Let me just say, Every time I come here I have a wonderful experience. My mother-in-law from California came here on her last day in town. She is a world class traveler and has been to spas around the world, and she was impressed by the experience here she received. You truly get pampered. I always feel like I get my money's worth. I have paid double the amount for the same service elsewhere and it lasted 1/4 of the time they spend on you here at Herbal Nails. Jenny did my work you see posted here. She is so sweet and kind. She checks on you to see if you are enjoying your experience and she quietly does her work so you can relax which is a plus for me. The pedicure and manicure look divine. They have tons of colors to choose from. I recommended the full treatment pedicure. My gel manicure lasts and I wash my hands fifty times a day! You won't regret coming here. I have read other negative reviews and just understand that people aren't machines. There is room for error. I was told it would be a 20 minute maximum wait and ended up waiting 50 minutes for a pedicure. I was getting ready to leave when they said it would only be another 5 minutes, then I asked for a deluxe gel pedicure, and received a rushed standard gel pedicure, no paraffin wax or warm towels, feet only scrubbed for maybe 1 minute total, had to go home and finish the job myself. Renovations inside looked great, but I'll never be going back to the Herbal Nail Spa, luckily there are no shortages of nail salons in Harford county, and just a minute away is Happy Nails & Spa, which id definitely recommend over the Herbal Nail Spa. read more

One person started my pedicure, in the middle of clipping my nails, one of her regulars came in. The nail tech stopped my pedicure, yelled hello to the woman who'd just walked through the door, apologized to me and told me someone else would come do my pedicure instead. The other woman told her that it was ok if she was working on someone else but the tech told her it was fine and ushered her to a chair. After several minutes of confusion and shuffling, another woman took over my pedicure- I believe her name was Anna. She was a bit rougher and a co-worker ended up pulling over a seat and gossiping with her for the entirety of the service. A bit disappointed in the experience PLUS my top coat is uneven. This is my second visit to the salon; my first experience was pretty average but after this visit, I doubt I will return. read more

Long story short- my scheduled nail appointment did not pan out with another salon for reasons beyond anyone's control. I showed up to Herbal desperate on Friday morning for a walk-in full set for a Saturday wedding that I am in. Michael was able to see me right away. I showed him a picture from Google and he was conscientious to copy the exact design but worked with me to find the base color I wanted. He didn't railroad the design and just go nuts- he followed the photo. Michael did suggest glitter instead of a pale yellow as accent and I'm SO glad that he did. My nails turned out better than I could have hoped. The cost was on par for what I'd expect to pay and the salon was clean and had relaxing instrumental music playing. I will absolutely be back. Included is the photo I showed him and then what my nails looked like. Double points because I had just gotten a spray tan and asked him not to use lotions or oils on my skin and he didn't need to be reminded (that's why my skin looks so wonky). I just went to this nail salon with my friend. We were both walk ins and they accepted right away, there was no wait. I sat down with my technician after I had chosen my color. I was getting acrylics and asked for a longer square shape the technician said ok and began to do my nails. The technician was extremely aggressive when doing my nails and even made one of my nails bleed. I will show pictures of what my nails were supposed to look like and what I received. This was the sloppiest manicure I've ever gotten. The technician seemed incredibly rushed and careless. The polish is uneven, there is polish all over my skin and cuticles, obvious lines of different coats, and some nails still rigid on the ends. I got a dip powder manicure, however I did not get any of typical manicure things that are done; i.e. soaking fingers to soften cuticles, trim cuticles, lotion & hand massage. Best nail place ever! The ladies and one gentleman here are just dynamite! It's a small family that owns this shop and they put their heart and soul in it. I've been looking all my life to find someone like Traci to do my nails. She takes her time and does what is requested. Appointments are easy to get with her too. She does a wonderful job on my nails and treats them like they're hers. She loves what she does too. The pedicures here are heaven on earth. I always get the fancy schmancy one (only because I'm on my feet all day). It is so relaxing and my feet stay nice for awhile. Th atmosphere is also desirable. Tracy was my nail technician and I am IN LOVE with my nails! I hadn't gotten my nails done in years due to several bad experiences at other nail boutiques, but after a friend suggested Herbal Nails, I decided to give them a try. The area is clean, well decorated, and all of the employees were welcoming and friendly. Tracy is a doll and was incredibly awesome to work with. I have had acrylic nails for over 6 years and have NEVER had such an awful job done. The woman who gave me a pedicure and a fill (Angel) was terrible. I asked her not to cut down my toenails but just to file them, but 5 minutes later she begins clipping them. Then I showed her a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like. I wanted the same shape and color. However, I left with shorter nails than I've ever had, all at different lengths, square shaped instead of the rounded ovals I wanted and a completely different color than asked for. $98 later and I was out the door. I went here today with my friend. we were both walk in's and were taken care of promptly. although it was fast service, the time spent getting my nails done with the opposite. the technician rushed me to pick out my color and would not leave my side until i picked a color and felt very pressured to hurry. once i picked a color we sat down and she started my nails. i asked for my nails to be squared shaped and instead i got a half oval/half square nail that i am not a fan of. also, i did not pick out a gel color but when the technician was doing my nails, i could tell she was using a gel color and asked her and she told me that she wasn't. once everything was done i went to go pay. i went up to the front desk and the front desk lady was VERY rude. she rolled her eyes at everything that i said and then went on to charge me for the gel polish that i was told i was not getting. the front desk lady was also very rude to the other technicians. not pleased at all and i will not be returning. read more
