So after meeting some fellow patients and doing that thing where we all show off the best medicine we can find, I was embarassed by a friend. It happened something like this: "Check out this Platinum Kush from the place near my house." I pull out a bag of gorgeous bud from an elite dispensary. "Nice. Check out THIS Bubba Kush from Southwest." He pulls out a bag of equally fantastic herb from Southwest. "I got this for $200 a zip, tax included" He smiles, knowing about what I paid for mine. "Fuck..." I feel ripped off after spending $300 PLUS tax ($320ish). I daydream about how many great tacos I could buy in my neck of East Colfax with a hunded twenty fucking dollars. ******** Southwest is an EXCELLENT dispensary! This is the best marijuana for the price in town, without question. For members, $200 ounces all day, and very good sale ounces too. For $25 an eighth (ounce price) the golden goat, ghost train haze and bubba kush are probably the best bags you can buy in Denver for the money. The quality of those strains is usually on par with what the Clinic or Mile High Green Cross offer, but at almost half the price. I recently purchased an ounce of beautiful banana kush here on sale for $175, and it was only on sale because they needed to make room for the new harvest, not because bud quality was bad. The location is on Mississippi between Broadway and Federal, so it's a bit of a troop. And the lobby isn't very nice, neither are the ammenities. But I don't care because I'm not a yuppy deuchbag who needs to wait in a leather recliner with complimentary Fiji water to buy meh-quality bud for $45 an eighth. Fuck that. Hands down my favorite dispensary in the city. In fact, I haven't bothered going to another since I found Southwest. read more

I love southwest alternative care, it is a real interactive caring wellness center. Unlike some that communicate with you through a one inch glass, you can actually pick up different medicines and exam them. Care takers at southwest are very knowledgable and take the tine to listen to your needs and explain Wich medicines you be good for each individuals needs and concerns, o yeah you can't forget the awesome medicine they carry at reasonable prices other then some were they have one price across the board. I just recently trimmed bud for southwest alternative care about 2 weeks ago. I am constantly searching for the next best, most potent marijuana. I have finally found that dispensary. I have never trimmed buds that were bulky and beautiful. I fell in love just trimming. 4 days later I come in and purchase a half 0z of some of the most beautiful potent mob boss I've seen in a long time. Awesome pricing(you get a Lotta bang for buck in my opinion). Whatever your grower is doing, keep it up your doing a wonderful job on taking good care of your patients. Ive refered everyone that i know who smokes to southwest. Southwest provides top quality flower for smoking needs. Everytime i walk in the shop i walk out with the biggest smile. You will not be dissapointed. Compared to most medicinal shops the prices are beyond reasonable especially if you become a memeber. Let me start out by saying that Southwest Alternative care is no where close to my house and I pass tons of dispensaries before I get to SW, but the quality of the available medication at SW for medical patients is second to none. They also always have some kind of special going on thats gives back to the patients wallet they have not sold out us medical patients for money!! Sr.Ken, I am a man that is in his early 70 and the whole medical medication side is something at sometimes a bit confusing but the employees at southwest alternative care are very knowledgeable and helped me a great deal with understanding the ins and outs of medical medication. My visit to Kaya today went as usual. I always have an issue with my debit card. Everyone is always very helpful. Today, Will was the lucky one to wait on me. Unsurprisingly, my card was declined. I couldn't understand s stand why...until just now at home. I made a withdrawal earlier, and completely forgot! Through it all, we end up laughing, and I did not leave empty handed! Will made it ok!. What can i say about southwest except the best medicine, member deals, and great staff. Found out about this place in 2010 and have always been back. Member benefits are some of the best in town. And the Colfax store has more specials so if your trying to save a couple bucks i would recommend that one. If not, the one on Fox street is a lot closer if your come from the south. Everything that I have purchased from there I have been more than satisfied with. All of the workers that have been there when I go so far have been really friendly and helpful when I had any questions or asked them for suggestions. This is easily the best dispensary in the Denver area. Friendly, helpful staff. They always greet you with a smile and treat you like you matter. But what really counts is the meds. Southwest Alternative Care has it all, quality, quantity, low prices, and great parking. It's in an ugly yellow building but once inside, you'll see a row of pretty jars in front of you. SWAC has a nice array of edibles, tinctures, and sodas. One of the things I like is that they review all medicine under a USB microscope before putting it on the shelf. Best yet?
