I got my nails done last Thursday before my trip to California. The techs who did my nails were very nice and clean. But my nails barely lasted a week and they were shellac. They started peeling and lifting from the bottoms and sides while I was on my trip this recent Thursday. I wash my hands frequently and kept them moisturized as best as I could but the color just lifted right off. read more

Got my nails done for my birthday. Annie did a great job on my pedicure. Vicky did a phenomenal job on my full set manicure - she really took her time to make sure that I liked the outcome, her attention to detail was top tier. She was able to fix any flaws I saw before I even pointed it out. And conversation with her came naturally. Gave this establishment 2 tries. The first time was okay, manicurist acted like she was new. Seemed like she wasn't quite sure what tools to use for what process, but overall she was okay and did a good job. I had already cleaned off my polish, cut and filed my toenails and my nails. All she had to do was clean up my cuticles, push them back, massage my legs and paint my nails. The guy giving the massage kept winking at me and looking down my shirt. 2nd time - I called and made an appointment and specifically asked for the manicurist from the first time. I get there and they have assigned me to someone else. Horrible! The whole time I am there she and the manicurist were talking - they are not speaking English and looking up at me and giggling. I know enough to understand they are making rude remarks about me - the customer. The water was less than lukewarm - almost cold. The nail files are flimsy and made of paper. Gave the manicurist my personal tools to use. Never trimmed my cuticles on toes or fingers, but did start cutting my toenails using the cuticle clippers. Actually cut my big toe while in the process. I told her to stop. Worse manicure and pedicure I have ever had and will not go back to this establishment. My nail tech, Kelly just moved to this shop. Where she goes, I go - so right off, I can tell you my nail service was off the chain. I got a pedi too and I really liked the deluxe service - hot stones, wax and extra 10 minute massage make Mama a happy camper! The salon itself is a little dated, but I was told they will be moving to another spot in the same strip complex in a bit, so I'm looking forward to seeing an updated space. I'm absolutely obsessed with this place. I've gotten acrylics done in many different locations and Karen gave me by far the best full set I've ever had. The shape and color is exactly what I asked for. She made sure to make it perfect and was soooo sweet to me throughout the whole process. I love this place!! I came here since the place I normally go was busy and I was on my lunch break. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I was a bit sketchy but came in anyway. The location is convenient and it's nicely decorated, lots of windows and natural light. I only wanted a pedicure since I was in a hurry so I got Joanne. She was done so quickly, less than 30 minutes, that it did not seem like I should have paid the full $25. Then she didn't use the toe separators so when she told me to get up and walk across the room to the table to dry, they were messed up. Someone else fixed them and the manager gave me a $10 gift card to return. I probably will but will make sure I don't get Speedy Gonzalez as my tech! read more

I purchased a groupon and came on the last day that it was valid. There was only one other person in there. I forgot my nail tech's name, but she was friendly and meticulous. I didn't come in with a set design in mind because my nails were short. I just wanted a simple color. My nail tech took her time and made sure to cut my cuticles slightly, but neatly. She listened to how I wanted my nails shaped and done. My nails were slightly crooked and uneven when she finished, but it wasn't very noticeable unless you looked really closely. I absolutely love the color! It came out very neutral and natural. It was very simple, but my nail tech did take a while to get everything done. I was there for about an hour and a half. I wouldn't mind coming back here if I was in the area and wanted something simple done. 2 weeks later: My nails are still intact and the color is still beautiful~ The sides are chipping a bit, but other than that everything remained exactly the same as when I just got it done. read more

One time use only. It also says they are moving to a bigger space. Start from April 1 through April 15. I had not been to this place in months and months. Saw the coupon and decided to try it out again, the coupon was rejected. Nowhere on there does it state when the coupon is valid and when it expires. The dates on there make it seem like they are moving between those dates. So not only is this going towards my review, but the dip was not filed down to one smooth shape either. I came back with hope, and my faith has been restored!! My pedicure tech, Leann was great. My biggest pet peeve is not being able to get all the cuticles and having my nails cut from both ends and she did it for me without having to ask. Super thorough and attentive on each detail. I was there 3 days ago and I saw the girl named Rebecca who gave 1 star below. I've been going to this nail salon frequently enough to know how good Trish is, and that situation was pissing me off. Though Trish and Michelle tried to explain to her about her nails' structure and how thin her skin is, she asked to do her nails on her own which was ridiculous. The princess chairs were a great touch but mostly the kindness and patience of every employee as my daughter got used to the process was amazing. They even took pictures of her on my phone for me while I was getting my own nails done. She really enjoyed her first experience and we can't wait to go back. Came here for the first time today and was very pleased! As soon as I walked through the door the staff was attentive and friendly. There wasn't many people there at the time so I was seated immediately and given a drink. I had Mia as my nail tech and she did a great job. She was patient, paid attention to detail and very nice! My nails came out clean and very pretty! I've had bad luck with many nail salons in the Sugar Land area but this place is amazing. The price was also decent, $30 for Shelac French Tips. I was hooked the first day I walked in the door a year ago. Michelle and her awesome crew are warm and inviting. They are knowledgeable about the latest techniques of Nail Care. What lead me to this place was an offer from Groupon for a shellac manicure. It was a little bit hidden away but not too bad, and the sign on building only said "Nails" and not the name of the business. The inside of the place was impeccable! Very clean and very welcoming! The manager (I think her name was Michelle) was the best greeter and she made sure that I was taken care of before, during, and after my nails were done. This place is close to my house and I had a first good experience. Today I spent about 1.5 hrs taking powder off and getting a basic manicure with some waiting in between. Michelle took my nail powder off. She is very nice but a little busy helping other customers and supervising staff. I got a regular manicure since I wanted to take a break from shellac/powder. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The young lady who did my nails was not detail oriented and rushed. She painted two layers super fast. As she was about to put the top coat on, I stopped and let her know that I could see some white and uneven spaces. She didn't even realize it because she didn't look closely. She tried to fix it by adding another layer with a thicker pink color. My nails were still unevenly colored with some lines and spaces. Then she told me it's because I just took the powder off (?) She did ask me if I wanted to start all over at this time but it's already been 1.5 hours and I had to leave. I guess it is not worth getting just regular manicure since more attention was paid to clients getting shellac and powder. While the ambience of this place was nice, and the customer service was PHENOMENAL, I have to say there were two major cons I faced with this place: 1. They didn't seem to sterilize their instruments. Each employee has their personal set of tools that they use on all customers. 2. I got dip powder nails, which looked beautiful. However the person who was doing my manicure was too lazy to actually cut my cuticles, so she used the same machine that was used to buff my nails down to buff off my cuticles. Not only was this extremely painful, but I had some blood spots on my cuticles which continued to ache when using soap/washing my hands. This also caused a lot of hang nails, which ruined the appearance of my otherwise flawless manicure. read more

Michelle makes everyone feel welcomed, like part of a family. Kaitlyn is so talented, and is a perfectionist. This is the first place I've been to who uses plastic covers for the bowls on their pedicure chairs. The wax at the other place was a yucky brown, whereas the was at Herbal Essentials is obviously fresh. I like the fact that this shop uses all natural products......go and see for yourself.....get Kaitlyn to do SNS nails, you'll love them mine stay good for a month or a little longer. The pedicures are soooo relaxing, I try to stay up, the tech doing my pedicure will make sure I'm not stressed, and I'm comfortable.
