This place is a FIND! I'm grateful it's available on hotels.com or I could have missed it. But it was slightly less expensive booking directly AND it was VERY NICE to have the different rooms explained to me by a live person before I picked a room. They have some 2 person jacuzzi tubs I would have gotten if available. That would be awesome. I agree with all the 5 star reviews. I've never seen a 4.9 star average anywhere and this place deserves it. I was in the smallest room on the 1st floor. I took a pic of one set of stairs. I travel with a lot of stuff to lug in by myself so I was thrilled with my little room with easy access. It was wonderful. The bed was great. It has 2 very big full pillows and 2 somewhat thinner pillows but I travel with my own pillows so I didn't test them. They look good unless you need very flat or soft pillows. If so bring your own old flat goose down like I do. (:-) I took a LOT of pictures of everything. Especially the breakfast foods. There is no hot breakfast. Just YUMMY stuff. Breakfast is in the lounge and all the rooms are well marked when you walk around. Nobody is onsite. Everything has codes to unlock. You receive a very helpful text with everything you need to know. Keep your phone with you when you leave the room in case someone locks a door that's usually unlocked and you can't remember the code. The LOUNGE is easily found as you wander. If I lived near here I would call this a great place for a ROMANTIC GETAWAY. They even have a wine bottle opener in the lounge. And of course a 2 person jacuzzi can be quite romantic although it would also have been therapeutic for my old bones and muscles all by myself! There are old fashioned touches like DVD players in the rooms and DVD movies to borrow in the lounge. There are also some games and nice game tables and chairs to play games in the lounge. Charming Stay at the Heritage Inn - Twice in One Week! We initially chose the Heritage Inn in Snowflake, AZ based on a Hotels.com search. It looked charming and was reasonably priced--and it more than lived up to our expectations. This is a delightful little inn where each room is uniquely decorated with its own color or theme. There is no on-site staff, but check-in is easy with a code provided, similar to many vacation rentals. Our rooms were tastefully decorated, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The guest lounge is modest but well-stocked with snack foods, which also serve as the continental breakfast. It's not fancy, but everything is high quality and thoughtfully presented. One great amenity is the Tesla destination charger. Just be sure to arrange in advance to have it turned on. During our first stay, I didn't ask ahead and couldn't find it, but the next morning the staff quickly responded and turned it on. On our return trip a week later, we booked again last minute. Even though the staff had gone home for the day, they still found someone to come back and activate the charger for us--outstanding customer service! We've now stayed in both the Red Roost and the Blue Denim rooms. Both are adorable, but we slightly preferred Blue Denim--it's downstairs, a bit roomier, and has a comfortable easy chair. The price difference is minimal and worth it, though we wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of the rooms. Conveniently located, the inn is right next door to Streets on Main, where we had a delicious meal. There's also a highly rated Mexican restaurant on the other side that we plan to try next time. I found Heritage Inn on Airbnb but decided to book direct for better rates. This cute little inn is perfect for nearby hiking and exploration! The nightly rate was very affordable and the room was very clean, has all the amenities you need, a fireplace, french doors that leads to open courtyard and a complimentary continental breakfast! We were able to have a good night's rest, a hot shower and fill up on coffee, pastries, eggs and fruits before we begin our day. We stayed in Room 4, the Violet Villa which came with a cozy queen bed in the Annex Building. There was a Tv, Blu Ray player (you can borrow movies from the guest lounge, also where breakfast is served), Keurig Machine, fridge, microwave, walk in shower and gas fireplace. The Heritage Inn was recently purchased by a couple from Washington, and now can be found online under Heritage Inn and also Kabino.com. The antiques in the rooms are gone, replaced by more modern, but still very comfy, furnishings. My feelings about this are twofold: The antiques were charming, but large. The new furniture makes the area roomier. My room was warmed by a thermostat controlled black iron fireplace. A walk-in shower replaced the claw-footed tub. The bathroom had plenty of towels. The windows had black pleated pulldown shades. There was no closet, but I couldn't remember the last time I hung anything up in a closet when I traveled, so no big deal. Eventually the large clunky room keys will be replaced with a keyless entry. Also in the future is the addition of a continental breakfast. Keep in mind that this is still an older building, so there is no elevator to rooms on the second floor. There are two restaurants within a block's walking distance, a Mexican one and a steak/sandwiches in the other direction. read more

