I was specifically super excited to try their seasonal matcha special, which was made with horchata (also from Salud!) and strawberries, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, we walked in only to find they were out of the supplies needed to make the drink. :( I was caught off guard and didn't know what to order, but the barista recommended a latte with maple flavor so I went with that. The interior was clean and spacious and had a relaxed and calm but energetic feeling to it. Good place to hang out or work quietly. There's a self-service area to spruce up or fix your drink or grab lids or stir sticks. Service was nice and my drink came out quickly. It was pretty good but not really the "right" drink for me. I like my stuff on the sweet side and this was much more balanced and coffee-forward. That said, it held its own against my sugar-craving taste buds and I drank most of it, which is usually the hallmark of good brew, lol. I don't really blame them because I blanked on what to order and just went with what was suggested. It's probably a great suggestion for lots of other folks! Would be happy to come back and try a different beverage. Seems like a nice place overall. :)

I came with fellow Yelp Elite Wendy J. one morning before we had work. It was everything I thought it would be and more! Since we met up pretty early, I was hoping to see some baked goods I cold get for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to see not only baked goods but also Ladybird Tacos being sold here! I LOVE Ladybird Tacos! I could eat them every day! Something about those tortillas are just so perfect! It's also hard to choose just one taco, but when I saw tenderbelly bacon as a choice, the #1 is what I got! Tenderbelly bacon, egg, and cheese! They also have some of the best dipping sauces! It was delicious! To drink, I had an iced strawberry matcha latte. It was delicious as expected. After seeing me get food, Wendy got a bacon cheddar biscuit, and some sort of sweet baked good she left me try. They were both delicious with the bacon cheddar biscuit being even better than it sounded! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great for any occasion! I had a great time checking them out!

The location appeared to be in a strange place for a coffee shop. It's in the middle of what appears to be an industrial park. However, there were lots of people inside when we arrived on Saturday morning about 9:30. There is an outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas for anyone that loves the steamy southern heat. Inside, the huge windows provide an abundance of natural light, which I love. As someone who also loves photography, it provides some great lighting and reflections. The menu is on the short side, but they do have a variety of options of drinks, along with a few select pastries. I opted for the basic drip coffee, which had great flavor and was smooth, like I like it. My son got the latte and enjoyed it as well. When Ethan brought our order to the table, I was surprised to see the drinks in actual mugs, rather than disposable cups. They were also smaller mugs, which was disappointing. However, Ethan turned my disappointment into surprise and delight when he said we had free refills! I don't know if this is their usual rule or he offered free refills due to the brief delay in getting our order. The crowd was mixed on this Saturday morning. I saw young individuals studying, a young family with their baby, an older couple enjoying conversation, and everything in between. The restrooms are down a hallway in back. They're very nice and clean. Ethan told me that they share the restrooms with four other businesses in the building. I love the open space , the lighting, the friendly staff and the delicious coffee here. I definitely want to come back at nighttime and see what it looks like with the indoor lighting!

Using it as a work spot, it's perfect--quiet enough to focus, but still has a nice energy to it. Also, the music they play is spot-on--relaxing and chill, but never distracting. It really helps set the tone for the space. Overall, Maple Avenue Coffee House is the combination of great people, great vibes, and great coffee. This was the first location of Baba Java and has since expanded through the city. Ran my Omani entrepreneurs, this little coffee shop became quite popular over the years. The staff working here are mostly teenagers or college students, who are very attentive and professional despite their young age. The owner clearly picked out incredible folks to be here who make Baba Java feel both welcoming and well kept. The interior of the space is fairly basic coffee shop design, but admittedly, a little bit dated in 2026 and lacks the unique vibe of some other independent coffee shops. Window views facing the strip mall parking lot don't create much of an ambiance either. With that said, design is not the main thing to come here for. The coffee is excellent and priced very reasonably, offering a great value for an establishment of this sort. There is easy to access WiFi and an overall feeling of being welcomed. A solid little coffee shop that allows customers to support some local business owners instead of a big chain.

Unfortunately my go to order is an iced latte with skim milk and they don't have skim. I was hoping to get a little treat to go with my coffee but they were all piled on top of each other in the display case which made them look really unappealing. I am not talking croissants on croissants or muffins on muffins, I mean everything on top of each other which also makes me feel like options for people with allergies may be limited. The staff were really kind and the barista suggested 2% or almond milk as alternative options for me which was very kind but just not my favorite. The interior and outdoor seating are very cute. They have mini prints and larger prints for sale. I really think the larger prints would make a great locally made present!
