    What I asked for.

This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. Tip: if you do not specialize in acrylics just say that. Don't proceed to charge me $70 for a full set with gel polish and the nail shapes are all off and the polish has nothing but streaks. Also I showed a picture of an ombré nail and didn't get that....at all. Please, we are in a pandemic revenue streams are cut, don't do things that you don't have expertise in. This was such a waste of my money and time. Almost 4 hours for this.

Only part of the nail with 2 coats.

I'm giving it 3 stars because there is only one nail technician there who gives a good manicure that can last a week. Everyone else...chips after 2 days or they don't cover the whole nail and you're left with 2 different shades because one part has 2 coats and the other just one. Photos attached. Also, the brand of this polish was "China Glaze". Maybe that had something to do with it also. Stick with plain Essie.

I have done my gel nails at Heritage nails. I don't understand why someone reviewed bad and recommended to across the road to go the other nail salon. I got my beautiful nails from Heritage nails. They are very friendly and nice. I will keep coming and referencing to my friends.

Poor tiny too short, not square toenail. Bummer.

Heritage has unfortunately dropped off in quality from a year ago and back when it first opened. I went in for a pedicure with admittedly nails that were long (it was a tough winter) and this was the conversation: Her: You want me to cut them? Me: Yes, please. Her: Square? Me: Yes, please. The photo is what I got. My friggin nails are cut to the quick and my toe hurts! She did it all in one fell swoop so I couldn't even ask her to stop. I mean, whatever, they'll grow back, but damn. I have never had anyone doing a pedicure cut my nails this abnormally short and we clearly do not have the same understanding of "square". I'm fairly pissed that I wasted an hour of my life on this when there are plenty of other places to go. Argh. I will most definitely not be back. The length of the pedicure has also dropped off considerably. You used to get a nice scrub as well as a really nice leg and foot massage and now it's maaaybe 5 minutes long. One star for the unlimited caramel creams post pedicure.

Susan is the best technician I've had, but she's always busy because she's just that good.

I recently moved to northern libs from center city. The first few months I traveled into center city to get my nails done but yesterday I decided I was over it. I read a million reviews about a ton of places in walking distance and on a lark gave this salon a try (the fact that one of the comments said they had a cat sealed the deal). I honestly could not be happier!!! Everyone has had a bad manicure so I went in skeptical. I'm a creature of habit and I know my old salon is amazing but the ability to walk and not fight traffic was clutch. Anyway this place is phenomenal. They take their time, they are so nice, Lemon (the cat) is absolutely precious. My nails look stunning!! I've received so many compliments today!! I got the powder dip and seriously my nails are flawless. I could not be happier and I'm thrilled to have a new salon to become a regular

First, he seemed to be giving a more aggressive massage than usual making it difficult for tech to paint my nails. Then he was massaging my lower back and actually "massaged" my bottom. He has never done this before. It was gross. I tried to move and he moved his hand up. Also, the tech I had -I don't know her name- she is the youngest one -again did a gel manicure that chipped within 2 days. I thought it was a fluke the first time but now I know it is her. She also rushes as though there is another customer waiting when there isn't. I was hoping for a different tech that did a better job on another visit but no such luck. The positive is they use plastic liners for foot tub and give you a cold water bottle.

I have been putting this off for a while, but I'm sad to say that I won't be going back to Allure…read more I have always been a walk in because I never know if I'll feel well on a given day and have the energy to get my nails done. I probably should have made an appointment for my last few visits, because I somehow always get Coco and she's just not good. She did a dip mani on me a few weeks ago - my first - that was so lumpy and thick that the cuticle edges kept catching on my hair and clothes. When I finally went back to have it removed and get a regular gel manicure instead, she rushed through my pedicure (no spa, just regular). While she was using the callus file she was looking around the salon and not at my heels, which she was sanding down to nothing. Barely any massage. The gel manicure was also rushed. She was using a worn file to shred the thick layers of dip powder - which she'd applied a few weeks ago - until my nail plates felt sore. You can see how the polish was applied. No cleaning up of the skin around my nails and a gap between the polish and cuticle. I didn't love the color (it definitely looked different on the swatch nail) but I just wanted to leave at that point. I walked out feeling like I wasted $40 plus tip. And now my nails are SO THIN. I'm sad because I really like Alice, Lily, June, and the gentleman who does the massages. I've been going here forever. I just can't keep wasting money on bad manicures. I also miss when they'd use a fresh file and buffer on each client, but now they're obviously reusing the ones they have into the ground.
