I decided to use Henry's Cab Service because I saw on both Yelp and Google Reviews that it received mostly positive reviews, which can be really hard to find because it is usually very difficult to find a reputable and reliable cab company. Yesterday, I had a very good impression of this company when I needed to be driven to the Dallas Arboretum (which was more than 10 miles away from my hotel), and then subsequently, to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science afterwards. The cab driver who came to pick me up and drop me off was very punctual. When my own hotel shuttle service was unreliable and did not pick me up from the Perot Museum like I had asked them to, the cab driver from Henry's was very quick and responsive and picked me up within 15 minutes of contacting Henry's. I was really grateful for that because I was very concerned about my own safety after I was told that the hotel shuttle driver could not come. Thank goodness that Henry's cab driver came on time so at least I wasn't stranded in downtown by myself! However, I was not so impressed earlier this morning. I had already texted Henry yesterday evening to request a cab driver to pick me up from my hotel at 6 am so that I could catch my flight that left at 7:20 am. Henry texted me back and said that he would arrange that. This morning, I got up early and made sure that I would be ready to go when the cab driver came. However, no one from Henry's cab service came. I texted and called Henry to ask if one of his drivers was still planning on showing up. But he did not text or call me back. Then by 6:15 am, I finally asked the hotel front desk clerk if perhaps the hotel airport shuttle could take me, even though the hotel's policy was not to start official shuttle service until at least 6:30 am. The hotel front desk clerk this morning was very attentive and tried to summon a hotel airport shuttle to come. But he couldn't get any of the shuttle drivers to start before 6:30 am. So because of the urgency of my situation, he called a cab company called Black Tie, to come and pick me up. I was grateful for the clerk's help in trying to get me to the airport. But I wasn't too happy with the cab service he had picked because the Black Tie cab driver was very unfriendly and grouchy, and acted like it was my fault that I was late to the airport. I got to the airport. But because it was cutting so close to my flight departure, I hurried to do curbside check-in. To add further to my dismay, the security checkpoint at the Dallas Love Field Airport was SO long! Fortunately, to ease my anxiety, 2 very helpful security checkpoint officers expedited the long line by checking everyone's boarding passes to see who needed to get rushed to the front so they would still be able to catch their flights. If it wasn't for those 2 security checkpoint officers at Dallas Love Field, I would have totally missed my flight back to Los Angeles! I was really not too happy that everything snowballed the way it did when I already did everything I could the day before to arrange for a scheduled ride to the airport! I just arrived back to Los Angeles this afternoon. But even up til now, I did not even get a text or phone call back from Henry from this morning. Not even an apology text or phone call. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I was going to give 5 stars, based on my positive experience yesterday, and especially because yesterday's cab driver was very prompt and picked me up from downtown at a very critical time when my hotel shuttle fell through on me. But this morning's experience of no cab driver showing up at all, and no apology to follow that, changed my mind. read more

;o) First & Foremost, Henry the owner is simply FANTASTIC, VERY THOROUGH & PROFESSIONAL. He followed-up on my reservation, not once, but twice and reassured me that my driver would be on time. Boy, he was right!!! I am a native New Yorker from the BIG APPLE, which excellent service is expected and modeled after. My driver, Daniel (whom I HIGHLY recommend), was on time and on point, friendly, accommodating and professional toward my daughter and I. We were flying out of two separate airports in Dallas, both flights leaving at 6a; and I requested a 3:30am pick-up. I was not comfortable with her leaving that early in the morning by herself, and opted to drop her off first. Henry, who worked with me and quoted me an AWESOME rate was SUPERB!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We reserved a ride to the airport the night before our trip using the online reservation form, and Henry himself called us to confirm that he had received the reservation. However, the next morning, no taxi came. We called to see what the problem was, and were told that there was an internal miscommunication and that he would call back to see what was going on. Then, he called back and told us that we had never booked a cab at all. Unbelievable!! He was extremely rude. We had to call Uber to rescue us in time to make our flight. read more

I called this company when the trains broke downtown. It was at 5:27pm, and the dispatcher told me it would be 10-15 minutes. After 30 minutes of the initial call , I was finally able to get through the line and ask if the taxi was still coming. He got angry, nasty and rude and told me that the cab was on time because it's on his caller ID and declared that I had called him 10 minutes ago. I was talking to him nicely and understand that the cab was trying to get through the rush traffic, and I asked him several times what he is so angry about when I was just trying to make sure the cab is coming since I have call history on my phone, and it indicates that I called 30 minutes ago. At that point, he yelled at me "I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU ANYMORE!!!!!" and hung up. Not knowing if this angry, nasty rude man canceled the cab after he hung up, I called a Star Cabs which picked me up in one minute. Yes, only one minute. If I can give this company -50 stars to bring down the average of its Yelp rating to what it really should be, I would. Beware of the angry, nasty, rude man and call a different company. read more

