I have more appointments with Dr. Jaramillo than with other past doctors (a few times a year instead of once), and while I don't prefer to spend my time sitting in waiting rooms, it just proves her genuine concern for my wellbeing. Dr. Jaramillo never seems to turn away a walk-in, but try to make an appointment if you can. The weekday evening and the Saturday hours are very convenient for those with a 9-5 job. Note that her office is now located at Division and Rockwell, not on Western. There is a parking lot behind the building (through the alley off of Rockwell) if you want to drive.

I've seen Dr. Jaramillo twice so far, and I've been very pleased with my experiences. I'd also have to reschedule for another day even though they were allowing walk-ins. What's more, I was frustrated that I would still not be guaranteed a visit with the actual Dr. on my billing and listed with my insurance - the person I actually made the appointments to see. I stopped seeing my former PCP because I'm working from home instead of downtown now, but I'll just make the trip. My biggest concern was the prescribing of strong narcotic medications without what I felt was adequate follow-up or communication. Appointments often seemed to consist of reviewing notes and issuing prescriptions without taking the time to ask meaningful questions about my mother's condition, symptoms, or how the medications were affecting her. Some of the medications prescribed also appeared to conflict with other medications she was taking, and we became increasingly concerned about the impact this was having on her physical and mental well-being. We eventually found a new physician who takes the time to actually speak with my mother, listens to her concerns, and carefully reviews her medications. Several of the prescriptions previously prescribed by Dr. Jaimes have since been discontinued. I understand that every patient's experience is different, but based on what we experienced with my mother's care, I would not recommend this physician.
