The service was so bad I decided to send in the following complaint to them regarding their rude, snobbish and uncaring customer service 'professionals' (can they be called that?!?!):
I'd say this is more of a complaint about the terrible customer service I have thus far received from your branches and anyone I've spoken to over the phone. The only people who were helpful and friendly where in Harrods. However when I turned up at Sloane Street, the staff wouldn't even make eye contact or apologise for the delay in people being served, we were waiting for over 15 minutes and had to keep approaching staff to ask to be served, this wasn't just us, go through your CCTV for today and see how riled up people were getting, and not even an 'we apologise for the wait' from your staff who just assume it's our job to wait for them. They're rude, they're uncaring.
Asked about your complaints procedure I was told to 'write a letter, send it to the store I was standing in, then they would send it to head office', my response? We don't like in the dark ages. Eventually after making a fuss I was given the store's email address, how pointless it is to email the store to complain about them, so they can vet the complaints and chose not to send to head office damning reports of their service! Seems to me they are acting like Gatekeepers!
I would HIGHLY recommend you send a few secret shoppers to the store, it's a disaster, I hope never to have to step foot in it again. Wasted 20 minutes of my time only to eventually be served and told 'no we don't have Belkin bags and you'll need to keep coming in and asking to find out if we have them in stock'!
Your goods cost £500+ you'd think your customer service would represent such a distinguished brand.
Furthermore I'm still waiting for a reply to my voicemail which was left 3 days ago after I was on hold so long I decided to take advantage of your call back service which stated if I left my details someone would call me back.
Honestly your service is beyond shoddy... high street shops provide a better, more friendly service.
I honestly hope I never go back in, and I'm recommending my friend, who sent me to buy the Belkin bag for her, purchase a bag from a company who respect their customers.
