They are charging $226 quarterly for service in Richmond now. The last time they missed our pickup, they came 9 days later than they should have. We requested a refund for that week. They had NOT planned on refunding anyone they had skipped! We had stayed with them for such a long time because Henrico county had originally said they would only pick up one can. I called them this week, and they will now pick up two cans per week...for $54 quarterly! They just came today, and they did a great job! Our trash is gone, and our bill is 75% smaller. Fantastic. For all of you holding on to Republic Services, just let go and pick another provider. Their consistent failure to provide the most basic trash removal, their unresponsive supervisors and their uninterested phone reps should eventually drive them out of business!

They miss trash…read morepickups relatively consistently, and when you call, the customer service girl is no help and just makes excuses. Management is terrible and we all know it's a trickle down effect. We had a month of no pick up in February when our road was icy. We didn't complain and just took it to the dump ourselves. We then had several weeks in a row where they were at least a day late, if not more. This leads to more issues because we have many animals around that will get into the trash and strew it everywhere, so we get to clean it all up and wait. Then, hilariously, on day three of no pick up, someone came out and removed the top third of of our can and left the rest. When I called, the response was that trash is supposed to be in bags. My response was that if they were on time, animals would not have gotten into the trash and we would not have had to pick it up and put it back in the bin. It is easily due to them not doing their job that animals got into the trash. We finally cancelled after nothing but hassle. We had also just paid for the upcoming three months one day prior to cancellation. They absolutely refused to refund our money. Customer service is the worst we've experienced with any company. Oh, and the kicker is, they actually took our personal bin at their final bin removal. It definitely doesn't say "Zan's" on it. We had to call to get it returned. And again with the excuses as they said it was taken because it looked exactly like theirs. Um, nope. When all added up, we did not have regular trash removal for two solid months. And they expect customers to just be OK with it. We were patient and understanding for quite some time. That being said, we were also paying a service that was not being provided. If we could give zero stars, we would.
