Henry's Tacos is a good place for a quick bite to eat after walking around the other shops along tujunga near here. They have a few tables outside to sit at which are nice when in the shade. I had a couple hard tacos and loved them. All the ingredients tasted fresh. The ground beef had a great flavor to it and the Crunchy Taco Shell was great quality and didn't fall apart. I've never been served a taco so fast in my life. This is an institution obviously, been there forever. It's cash only and the tacos are just very standard and basic. But that's what you go to Henry's for. It's just you're getting a taco and you're paying like 4 bucks for it. I got one beef taco - it comes one way - and a small Coke and I gave her a 20 and she gave me my change back and immediately gave me my taco. It was like just there. I didn't see anybody make it. Maybe they make them ahead of time. It's outdoor seating only from what I saw. They do have umbrellas to get in the shade and it was very clean. The servers inside were very nice. I truly love this place; because they serve good, fresh food with plenty of ingredients. Good portions, but not that affordable. It's a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for. This is a family owned business and they keep it real and clean. Inside and outside. They have a cute patio in the front and in the back which is always enjoyable to sit outside and have your food. They don't have many options to choose from, since this is not an actual restaurant to sit down and order your food. Limited menu options which doesn't give you too much time to think what is it that you want to order?? They have Tostadas, soft and crunchy hard Tacos, Burritos which normally comes with ground beef, beans, lettuce and tomato. If you want to add anything extra such as guacamole, sour cream, rice, then you need to pay extra. They also give you mild and hot sauces. I was there on Saturday 1/3/2026 in the afternoon and got a crunch/hard shell taco and their standard size burrito. SO good! Especially their flour tortilla burrito. Always my 1st choice wherever I go!! Also have soft drinks. Few parking spots adjacent to the Taco booth/stand and a very nice, helpful, good customer service. CASH ONLY!! Place is neat and clean!! But here is the thing: they only have ground beef tacos, or at least on the day I went that is what the woman told me. Started off with the cashier wiping sweat from her brow then handling our items. My "large" drink was filled 1/4" from the top with crushed ice. I was done in a few sips. I asked to get more soda. Been eating at Henry's for 50+ years. Definitely hits a certain spot. One of my old school faves... Has always been a neighborhood staple...has a certain something that's hard to put a finger on. The Vibe...the OGness...tradition...the pop font...and of course, unique product offering and great flavors and great value!!! Whatever the case may be, life long fan. All that having been said...must also mention that it's better now than it's ever been. The tortillas are most definitely better than they used to be. The product prep is tighter...flavors/textures are just a little bit better than they were in the past. Although they could put just a little more in the hard shell tacos. Used to have just a little more filling/cheese/let-tom. JS But wanted to share that it's def being better managed than 10-20 years ago. Honestly, I love Henry's Tacos. It's not authentic Mexican, but I've always liked it -- and I even fought hard for them back when they almost went out of business a decade ago and had to relocate across the street. My only complaint now? The food is still good and the prices are still solid... but please do NOT trust their posted hours. I can't tell you how many times I've shown up before 5pm and they're closed, or rolled through around noon and they still haven't opened. Come on, Henry's -- get it together! I have been coming here since I was a child at their original location on the corner of Tujunga and Moorpark before the Cactus took it over (bleh!). Luckily there now right down the street on Tujunga. The best Gringo Mexican especially when you need so Which quick, friendly, fast service. And it's a bargain! It's decent. Got the hard shell taco, tostada, and combo burrito. Menu is basic. Items are basic. Ingredients are minimal and simple... but in a good way. I just wish for the price I got a little more. I didn't leave hungry, but I feel like the burrito could've had more meat, and same with the tostada. Maybe next time I'll do 2 hard shell tacos, a tostada, and a burrito. Also, I wish they had combo boxes.
