    Late review... First…read moretime Silvercar user in Phoenix. This has got to be the easiest and quickest I've gotten a rental. From Sky Harbor, a quick shuttle ride to the Silvercar lot. Someone comes out and greets you, gets you set up. Pull up the app, scan the bar code and off you go. May have taken 10 minutes tops from the shuttle to on the road in an A4. Best experience I've had at a rental agency. All paperwork completed on the app beforehand saves so much time. Definitely not the last time I'll be using Silvercar, either in Phoenix or other cities with availability.

We decided to ask the Silvercar concierge if they had availability for a Q5 at that time. The reply was very prompt and they had a Q5 at that time. We headed to the Blue Sky Shuttle from terminal 4 which takes you to the Silvercar parking location. We had to scan the code on the Audi and it unlocked by itself. No lines, no counters! The staff were all very nice and courteous, they helped us with our luggage and off we went! The car was a clean and new Q5 with all the bells and whistles. It is an excellent car to take for road trips. The return was again no hassle and great. All in all it was a great experience costing less than what we would've paid for a fully loaded luxury car at another company. If I come to Phoenix again or another city that has Silvercar, I'll definitely use them!

Please be wary of booking through the Costco travel site as they offer no benefits. I would be better off booking through sites like Priceline or Expedia as we have never paid $632.76 for a 3 day rental in Phoenix, AZ. Please be wary of renting a car through Avis as they add all sorts of chages that are never heard of. The taxes on my receipt are 16.1%. Arizona does not have a sales tax that high. The combined sales tax rate of chandler is only 7.8%.

They're conveniently located right near where I live and I enjoy having them so close. Today I went to pick up a vehicle I had reserved online through Costco. Nico was working and I have dealt with him a bunch throughout the years. I had reserved a standard car and Nico gave me a Nissan Altima and explained that he was a little short on cars. We did the paperwork and walk around and everything and Nico was nice throughout the process. When I got into the car and drove off I noticed the smell of cigarette smoke coming out of the vents. I figured that someone must have smoked a cigarette and then got in the car and maybe it would go away after awhile. After driving it for a little but, the smell wasn't going away and when it comes to cigarette smoke and the smell of it, I'm very sensitive. I also have asthma and COVID did a number on my lungs when I had it about a year and a half ago. Since Nico said he was short on cars I began calling around to other Budget/Avis locations around my area and no one had anything they could swap the car out with. I then called Nico and explained the situation and he said that I would have to call the airport to see if they had anything. Why he wasn't going to call for me is beyond me but that's a moot point because I wasn't going to go down to the airport anyway. I called Enterprise and was able to get a car from them so I returned the Avis rental to Nico. When I walked in, he didn't even recognize me and said, "Returning a car?" When I handed him the contract he looked confused and said, "You just picked this up..." and I jogged his memory by stating I called. I re-explained that the car smelled like cigarette smoke and that it wasn't going to work for me. Nico didn't apologize or show one ounce of empathy and instead said, "Well, I have to charge you for a full day since the car left the lot." I literally had the car for an hour and a half and he's going to charge me for a full day? I was extremely taken back by the lack of customer service/empathy. He wound up charging me almost $40 for the hour I had the car. I wound up calling Corporate and they supposedly refunded it, but seriously...who wants to have to do that. I have been a customer at this location for many years and I have to say I'm going to seriously reconsider going here. The Enterprise location on Chandler Blvd is way better and they actually treat you like a valid customer.

Eric, a veteran like myself was amazing to deal with. Very thorough and professional checking out the car for me. Dropping off the car was just as pleasant working with Justin. Again very helpful and professional and made returning the car super easy. Only thing was the car had a light odor and looking at the service sticker it appears the vehicle was 12k miles over the recommended oil change mileage-- and the car sure drove like it. Let the staff know and they were going to look at this. Stellar customer service, just need a little extra attention to the vehicles. Looking forward to going back soon.

And I leased a car from here for a yearly Disneyland and had the best customer…read moreservice , my car gave out and assumed me would get the same customer service Assistant manager Brandon assisted us and gave us a around around with documents that we provided 1 week before .. then all our paper work went through and proceed to tell my husband he will upgrade him to a complementary upgrade cause of the hassle but continued to charge us full price . We delivered the vehicle back with full gas and he ignored us and said we wanted that which he upgraded us on us. Plus he told us the guy that helped us was fried because he was skipping steps.. how is this fair and I personally think he is low key racist he didn't wanna help us we work hard at a hospital medical lab technicals and at the casino why be making us struggle more brandon .. worst experience

We booked through Priceline because we honestly weren't sure what rental car places were in our area. To find Hertz, you enter the San Marcos Hotel lobby, then immediately take a right followed by another right into their office. The employees who helped us get the car were very friendly. They have a relatively small fleet, so we were offered the choice between a Kia Soul or Tesla Model 3. Naturally, we went with the Tesla! The pickup process took a little under an hour, which is way too long, IMO. We were the only customers in there, so that is my reason for not giving a full five stars. At pickup, I did really appreciate that they took pictures inside/outside of the car from every angle and email them to you, proving prior damage (or lack thereof). The car was very clean as well. Drop off was super easy. Their hours are 8-5, but you have the option of using the key drop box if you're bringing the car back after hours.

When I pulled up to the destination return airport there was a sign for Hertz rental car returns. Would have been nice if the sales lady knew how to confirm a reservation and not sent me to Budget in a $30 Uber I had to pay for also. Always going to use Budget from now on.