RESET!! The new owners have taken over, 3 weeks ago, maybe mid-May 2022. The good stuff: the hostess- owner, Tina, is gracious and accomodating. She said to let her know if we were wanting for anything. Out room, #8, Jesse N. Smith, has 2 twin beds and an ADA-type walk in shower (which is why we chose this room). The beds were very comfy as were the nice linens. The bath is spacious, the shower is huge. We peeked in some of the other rooms and they looked gorgeous as well. There are 2 soft fluffy robes on the back of the bathroom door, so comfortable! There are several spots where you can enjoy breakfast outside, at least 3 that i saw. We loved the patio in back, right next to our room. Parking is convenient, either on the street on the north side or in the lot on the south side. Needs improvement: the website wasn't very user friendly for me, not uncommon with bed and breakfasts. I struggled to find a phone number so I could let them know of our late arrival. Forgivable was the state of the entry/ indoor dining room as you walk in. It was lined with boxes. Tina was right there to greet us and told us they just bought the place and are renovating. This goes back to the website where this should have been mentioned so we could set our expectations. Breakfast: is NOT being served yet (again, that should have been mentioned up front). On the other hand, Tina showed us lots of food we could use to create our own continental breakfast including yogurts, fresh fruit, muffins, instant oatmeal, granola bars, cookies and a microwave if needed. Bathroon amenities: just too much Victorian, i.e. a sink with litte space for more than a toothbrush and Toothpaste. There just are almost no flat surfaces or shelves unless you want to open the doors of the lovely cabinet to the side. There is just a small container in the shower, no shelves so nowhere to place your own shampoo etc. This could be remedied by suction cup shelves or similar. Overall, we would stay here again since Tina is working hard to make improvements. read more

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We got stuck in a rain/snow storm driving from stl to San Diego and this was our closest stop. They were so nice and showed us everything we had access to and to our room. We had our little dog and thankfully they allow dogs. They were so nice to him and said hello. We are so grateful they had an opening and we had the best stay. We were in the denim suite, and it was absolutely adorable. Our room was amazingly clean, with a microwave, Keurig, heating and ac, everything you could ask for. The shower has amazing pressure and they had super comfy robes. Also, everything is BRAND NEW! The owners are fantastic hosts and apparently love remodeling inns like this one. They thought of everything. It was perfectly decorated, had all the accommodations you could want, and it was spotless. It was a perfect stay and I recommend it to anyone!! read more

My Husband and I stayed here for one night. What a great, feel good, relaxing place! Everything was wonderful! The room we stayed in was the Lilac room( I believe that was it), it was on the bottom floor. It was so cute and cozy! The fireplace was nice to have in the room. The room was nicely decorated with nice little decorations, and bathroom toiletries. Just super cute! There are snacks, coffee, water, all kinds of nice snacks in a separate room, also there are games,DVD's, and I think a few books! It was quite, and the courtyard was really nice, and the porch out front is beautiful with all the rose bushes! We felt very safe here as well! Just a great place! There is a Mexican restaurant across the street( you can actually walk there, less than a minute). They are very friendly. And our food was delicious! It is called La Cocina de Eva. I gave this place a 3 because my boss hyped up the place like looking like a Hallmark Movie during Christmas with breakfast served inside. Well we didn't realize there were new owners, it did take me 3 days prior to pick the room because I was debating the tub or not. I had a pretty bad last 3 weeks so I booked the coffee cottage. Such a cute and cozy room. Everything you need (well I didn't see an iron and good thing I wore a sweater and jacket that didn't need ironing). After dinner I ran the water for the jacuzzi tub and had it all the way hot and noticed it was not coming out hot but warm. I walked away and figured it would heat up as it filled. I came back a few minutes late r and touched the water thinking I would definitely need to add cold water.. Nope it was just warm not hot at all. I got in and was told the tub did have heated Jets so i turned them on (it was not user friendly) and it made the water colder. So I was only able to stay in maybe 3 minutes cuz I was freezing. It had snowed earlier but nothing really stuck to ground. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and soft so I did sleep well. But unfortunately they do not have a hot breakfast, just continental items you can grab and take. Cute place, but definitely not Hallmark. There were Christmas lights on the house but they were not on. I guess I watch too much Hallmark and expected a traditional Bed and Breakfast. read more

Very quaint and beautiful little need and breakfast with very friendly people. We did not spend much time here but the little time we spent we enjoyed it walking by the garden or admiring the furniture and decor. My only complaint is that the room we got was not suited for a tall person. Breakfast was good, we opted for sharing an omelette and a German baby. We had never been to the Petrified Forest and decided to stay here with some friends. What a jewel of a place! You feel taken care of once you walk in the door. The proprietors Craig & Joanne are warm and welcoming and our rooms had everything you could possibly need. We stayed in the "Ira Hinkley" room. It was decorated beautifully and had a Jacuzzi tub which we loved. There was even bubble bath to enjoy. Since it is adjacent to the main dining room you would think it would be noisy but it has double doors which reduces the noise a lot. The only time it gets a little loud is in the morning so if you like to sleep in than bring some ear plugs but for early risers it shouldn't matter. Breakfast is awesome! They give you so much to eat and I highly suggest the "German Babies" they are delightful:) We hope to come back in the near future! read more