ZERO stars for this company. I used this service before Covid twice when Tammy was driving for Henry. When she picked me up from my return flight, she and her car reeked of cigarettes. I thought I would give Henry a shot again and explained my concerns about the cigarette smell, he said Tammy no longer worked for him and to give him a chance. I did - first trip was okay. Second and LAST time I will ever use him - he picked me up for my Holiday flight and on my return back to DAL I had a text from him (as I was landing) to call him. The first words out of his mouth were "walk down to where the cabs are and they will charge you between $25 - $28, I am in Terrell and can't get you" NO APOLOGY. The cab cost me $48 and his arrogance was unprofessional - will never use him again!! When I told him he overcharged for the ride in (he didn't send me the receipt until I asked for it) he wanted to argue. Best not to waste your time or $$ with someone like this. AND you won't have to hear him moan and complain about how crappy things are for him the entire drive. I ended up paying more but got fabulous service and a happy person!! I saw Henry had good reviews so I figured I'd give him a call. I asked for an 8 pm pick up last night and he was there waiting a few minutes early. He was very friendly and professional and even gave me some advice on some of the local bars downtown and pointed them out to me as we passed. I would recommend Henry to anyone and everyone - he makes a huge effort to do the best he can for all of his customers. Will definitely be calling him again! read more

This is an excellent cab company that is prompt & professional. I had to head out to work in uptown at 5:30am and the cab called/arrived five minutes ahead of schedule. I normally use Uber but they tend to be quite scarce & unreliable early in the morning, at least in my neck of the woods, near the "High Five", where 635 & 75 meet. All you've gotta do is either schedule your ride with these guys online if it's 12 hours prior to your desired pick-up time or call Henry if you need a ride sooner; he'll advise you to text him your info & then shoot you a confirmation response via text within a few minutes. Arturo was my driver & he did a fantastic job. I will definitely be using these guys again for all my taxi ride needs & highly suggest you do the same. Support local businesses in big D! read more

This is the second time I've been left at Love Field without a pre- arranged cab waiting from Henry's. The first time Henry call me himself and apologized for extenuating circumstances and I changed my rating to a more favorable one. Today after a twelve hour grueling day of travel and after having responded to the driver's text (it wasn't Henry) that I confirmed the appointment and where he would meet me, I waited for 45 minutes and still no cab. So I had to take a cab from the queue out in from of Love Field. Not a happy camper. In the future I will have to find a more reliable source for transportation. read more

I easily scheduled a pick up online (about a week early) and Henry called me within half an hour to confirm. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! called to make a reservation the night before my mother had her first cancer surgery. Called Henry's for the good reputation. They pointed me to the website and told me NOT to make the reservation on the phone. I made the reservation online THEN called to confirm it because they never called me. Pick up time rolls around and Henry's NEVER SHOWS UP. My mother, nervous about her first cancer surgery, had to call and ask where the cab was. Response: "let me find him- click". Hung up the phone!! Five minutes later my mother called again and he said "well if you keep calling me how am I going to help you!?" WHAT THE F?????? My mother has bigger things to worry about than some slimey cab company mistreating her. This company has NO RESPECT OR VALUE for their customers. AVOID at all costs. read more

HORRIBLE!!! Spoke to Henry at 11:45am to have a pick up at 5:15pm to DFW. He said that he could bring us and requested me to text him. I gave him the pick up address, number of passengers, and repeated destination/time. 5:20pm comes, Henry is no where to be found. Called - went straight to voicemail. Texted and no response. We booked a taxi to and from DFW airport from Plano for a family of 4, 4 suitcases and a set of golf clubs. Not many services out there can accommodate that much luggage without it being an executive car service. The price was fair and the drivers were on time. We got Henry himself for one of the pickups. Very nice guy (not used to having a driver wearing a sweatsuit pick me up, but we weren't entertaining clients so it was ok). He had a luggage cart waiting for us at the carousel and took the most direct route. A different driver picked us up for the other leg of the trip, and he was very personable and helpful. Credit cards are accepted. We will use the service again! read more

