I only wanted to explain what I needed and get a clear price before starting, but this took a long time and involved several different people. The technician who initially spoke with me asked what I wanted but then returned to finishing his existing clients. There was no clear timeline or communication about when my service would actually begin. Over an hour passed and my nail service had still not started. Pricing was given only after my pedicure had already begun, which made me feel obligated to continue even though I was uncomfortable with the timing. Because I had to leave for childcare pickup, I paid $50 and left with my acrylics removed and no polish on my pedicure. To be honest, my feet now feel rough, almost like sandpaper, which is what ultimately pushed me to leave this review. I wasn't planning to return regardless, but the unfinished and poor-quality pedicure made it hard to just let this go. Worst pedicure ever! First of all she (Van) took forever to get started and I repeatedly told them I was on my lunch break. I left over an hour later with my old polish still on the corners of my toes and new polish not cleaned up at all on my skin. Waste of time and money!! There are MANY nail salons in Sugar Land and I stumbled on this one because my usual place couldn't fit me in. Oh my am I glad for that happy accident. I got the Deluxe pedi which is the second cheapest on the menu at $35. I had the best experience! The leg and foot massage nearly put me to sleep. I've been in there before and didn't realize that these people TAKE THEIR TIME and focus on every customer each time. It was over an hour and I loved every minute. Huzzah! I have discovered another great nail salon in Sugar Land. Where they lack in unnecessary frills and fancy decor, they make up for with experience and generous hospitality. The staff is very friendly and Bill, who has been doing nails for upwards 10 years, hooked me up with a solid Shellac manicure. My nails were to' up from the flo' up. I made the mistake of getting a regular manicure a few weeks prior - trying to stray from the pricey Shellac. My fingernails were brittle and misshapen. My left thumb nail actually broke in half because my nails were so weak. At 4 PM on a Sunday, Lovett was the only place that would take my appointment. Most places didn't even answer my call although they were open. Unprofessional much? Although Lovett closes at 5PM on Sundays, they were still accepting appointments up to 4:59PM! That's just ludicrous! Bill cleaned my cuticles so fast, but I could tell he was experienced because they all looked great. He covered my broken thumb nail with a fake nail, and it blends in seamlessly with the other nails. The shaping is nearly perfect, but I don't expect them to read my mind to know what shape I like on the first go. Next time, I will be more communicative about the shape. They are very receptive to what YOU want, and don't try to push anything on you. Compared to their competitors in the area, Lovett Nails is a bargain. Their Deluxe Pedicure is $30 instead of $35 right now (includes sugar scrub, foot mask, paraffin wax dip, and hot stone massage), which makes them considerably cheaper than the other frou frou nail shops around. My shellac mani was $27, and the distance plus ease of scheduling makes them adds even more value. Bill made sure to inform me that they fix any nicks/chips for free. It's about four days and so far so good. No emergency trips to the nail salon yet, mostly because he had me under the UV light for a couple extra cycles. The owner, Nancy, is very charismatic and we talked for a bit. Bill and Nancy are husband and wife, so really this is a family run business. The shop's reputation was tainted by the previous owner, and they are trying to come back from that. They are obviously doing a great job - made apparent by all the compliments I have been getting on my manicure. read more

If you are as precise and careful with your nails like me. Don't come here. Other than angry Vietnamese ladies scream and laughing like maniacs in the back to where you can't even hear the music anymore, this place has cute decors. But they do such a bad job it gives me the chills just thinking about it. I came here for a simple changing of polish and powder nexgen. But she gave me acrylic. No clue why but she did it. It took her 2 hours. 2 HOURS. Do you know how much things you can accomplish in 2 hours? A LOT. She did not put the shape I wanted. And gave me the 'right size' extension when it is clearly bigger than what it should be. Cut me where I told her the skin is sensitive. Lost count how many times she cuts my cuticle. And even after I told her don't focus on the cuticles. Still cuts me. Also lost count how many times she said sorry. Which doesn't even sound sincere after so many times. Making my nails slanted. One side of clearly more filed down than the other. This isn't my first time getting my nails done. Or second. Or third. But this is by far the worst nails experience I have ever experienced. Don't trust the stars on yelp. They are liars. Don't come here either. They don't care about you. Or your nails. Or your skins or any cuts or anything you tell them. Basically stay far away. The owner is very sweet, she's very welcoming and seems to be a fun gal! The ladies are very attentive here and there's plenty of options for a pedicure. I of course go for the deluxe pedicure since I'm just that extra! Lol! There's different options for scents and I picked the orange it smells so delightful and I'm happy I picked that scent! Thanks god i didnt belive in any bad reviews that i have read because this is going to be my lil secret and pamper spot. I came in around 5 and it was pretty busy , however, i got greeted right away and they put me on the pedi chair for about 10 mins before working on my feet. The pedi chair is super super comfy . Based on the reviews and pictures, my sister and I came to explore this location to celebrate the end of her finals! She came out saying: "i think this is the best manicure ive ever had!!" On this day (3pm), the place was not busy so we were attended VERY quickly. Unfortunately this speed became a bit nerve-wracking for me when the manicurist handed me a huge thing of nail rounds and asked me to choose a color! I needed waaaay more time to explore ALL their WONDERFUL selection! I quickly chose a pink color and a gold highlight to go on top of it. My sister decided to get acrylic nails and she moved to another side of the room but from my view, she was being attended very well. My manicurist and I did not speak one peep aside from directions/"do you like it?" I think as humans we always crave more interaction, but I was in a very relaxed state of mind so I didn't mind it I would guesstimate we were there MAX 40 minutes. Overall, the employees were very kind, respectful and skilled ( they offer water and soft drinks.) $34 for both mani and pedi is very reasonable in Sugarland! But I don't know if I'm coming back... This place was fairly quiet when I went in. There were 4 employees. One customer was already in before me and another customer came in after me. What I observed was that they had an older clientele. Color choices were okay. They do carry OPI but some of the bottles seem old and the polish seemed dried out. They carry some China Glaze and then some off brands. They do not carry Essie though. The colors were mostly reds and pinks. Lots of neons and glitters but not enough pastels. I suggest bringing your own color if you're picky or indecisive like me. They have different options for both manis and pedis. I choose the most basic option for both. The classic pedicure was a great value! It includes callus work, massage, mint scrub, and hot towels. The regular manicure is pretty straight-forward. I was in there for almost 2.5 HOURS. It definitely wasn't busy and they weren't really short staffed either. So I had to get two services done separately. Nancy did my pedicure and it was fine. It wasn't the best but not the worst either. I had shellac on previously and wanted to take that off to get a regular manicure. I like the method they use to remove shellac which consists of wrapping each finger with foil, cotton ball, and acetone. Much better than having to soak your hands in a bowl of acetone which smells and leaves your hands dry! After Nancy removed my shellac, suddenly she leaves me to another employee to do my manicure. Ruby did an okay job. I had to remind her to put a second coat before applying top coat. I love getting my nails done and it's usually a treat. But after all that time, I was so RELIEVED to be get out of there! Service was great though. The ladies are friendly and during much of my service they remained quiet and professional.
