This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in some time. We arrived into Liverpool earlier that morning and we were hungry for dinner. This location was recommended by a local so we tried it. Upon entering, it is a smaller establishment with a second floor. There are more tables up here, but it is a little warmer. The decor is very simple. This is one area they could possibly improve on. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They helped us to choose things from the menu and explained the items to us with detail.
We tried several of the dishes here. We started with the flatbread and hummus. This was homemade and very delicious! We then had the ox cheek ragu and the chistorra sausage. Both of these dishes were very flavorful, especially the ox cheek. This was the first time I've had ox cheek and it was quite unexpected. The sausage was a little on the greasy side. Ox cheek won that round. Then we had the cauliflower and the Indian spiced bean. Both of these dishes were absolutely wonderful. This round was a tie. Last round we had the sea bass and the coley. Both of the fish dishes were very good, but the coley was phenomenal.
I highly recommend this restaurant as it is tasty and priced very well. We will return at some point! read more