When I made my reservation, I was expecting a huge dispatch service where I would be sent a driver who was different from the person answering the phones. I was a bit surprised when Henry himself showed up the next morning to take me to the airport. He arrived before my requested pick up time, texted me to let me know he was there (bonus points since it was 6am and who wants to talk on the phone at that hour?). During the ride, he received a call requesting a pick up, but since he was booked up, instead of just declining the fare, he graciously gave the caller the number to another service. I can't say enough good things about Henry's cab service. My elderly parents were stranded in Dallas after an ice storm. I managed to find them a hotel (which turned out to be quite sketchy), but needed to get them back to the airport for their rescheduled flight the next day. Roads were still icy, and most cab companies weren't even answering their phones. Henry not only took my call, but promised immediate help when he heard the situation. He was quite alarmed when he heard where they were staying and said "I WILL get someone over there to pick them up!" After they were picked up, he called to follow up and let me know they were safely in the cab. My parents are not in the best health, and mom is quite frail, so I was very worried about them, and trying to coordinate their emergency plans from several hundred miles away. Henry's personal concern and professional service allowed me to finally rest easy after a pretty stressful day and night. read more

This review is long overdue... I used his service twice a few months back and have been meaning to write this review for some time. Henry was very accommodating for my family. I needed a cab from the village (my place can be hard to find) to the airport. He was there 15 minutes before and loaded all my luggage, car seat, and stroller. I called him again to pick me up from the airport later on and he was there early again, and loaded everything in his van/cab. We drove home, he helped unload and charged a fair and honest price. I give him 5 stars and would not hesitate to call him for all my future cab needs. Hes honest and trustworthy. There is one bad review but don't let it deter you from giving him a shot. I'm not sure what happened there but I do know that if you book a reservation, you will get an e-mail confirmation from Josephine with her number. Only thing is, you should not call Josephine as she did not pick up my 5 calls, which can be stressful when you have to be at the airport soon. I made a reservation online days before needing to get picked up on a Sunday afternoon. I received an email confirmation fairly quickly which I liked. I called a few days prior to my appointment just to make sure and Henry confirmed that he would pick me up and he did. He arrived about 10 minutes before my time to get to Dallas Love Airport. He was polite and most importantly, on time! I'm from California but in the future if I need a ride, I'll be sure to use this service again. read more

I used Henry's Cab Service to provide airport transportation for a group coming to town for a company event. Since everyone was coming in from different locations and made their own reservations, I needed to schedule airport transfers (from 2 different airports) throughout the day. I sent Henry a list of people and flight times and cell numbers (with some people grouped together if they arrived around the same time) and let him take over from there. He kept me up-to-date on who had been picked up and who was still left. I was busy at the venue, so it was nice to receive these updates. I did the same thing for the return airport transfers. He made sure everyone got to the airport as I directed. Henry even helped me find a 24-passenger bus for a couple of short-distance trips (under 2 miles each). Saved money over using a larger bus transportation company and time over trying to round up and keep track of a larger number of cabs and hoping no one was left behind. Will use Henry's Cab Service again for any future group meetings I have in Dallas. read more

Extremely late. Very unreliable. I scheduled with Henry to take me to Love Field Airport on a Monday morning. I then called Henry on Saturday and scheduled to be picked up in Arlington and brought home to Dallas on Sunday, as I wanted to drop my car off at a good mechanic there to be fixed while I was traveling the next week. We scheduled a 1:00 p.m. pickup time at the Arlington address on Sunday. Henry then called me Sunday morning and asked to reschedule due to trips he had picked up and due to the weather (which rained and stopped within minutes.) I asked him what time he could pick me up in Arlington, and he said 2 p.m. He then said to call him at 1:30 pm to check on the weather. I said, No, if you don't call me, and I don't call you before then, let's just make it 2 p.m. He said OK. I drove to Arlington and was there by 1:45 p.m. The people I was taking my car to weren't home. I waited for Henry. He wasn't there at 2 p.m. I was standing out in the heat waiting for him for 30 minutes. I called him twice. He then blamed it on me saying I misunderstood the time even though I had a text that said to pick me up at 2 p.m. with him saying O.K. At 2:30 p.m., he made it sound like he was still at DFW airport and would be on his way. That is unprofessional and unacceptable. I couldn't afford to be late the next morning to the airport - who can risk their cab being an hour or so late? So, I cancelled both cab rides with him. I, therefore, couldn't get my car repaired that week as scheduled. I didn't have time to try to find a more reliable cab company, so I simply am forced to drive my car to the airport. Henry, you let me down. I had such a good experience last time I had no problem booking you this time. Problem is, I made a reservation online TWO DAYS ago and gave you an hour leeway. I was supposed to be in at 9 and I said 10 on the reservation. It's 10:09 and I'm still standing here. Your supposed driver called and said he was coming but not in the black minivan I got to ride in last time. Too bad. I thought this was a good company. read more
