I decided to post here, in addition to Nextdoor.com (which are the where the wording pics are from), because other people's OP were being deleted, subsequently deleting my comments; & when I hired them, I looked at Social Medias & Yelp & didn't see any complaints (which now others have chimed in since I did an OP). This is exactly what these platforms are for, to help one another find the best & avoid the worst; giving details allows anyone to make their own informed decision (I'll be the first to admit I'm guilty of just consuming vs. reviewing). I too was having trouble getting Greg to come back after paying him/Jackie. We scheduled three appts, & they never showed up to finish the corners they cut, even though it was spelled out in their contract. I questioned it before paying, & figured I could trust Greg's "everything passes" response, since he's the owner, gave a 10-year warranty, is licensed & bonded, & has a decades-long career. In full disclosure: would I have hired them again after their initial job? NOPE. I was kind about their lack of communication, in my original comment compliment on Nextdoor.com, because I don't take lightly to bashing small businesses in a small town. Sooooo at the same time of me asking them to come back, I asked for another quote, thinking they would respond in good faith to both (since it'd only cost them in the hundreds to finish what they didn't, as long as they were going to make thousands more on the new work; because I realize when most get paid, they don't come back; I was trying to make it a win-win). Wow, was I wrong! To be clear: I'm totally fine with them not wanting to quote additional work, as I appear to be of the rare bread of holding people accountable to their word (& they consider that "really hard to work with"). Who wants to hold another adult accountable? It's uncomfortable (& why we have contracts/laws). They also claim they "went beyond to make me happy" yet I can't find a single item they did that wasn't in their contract. You can expect to see the defensive response coming, likely similar to the one received on the other review last month. When I made the above points on Nextdoor.com, Jackie responded with "It's sad that you think like that as a Christian. Business can change. Jennifer, just like people can. Forgive and move on." WTH?! The Bible is clear about being a person of your word, & change is shown by repentance; of course we can forgive, this just doesn't mean we let people off the hook of consequences... I will say: what they did do is beautiful (again, it's incomplete; not only by my opinion, but of the City Inspector *who their employee told me to have come out* who issued a correction notice they ignored, & other Contractors all agreeing they didn't meet industry standards [see just the few sample pics for yourself, do these areas look caulked & repaired...?!]). We spent thousands last year to remove termite damage, dry rot & mold, & they left my home exposed to have it happen all over again (please take this as your reminder to go walk around your house & ensure it's sealed, & have it inspected by a termite company before more rain comes; the longer we wait, the more the damage, the higher the cost). I simply just wanted my house protected from the weather, as outlined in their contract. I don't understand the point of offering a 10-year warranty if they aren't going to uphold it.‍ read more

I got great service and value from Greg and his team at Hernandez Painting. They were recommended by my real estate agent, and I'm glad I booked them on her word. I'm not sure if some of the other reviewers had an agenda. This is what I wrote on the day they finished, while it was fresh in my mind: "The painting on the mobile home looks great. It certainly will add to the value of the place. But I was most impressed with the attention to detail, and making sure the finishing touches were done right. I appreciated the courtesy of everyone on the job, and their willingness to make sure it was done right." Now, a week later, I feel the same. This is an old mobile home, and they took a lot of care with some fragile areas to make sure it looks its best. read more

It looks like we had the same experience everyone else has. I wanted to add a review since I didn't do it when we had our job done back in May of 2022. Greg did a lot of talking about how good he was and all his workers were, but when we communicated from day 1 about our concerns of the half a@@ job they were doing, he just kept showing us pictures from other jobs and saying how "everyone is so happy". He told me up front that he was licensed in construction as well so he could fix the dry rot we had by our door and on our chimney... when he said "fix" he meant put putty in it... and when we say putty, it was already cracked out and exposed within a month of them leaving. I could go on and on about our issues that were communicated and all of the promises he made that never happened. I have pictures and text message logs to prove it all.. including promises to come back and fix work that have never happened. I can also bring in the realtor who recommended them to us, who had MULTIPLE clients that he did the same to. Some of them he collected and never did the job. Some of them he just did a crappy job, like ours. I would not recommend Greg and Hernandez painting, or Alpha Painting or whatever name they are running under now. read more

Work was great and workers were respectful. I'm sad to say that in the beginning Greg comes off as awesome and helpful but in the end he will duck and dodge to do touch ups and reach out. DO NOT PAY HIM UNTIL YOU GET TOUCH UPS DONE. I know you read these things Greg, if you keep treating people the way that you do then you are going to not make anymore money. What goes around comes around. I can't believe you are an actual business. You owe me touch ups. I'll take this down if you do them. read more

We contracted Hernandez Painting in Lemoore CA for a job on a home. Initially the relationship was great. We were asked to make a deposit which we did. About 2 weeks into the project we were asked to make a 2nd payment, which we did. Another week went by & we were asked if we could make another payment. We decided at this point since the project was more than 2/3 thirds complete that we would simply pay the remaining balance. That turned out to be a mistake. Despite multiple attempts & multiple promises to return & finish the project by Greg Hernanderz, the owner, they have not returned & a long list of items remains incomplete. 6/20/23 Sent a text asking when they would finish. We were told Friday. They were a no show. Saturday 6/24/23 we sent a text showing the rotted posts his "wood guy" had left in the railing they were supposed to fix, the pile of trash he left in our yard, the unpainted window frame, the door threshold never repaired or stained, the door frame & door jam never repaired or stained and we were told the owner would "walk it Monday." He was a no show. Sent a text on 6/28/23 stressing the importance of getting this project completed as our wedding is nearing and guests start arriving on 7/15/23. We were told the "wood guy" was in jail for a DUI but it "would be done in a few days." 7/3/23 sent another text asking for a completion date & noting that it was imperative for this to get done before 7/15. We were old "the job will be completed by the 9th and everything will be dry by the 10th." They were a no show on the 9th & a no show on the 10th. We sent another text on 7/10/23 stating that we were starting to get frustrated. We were told that "ALL his techs were out till Thursday with COVID." We stated that we would be furious if this project wasn't completed by Friday & received a sarcastic response, "It will be. Thanks for asking how the guys are." Today, 7/18/23 still no call, no text & the work remains incomplete. This company stole our money. read more

We were referred to him by a realtor that they did good work. Greg- the owner was very good at coming out in a timely manner and scheduling us asap. The workers who painted our paneling and kitchen area did an awesome job. They were very respectful and made sure to clean everything up. But, unfortunately some touch-ups were required cause paneling is hard to cover. When we made the final payment Greg said the workers would be coming back in a few days to do touch ups and paint kitchen door. Well no one ever called or came by so my husband reached out to him. First he acted like he didn't know who he was then he said oh I will schedule a crew to come by on 12/11 at 10am and have them do touch- up work. No one has ever came by or called. We gave him a chance even after reading alot of negative reviews and unfortunately the reviews were somewhat true. Very disappointing for a owner to treat customers like that. With that being said I would never refer anyone to him. Follow- up is crucial and a big part of any business. read more
