That was the most unpleasant thing that's happened to me today and I went to the DMV this morning. I went to the office at 6250 E Yale Ave. It was hard to find and there was almost no signage. But I did make it there. The gentleman at the front was very pleasant and put me at ease immediately. He was chatty and laughing. Seems like a good guy. He should work for a better place. I filled out my forms and the doctor came out and took me back to her office. She didn't introduce herself or shake my hand or act good natured in a any manner. I sat down in her office and she asked my what my qualifying medical condition was. Not being extremely versed in medical marijuana law, I just began to tell her what my medical conditions were, figuring she would know which ones qualify. This is for a renewal, so obviously one of them qualifies, but I was unsure which one. I got all of maybe three words out before she snapped, "No, No, No." I tried to continue my sentence, but she cut me off again to chastise me for... not giving the right answer, I guess. And let it be known that what I first mentioned, just barely, for her cutting me off is that I have severe anxiety connected to my Bipolar Disorder. And when I said that and she started snapping at me, my eyes welled up. You know, because I have severe anxiety connected to my Bipolar Disorder. And she said the most unhelpful words in the history of words, "Don't cry." There wasn't quite an exclamation point on that but it was definitely not friendly and comforting. And never in all of time and space has anyone heard the words, "Don't cry," and perked up and said, "Okay, Thanks. I won't. Good advice." When I decided to live my life and be part of society, I knew my anxiety would give me trouble, so I gave myself permission to leave places and situations that upset me. And that's what I did. Okay, I didn't leave so much as run away. If she's snarking, "Don't cry" at me when my eyes welled up, who knew how she would react if I actually did cry and I was about to, so I ran away. I suggest you do the same. Run away. Don't go anywhere near this place. This is the type of doctor that is the reason so many people won't go see them. read more

After a hick up I was able to see the doctor who was professional and caring. After a detailed oral history the doctor was able to access my needs and she adjusted my plant count appropriately. Overall I like this place, Channing who mans the front desk is always pleasant and efficient. read more

Beware of this business. I went there to get my red card renewed for a couple of years without any problems whatsoever, which is why I kept returning. However, this morning turned out to be a different experience. The front desk receptionist, Channing is a true professional and a genuinely nice guy. I enjoyed our conversation and the appointment got off to a great start. However, unlike my previous visits, I was greeted by a different Doctor this time around, a woman by the name of Dr. Yin, a small Asian-American woman (which I only mention for the purposes of identification). From the very beginning Dr. Yin had a very condescending and unprofessional attitude that made me feel very disrespected and uncomfortable. She would ask routine questions about my health, and then right as I was attempting to answer her, she began to get angry and accused me of not "answering correctly" and "talking over her". It's like, woah, I'm just a boring guy that suffers from intense lower back pain in need of some relief, in no way was I looking for drama or confrontation of any kind. If you google this same Herbal Health Systems location, you will see several other reviews in which patients make similar claims about the startlingly unprofessional way in which Dr. Yin conducts herself. Never before in my 34 years have I ever encountered such disrespect and coldness in a professional medical setting. There are dozens upon dozens of other locations to get your red card/renewal in Colorado. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place at all costs!!! read more

The doctor made rather bizarre and unfounded generalizations about my medical history and suggested something about conditions (that I have had for over a decade and endured countless medical tests) that literally NO DOCTOR HAS EVER SAID BEFORE. The doctor also did not bother to look at my medical records that I had brought with me. The front desk was super helpful and nice so not an entirely bad experience, but would not recommend. read more

she was nice and not overly paranoid like the doc's out in CA. maybe her already reasonable price of sixty dollar has come down in price? Hope she's still around. I didn't wait that long at all, I don't understand impatient heads, maybe you need to chill before running your errands, one star? Janet was an exceptional doctor who doesn't rush patients, I would be skeptical of doctors that have a revolving door. Her office staff were nice and professional folks as well. Very easy the gentlemen greeted me when I walked in the door, filled out a few sheets of paper containing my info and a little bit about my health history...saw the doctor within 10 minutes was in and out quick and it was only $60 bucks when everyone else was quoting me 2x that. The doctor lady was very nice she gave me two referrals for my neck spasms. My first experience going to a mmj doctor was very pleasent and painless. Thanks guys! read more

Been going here for 3 years straight & love this place, yes 1 star waited because they didn't make an appointment, idoit, I have never waited because I arrive 5 mins before my appointment to fill out the paper work (just like at every other doctor office) & am seen right at my appointment time. If only my general physican could be this timely. The same nice man has been the notary for the 3 years I have been going here & he gets you in & out for a low price of $60 on top of explaining stuff to you. They are legitimate doctor office, dr Schmidt good doctor (yes eccentric but still good doctor some what refreshing in this day of the money making weed docs) though dr Schmidt is no longer there. New doctor is just as good but more professional with good health advice on top of the for the main reason why you are there. Plus this doctor does not do what most other doctors do which is push a particular dispensary (which is illegal for a dispensary & doctor to be tied) I high recommend herbal health. read more
