Found this spot an hour away searching for good spots to eat along the way. Street parking could be hard to find if during a busy time. Lots of good food selections to choose from. I was going to order a chicken parm but had that for dinner the night before so went with a meatball. Gf went with a veggie grinder. Took maybe ten minutes for it to be ready and we went across the street and sat at the table of the other business that was closed. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. She didn't want any of the carrot cake so I meowed that down. Definitely a place to pop in if traveling through!

I've been wanting to try their Sicilian-style pizza for quite some time, and my birthday cookie…read morereward finally gave me the perfect excuse to celebrate. They already have a fantastic thin-crust pizza, so I asked if they could make the Sicilian style with the muffuletta toppings. No problem at all. It took a little longer than expected (ordered for 4:45, ready at 5:00), but it was absolutely worth the wait. Ordering is easy online or by phone. If you get voicemail, just call back - they're probably on the phone with another customer. Now, about that pizza. The thick Sicilian crust had the perfect chew: light and airy inside with a crisp, golden bottom. Every bite was loaded with the bold salty toppings, bringing a savory, slight spice/pickled kick that paired perfectly with the oils and melted cheese. The toppings reached edge to edge, creating a pizza that was hearty, flavorful, and impossible to put down. Please pencil in a visit to The Deli on a Wednesday to grab one of their pizzas. I do recommend ordering ahead to claim your dough. This version reads like a Yelp review and really highlights the texture and flavor of a loaded Sicilian pie.

We ordered a large sub with hot ham, corn beef, lettuce, tomato, onion with thousand island dressing. The potato salad looked good so a cup of that also. The sub was huge. The potato salad was the best I've ever had (as good if not better than homemade). You could tell they really care about quality here (boars head cold cuts). They have a pleasant seating area to sit with a tv and several tables. I know it's inside a gas station but I don't care because if I lived closer I would visit often. It is a typical deli you order at the corner and wait while they make it but it's definitely much better than other delis.

Lil' miss frumpy sub maker lady did not wake up on the right side of the bed today. But I knew exactly where I was and my tone and question did not deserve a response like this. Frumpy sub maker lady continued to dish out her rudeness saying that we were wasting her time for asking questions and sarcastically gave back the tip we had given. My tone never shifted from start to finish, even after calling out the poor service. I do not like to call out establishments, especially local businesses, but holy shit she was rude. Probably the rudest food service experience I've ever had. Best sub rolls in upstate ny though...that will always be true. It is always a choice to be an asshole. (Cause they were not opened yet for the day) This place did not disappoint and it just seems to come of nowhere. It's a brand new build, has some outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Just to give you an idea this is a family run place. I believe their Mom and other assorted relatives make all the food. Do yourself a favor and try some stuff behind one of the counters. The Antipasti Salad, Olive Salad, Arancini , Lasagna, assorted pastas and more; I believe maybe a Chicken Milanese but it all looked scrumptious. The Arancini was huge about the size of two.. the person behind the counter asked if we wanted it to go or have it heated up with sauce to eat here. Oh yea we ate some of it here. It was lovely a lightly fried crust, the Arborio Rice was just right but I wished it had a little more meat/cheese/green pea filling. Granted it was large but I'd deal with less rice and more filling. This is just me don't "at me" ok. Otherwise it was delicious the filling was tasty and lightly seasoned and the sauce was just right a nice bright red sauce. The flavors reminded me of the Nonna's I knew back in the day in Chicago. We also got the Olive Salad it was briny and slightly hot with different olives, red onions, artichoke and more. It had a nice oil and vinegar hit you need with something like this. Than we got a sub.. all I will say kids if all you get is a sub omg if you are hungry after eating this I won't believe it. It's packed full of meats, veggies, cheese and whatever condiments you want. This sub was delicious and the bread was warm I swear it had just been made or something (ask to know if they make it in house I'm guessing yes?) We got an Italian Sub you can get whatever topping you want in it along with all the deli meats that come with it. It was so much for the two of us and we took most of it home. I finished the Arancini at home and it's just yummy. The inside is neat and tidy, you can pick up other treats like cookies and soft drinks and such. I'm guessing you can do a catering order of things but as always ask. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's basically family who's running the spot. (Since they knew we would be sitting outside she mentioned "oh we'll bring it out to you" this was a nice gesture and much appreciated. ) This place was rocking and as I said earlier it just seems to pop up out of nowhere.