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of a quiet small town. We make a point to come here every summer and we have never been disappointed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with lush gardens and fountains and the rooms are quaint but so comfortable, with large beds and claw foot bathtubs! We left Heritage Inn this morning and I'm already trying to think of at time in our schedules when we can go back! Everything about our stay was perfect-- from the delicious hand-crafted breakfast, to the adorable and comfortable rooms, to the impeccable service. I particularly loved the Cerreta's candies left for us, the tea/coffee/cake/soda/popcorn station, the endless collection of DVDs, games, and puzzles, and the architecture and decor of the inn. I relaxed in a Jacuzzi bathtub, woke up to snow falling lightly out my window, and made new friends. It's the perfect spot for getaways, tours of Arizona, family reunions, and any special occasion. The rooms are super nice, filled with authentic antiques, wood floors, gas furnace heaters and tall cozy beds. The actual inn is very nice and homey. Craige and his wife run a great welcoming inn, he was very accomedating and attentive to all all our needs, even some we didn't think we needed. This is an exceptional B&B. It has classic English style gardens and patios surrounding a beautiful historic home. The hosts, Craig and JoAnne are warm and welcoming. The breakfasts are generous and delicious and cooked to order. The German Baby, served with butter, lemon and powdered sugar is exquisite. If you opt for an omelet instead you will find it served with hashbrowned potatoes, cooked crispy, served hot and not greasy. All dishes come with a side of fresh fruit, juice and coffee or tea. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The B&B is pet friendly, but call ahead, because animals are not allowed in the main house. We stayed here two nights,and will come again sometime. read more

The owners Craig and Joanne are wonderful, warm, fun, inviting people. The property is beautiful and romantic and the room we stayed in (Ira Hinkley ) was worth every penny and more! Plus breakfast was delicious! My wife and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. Craig and Joanne's hospitality started the day before we checked in when Craig caked me to see what time we'd be arriving. It was a small gesture, but it's the small things that make the difference. When we arrived, Craig meet us at the door, welcomed us and gave us a tour. His dry humor and willingness to serve us made us feel more like we were at our grandparents home instead of a stranger's residence. Our room was more then we expected. Small, but cozy with a gas stove in the corner and decorated well. The bathroom was amazing, due to the two person jacuzzi tub. You pick what time you want breakfast the night before 7:30-9. It was amazing. As far as i can tell, Joanne does the cooking and she's a great cook. Get the house special, so good! Overall a great experience, in a quiet, small town away from the business of the city. I highly recommend this place! And we're already looking at our calendar to plan our next trip back. read more

Pioneer days in Snowflake is the textbook deffiniton of what made our country great and what holds is together. The Heritage Inn sits in the middle of Snowflake as a visual poster of of our heritage and yet you meet people there who are our future. We had a wonderful time. The rooms, at least ours, are quiet, clean and wonderfuly appointed. Quaint yet equipped with fast (and reliable) internet. Loved the clawfoot tub and that gentle shower (it didn't beat you but it was like a heavy rain). The bed was perfect, not mushy and not hard as a rock - really nice. Breakfast features all the usual things for breakfast but there are also those "German Babies". You might not think butter, lemon and powdered sugar go together but you would be wrong. It just might be worth staying at the Inn for those things. And for me - the coffee was great. Craige and Joanne must be mentioned because they are "Inn keepers" as opposed to just owners of a bed and breakfast. They make you welcome, have a sense of humour and take you into the family. I am sitting at a table outside with my coffee and my laptop working on my business blog and all I can really do is go on and on about the Heritage inn. Do yourself and your over technicalized family a big favor next year around July 24- 26 and book a room at the Heritage Inn (book very early as they fill up) so you can exeperience Pioneer Days in Snowflake, az. My wife and I spent our 17th wedding anniversary there this past weekend and it was everything we were hoping for and more. The owners were very accommodating and made us feel at home there. Our room was very clean and my wife loved all the antique furnishings including the vintage claw foot tub. I highly recommend the German babies for breakfast. We stayed with them on Thursday June 18th. The whole experience was very warming to say the least. Craig and Joanne were the best hosts you could ask for . My cousins from California has stayed there a couple of years ago and said they really enjoyed the stay even though she was here on business. . Craig made sure there was always ice and pastries out during the afternoon hours and morning. Yes the Bouncing Bettie's were a real treat for breakfast. My boyfriend and I stayed at Heritage the end of January and we both enjoyed it! The weather was not in our favor as it rained all weekend, but it was still a great trip. We explored Lakeside/Pinetop and then enjoyed the warm fire in the room and watching movies from the large selection available. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the great hospitality. We would like to visit again when the weather is a little nicer to enjoy some outdoor activities. Definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway! read more
