They clearly do things... differently... here from what you'd experience at other, larger airports and rental car companies. In some ways, I guess you could call it trusting. In other ways, it just seems lazy. When I arrived, I was standing at the counter just waiting for someone to come back. No clue where they were, but there were about a dozen keys strewed out on the back table and someone could have easily walked around the counter and just grabbed one before walking out to the car lot. The guy who worked there clearly had zero clue that people coming to the airport and renting cars might be new to the area and not know the layout of the lot. I went out and headed in the wrong direction before doubling back and finding where my car was. There was no one to document any pre-existing damage on the vehicle, so I went ahead and took my own photos, which are now posted to this page. It was a frustrating experience. When I got back to drop off the car, the spot I got it from was filled, so I parked it as close as possible. As I was walking into the airport, a lady asked for help pulling up the odometer on the car she was renting and I didn't know how to do that for the vehicle type she was in. We figured it out with a bit of help from Google. Of course, that was my tip that no one came out to the car to evaluate the car upon return, so I went back to the spot, got my own mileage reading, took my own finished product photos, and walked in.

We asked to see the video to prove this and were threatened with the police. I am an elderly disabled woman. So all that said I was out 800.00 deposit + rental + 1k if I didnt turn around and take it back to Abiliene. I feel this location is a borderline scam. Go with another rental company and just save yourself the hassle and lies. Flat tire? Fixed...not once but twice. I always recommend you purchase roadside assistance. Twice we have had to switch vehicles in different states and it has never been a hassle. Once was Louisiana due to a flat fixed with only a spare. The nearest Enterpise put us in another vehicle without question. This time was in NM. Roswell, to be exact. The car from my local office began making a horrible sound. We found the only Enterprise open on Sat. At the airport. The manager was incredible and so kind! She immediately put us into another car. 10 minutes total, in and out. I'm so grateful for this company. They honor their word! While driving in Gail, Texas, a bobcat ran out in front of our car (which was going 75mph). The…read morebobcat and our radiator did not survive the encounter. We called AAA for a tow and they sent Mkm Wrecker. The tow truck arrived sooner than we expected. The driver quickly got the car ready for a tow and we were on our way to Abilene (~100 miles away). The driver was friendly throughout the 2 hour trip; we talked about the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup, cooking, renewable energy, and many other topics. When we arrived in Abilene he took us to our hotel to drop off our luggage, then we dropped off the car at a Firestone, and he took me back to the hotel. What great service! They say that Texas is the friendliest state in the nation and I now believe them thanks to Mkm Wrecker.
