We celebrated a wedding with immediate family members only in the Lounge at Henry's. Was perfect for an intimate event where we had minimal time to try to decorate, and had privacy for our family. Spent the night is this small northern Ohio town while at a wedding event. Decided after all the festive items were over it was time for a last bite. It's a small town restaurant local staff all sharp and bright eyed. We got prime rib and meatball singular and spaghetti. Wife said the one meatball and pasta was good. I am still on my quest to find great prime rib at a not high place but I'll have to keep looking. Tasted ok but was kinda grey in color. Old time style tossed salads were good blue cheese dressing was good too. Margarine instead of butter. Now for the clincher...PIE homemade pies! They looked good so I choose the coconut cream meringue pie and I loved it! Not very sweet full of coconut and a great cream filling with flaky crust. The price was very low for the size and quality next time I'm getting pie for an appetizer pie for salad a pie entree and more pie for dessert! read more

The service here was suuuuper slow. took over 20min to get simple eggs and pancake. was very shocked and it definitely deserves the 2 stars

I can only speak for breakfast at this restaurant. My husband and I were visiting family in Ottawa and looking for a breakfast place while family was at work. They mentioned Henry's but weren't sure it would be open. I can say it is open on Friday mornings at 9 when we were there! No sign near the road, so I guess only the locals know its location. It was plenty crowded. Coffee is good, and we both ordered omelets made to order. As mine was being served, the waitress noticed right away that they had screwed it up, so she took it back to be remade and said she told them to rush. Meantime, she brought the potatoes and toast so I wouldn't starve. When the omelet did come, it was chock full of veggies just like I'd make at home. Potatoes were good, too. Waitress took both coffees off the bill for the foul up. Nice people, decent food for a good price. We'll be back again when we visit Ottawa. read more

We had prime rib tonight which was awful. Fatty and full of grizzle. Pie was worse than pie out of the freezer section. They should just take it off the menu. Service was excellent. Help was all wearing masks except for the manager who was running the register. Wouldn't go back. read more

I thought the cole slaw was not very good. Very juicy and had a funny taste. I had the fried perch and deep fried mushrooms. I liked both just wish the perch was sautéed maybe instead of deep fried. Too much fried stuff. I asked for a Moscow Mule and the waitress said she didn't know what it was. Vodka and Ginger Beer. She waved it off and said we don't have Ginger Beer....??? My wife and frequented Henry's in Kenton, Ohio quite often and always got very good meals. However, we have two complaints about the staff. The first is as soon as we entered the restaurant we were directed to the bar area. Neither of us drink and thought this was insulting. We still came to the restaurant. Until the last time. We had enough. This time same thing tried to direct us to bar. We forgot to look at the special board. So, went back to look. As we turned the corner to get our booth The hostess was leaning against one of the booths. She never smiled: just walked ahead. Here now is the final straw. After we were seated. It took forever for our waitress to come. In fact she never did. One of the other waitresses saw that she had customers and told her. By that time, we very disgusted and left. We just had an amazing meal at Henry's tonight. I have food allergies (wheat and some others) and after I explained them they fixed my chicken perfectly for me. My boyfriend had lasagna and loved it too. The service is always good and there is a great hometown camaraderie which adds to the pleasure even though I live in another town. read more

this place has the best breakfast. when i worked night a few friends and i would get there amazing breakfasts with a ice cold beer! soups are very good aswell you can tell there home made not out of a bag or can. there fried food is amazing! there some magic in there blue cheese and ranch dressing. if its from a jug they fooled me! service is fast and friendly often you get a basket of crackers to snack on while you wait. prices are great and reasonable. they also have amazing daily specials and they serve up a lot of food for the price! they could do better with the salad bar but yet it includes a soup bar aswell. more toppings would be great. but really give them a try good people good food nothing super but its about as small town as you can get without wasting time and money at places like red pig in... over priced tiny portions nasty read more
