are these people dishonest, they aren't very bright. During the process the employee I was working with I had to answer his questions several times and correct him when he entered the data. **DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ! THEY'VE FILED BANKRUPTCY AND RUNNING A BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM!** I reserved and prepaid for a 2-day rental with Hertz. I extended the rental for one (1) day, prepaying in full online, as phone extensions are charged an additional fee. After I returned the Rental vehicle, ALL my rates were inflated and almost $200 in charges were reflected. I called to complain & they were removed with the exception of the extended day. Adrian acknowledged the incorrect charge, saying it was a "mistake" on their part, that I would be refunded immediately. That was on 1/18/21. He later emailed twice, saying it would be corrected. Still hasn't been. I spoke to Michael Bailey, who gave me the runaround and hung up on me. I reported Hertz & the unauthorized charge to my financial institution & filed a Complaint with the Illinois Attorney General's Office, Federal Trade Commission and other entities. After some research, I discovered that Hertz is scamming people out of money with their Bait and Switch scam and other scams, then trying to hide behind their bankruptcy. I also read the Vanity Fair article regarding same. I have seen all the complaints in news, Twitter and other about these scams by Hertz. read more
