Jake did a great job repairing a low brick wall that some teens had decided it would be fun to jump their bikes from. The damage is hardly noticeable. He also repaired an automatic sprinkler valve. I would recommend him for any job. read more

Jake was on time to check out the job, as well as each time work was done. Several tiles came up from kitchen floor. Each tile had to be carefully removed as well as old grout before reinstalling tiles. I was very happy with the finished result. read more

I requested an estimate from Jake to fix my bathroom - it was a small job but it was handled promptly, efficiently, and professionally. I especially appreciated that Jake really took time to listen to what I needed and did only as much work as I requested, with my budget concerns and timeline in mind. The work took only a few days and now my bathroom is good-as-new. I really appreciated that I was always talking to and dealing with the same person the whole time, throughout the whole job. The initial estimate and the final walkthrough were all done by Jake and that was a huge plus. read more

Do you need a reliable, trustworthy, and professional handyman? Then Matthew is the guy you are looking for. I contacted Matthew because of his excellent reviews, and i dont regret a bit. Once i requested 10 different handyman services all over yelp, Matt was the first one to respond. Like within 1 hour? All others were busy i guess. We booked the appt for same day and Matt came over to give me some estimates and got me some good prices overall. He came back the next day to start the job by noon, and completed the job in less than 2 hours. His work seems very professional and neat. Overall im satisfied with his effort to complete the task on time and professionally. You can pay someone cheap to get a cheap job done, but Matt will stand by his work. Thanks Matt, and hope to have my custom cabinet done soon... once im ready, i will make an appt. read more

I contacted Jake on February 8 to see if he could help me. I'm looking for someone to do a few things around the house and depending on the work was hoping to use them for a future for rentals. I called him and the voicemail clearly stated that I could leave a message or text him. I decided to text him. I could see that he read the message and he never replied. I thought maybe he was just busy and could not get back to me in time so I gave him some time. It's been two weeks and I think that's plenty of time to say that he did not care to return the call. read more

I highly recomend Jake - This is an honest, dependable, friendly, polite and reasonably priced, flexible guy. In today's world, it is refreshing to see a young guy busting ass to make a honest dollar. We trust him so much, we have had him at our house many times without us being there with no worries at all. This posting is long overdue, so my appologies.. Jake (and sometimes an assistant, equally polite and friendly) have done many things at our house over the past year including; Installing ceiling fans in all rooms, bathroom attic fans, plumbing, closet doors, dog door in wall (first time for him), modified a wall to accomdate a large refrigerator, water line for ice maker, kitchen shelving, recessed lighting dimmer switches ad many other smaller tasks. Kuods to him for coming to our assitance a few times in an emergency situation when a valve on the main water line was frozen (no water) and an electrical event where we had no power. We were so thankful for his knowledge and prompt responses. Hire him, you won't be sorry. read more

I had several small jobs for Jake to do. He was friendly and highly reliable. His work was outstanding. Everything was repaired so well that all appeared like new. Jake saved us. Totally and completely. When we bought our house, the seller's painted over some antique doors, windows, and trim, before we took possession. Pretty ridiculous, and it created a ton of stress and headaches for us. After talking to well over a dozen contractors, handymen, painters, cabinetmakers, window/door guys who had no interest in the project, Jake said he could do it, and make it all look great. On top of that, his estimate was very reasonable. I was skeptical, it just seemed like too big of a job. When Jake first showed up to start working, he'd ordered doors that weren't the right size, and didn't match the pattern of the house. When I pointed it out, Jake didn't argue with me. He said, "You're right, that's on me." Mistakes happen, no big deal. He returned the doors and ordered new ones, and came back a couple weeks later to start the project. The new doors were more expensive, and he ate some of that cost for the inconvenience, which seemed very reasonable of him. Jake and one helper spent about 4 days doing the work, and while I was still skeptical the whole way through, but by the time he left, the result was great. I'm not going to say "perfect," because I think homeowners always see little things others might not. And it'll never be back to the antique wood it should've been. But I could have easily paid 3x as much to a huge contracting company, and I don't think I'd have any better result. What impressed me most is that this isn't a new house. There are some quirks; walls and floors aren't straight, etc., and Jake had to figure out how to get new windows, doors, and trim, to fit into old house. He did a great job. As for people complaining about timeliness or phone calls: Sure, there were a couple of scheduling issues. If you think you can find a handyman or contractor who DOESN'T have scheduling issues, good luck... That's just how this business seems to work. read more

Jake is great! We asked him to clean and repair our rain gutters, and to repair a leaning fence post. He provided a quote for each job, as opposed to an hourly rate, which we really appreciated. In the process of selling our home, a home inspection revealed some dry rot beneath the flooring that need to be replaced. In addition, some bracing was suggested to ensure the structural integrity of the floor. Mr. Norcutt performed a job that was top notch. He removed 100% of the weak wood and replaced it with fresh wood that was sistered into the joists to maintain the necessary support. He showed a great deal of quality craftsmanship. Furthermore, he was right on time and ready to go first thing in the morning on the day of the job, unlike (unfortunately) some other people who have done jobs for me over the years. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and his professional demeanor. read more

Very nice guy. Does lack some when it comes to the quality and timeliness. But trustworthy and pleasant

Jake is honest and knowledgeable. I have used him multiple times. I know that the job will be taken care of without me being home to keep an eye on what's going on. He wants to do it right and at a fair price. Jake always attempts the minimum to fix an issue vs just going for the big overhaul fix. He responds quickly and is always friendly. Customer service is the first priority. My go to when I need help. read more

I hired Jake and his assistant to patch up holes in the walls, remove television mounts, repaint, and repair areas of my old townhouse. Jake's associate performed the work and did a fantastic job. Seriously, Jake is awesome! He's prompt, answers all your questions, and is very straightforward in telling you if he can do a job and what it'll take to get it done. I've called on Jake multiple times now for numerous jobs around my house, and EVERY time, Jake has always come through with great professionalism and honesty. He doesn't try to sell you other jobs, and just gives you an honest opinion on the things that need to be done. I just most recently had him install an A.C. unit through the wall and he did an awesome job. Everything looks nice, neat, and straight. He even came back to follow up with the job because unfortunately on my end, the A.C. I ordered online had to be replaced due to it not working, but Jake still followed through and finished the job at no extra expense! Thank you so much Jake! read more

Showed up on time to install a hand gun safe. Took one hour for the installation. Was charged 200 dollars for one hour work, which I think is too much. My father needed a poolside deck repaired. After countless estimates from claimed "professionals" my father and I were totally discouraged from contractors/biz people because of their lack of knowledge, understanding our needs, to wanting us to go beyond our needs/budget. Not to mention the lack of communication due to language barriers. Jake provided an estimate and my father hired him. Not only did he complete the job early, he was professional, on time, thorough, he finished the job in 1/2 the estimated time. Hire Jake if you want a responsible, trustworthy honest man. read more

A large glass door on my bearded dragon's cage fell to the floor (but surprisingly didn't break) because the railing broke. I had no idea how to fix it without replacing the custom made railing. I contacted Jake through a posting on Nextdoor Brea (an online community site) and he was able to come over a couple of days later to look at it. He came up with a great way to fix the railing without having to make a new one. He had all the tools and supplies on his truck to complete the repair in less than an hour. I was very impressed with his punctuality and professionalism, and especially in his creativity to find a solution to a problem that didn't have an obvious answer. I highly recommend Jake's services. read more
