Within 2 years it started to fail, chipping off, warping. They came out and advised us that it was water however it was in areas that are nowhere near water. Their fix was to give my husband trim which we had to purchase and my husband installed it around the bottom of the cabinets. I would advise not resurfacing your existing cabinets because at least with the Cabinet Doctors it won't withstand time. Absolutely Terrible Experience - Avoid West Pacific Cabinets…read more We made the mistake of supporting a local business, thinking it would lead to better service and communication -- instead, it turned out to be the worst decision we could've made. The entire process was a nightmare from start to finish. The project took extremely long to complete with little to no updates throughout. Communication was nearly nonexistent, and when we did get in touch, it felt like we were being brushed off or treated like an inconvenience. To make matters worse, the delivery team dropped our cabinets off the truck -- and then had the audacity to try and deliver those same damaged pieces! The installers were no better: rude, unprofessional, and clearly uninterested in doing a quality job or treating us with basic respect. We gave our trust (and a lot of money) to West Pacific Cabinets, hoping to support local -- but the result was stress, delays, and a very disappointing product. Do yourself a favor: do not waste your time or money with this company.

I totally recommend Sacramento Millworks. Skip the big box kitchen designers, and contractors using…read morestock cabinets and call Raymond! I love my kitchen and I've also approached him about a future project. I had a basic 1970's era condo kitchen-outdated but can't really change the footprint. I tried to revive it with refacing. It still didn't function well, but I worked around it. A leak in the wall behind the cabinets, forced an unexpected remodel. I received estimates from several contractors using stock or RTA "IKEA" kitchen cabinets. The cabinets I saw in these stores did not seem as sturdy as my existing cabinets. I couldn't customize and would have similar unusable spaces where the pre-made cabinets are put together. The contractors and pre-made cabinet stores told me custom cabinets would cost twice as much as their estimates. While looking for design ideas, I saw multiple Houzz and Reddit posts stating a local carpenter could give me custom cabinets at a much better price. I am so glad I paid attention to the posts! That's how I found Sacramento Millworks. His price for my project was comparable to the quotes I received for stock cabinets. Raymond is a carpenter and a designer. Because of his experience, he handled everything. He walked me through everything, including a trip to the granite and tile shops. I just picked colors. He was very patient. Most of contractors I've worked with recently send employees to do the work. They just pop in here and there until it's time for payment. Raymond was on site working with one helper everyday. I really appreciated that!
