I had a small job, a single cabinet door that had warped, so I found them on Yelp and they told me to bring the door in. Jacob, the owner, was a great guy and showed interest in helping me even though I wasn't spending a lot of money on a large project. He explained my options and we ultimately decided to have the door rebuilt. Since he outsources paint jobs, I agreed to find my own painter since that allowed him to squeeze me in and cut a door for me on the spot. He gave me a quick showing of his work area and the CNC machine that he uses, and the new door was completely flat and a perfect replacement for the old one. Awesome. Since I had to find my own painter, I ultimately had a painting company do the door when they painted my house. Unfortunately, the result was not the same professional finish that my other cabinet doors have. So I brought the door back to Jacob and he agreed to have his painter fix it. After a bit of a wait, the new door was ready. The finish is now completely smooth, the way a professional cabinet job should be. On top of that, the price was quite reasonable. This company is run by the man of the same name and he is a true old-school professional. When I hire any kind of contractor, I usually go with my gut feeling during and after the interview. Do they show up on time? Is their vehicle in good condition? Are they polite? Check, check, check. Do they ask pertinent questions while they are there? Do they get the estimate to you in a timely manner? Are their prices reasonable? Check, check, check. I got a good vibe from him right from the start, but the best was yet to come. Deciding to go with Bob was one of the best decisions i've ever made (marrying my wife is still tops!) He and his helper Jose showed up every day right at 8:00 AM sharp and got straight to work. To say that they work quickly and efficiently would be a gross understatement. They have a great system and work like the proverbial well-oiled machine. At the end of every day, they cleaned up after themselves and stacked the ladders neatly off to the side. No half empty paint cans. Not one speck of trash. The only way you know that they were there was that the prep work was done and/or there was new paint on some part of the house. Do you see a pattern here? Total pros who take pride in their work. They work the way they do because that's how it SHOULD be done. That kind of work ethic is sadly very rare these days. And I cannot say enough about the QUALITY of the work. Everything masked off perfectly, no runs, drips, or overspray. Believe me, I looked and looked, but did not find one thing that wasn't first rate.
