My group of friends went here on Sunday night of opening weekend. Everyone working here was super…read morenice, almost too many people working here for how small this place really is. It's located next to Heffe tacos and the food menu comes from there though you can order with your tab thankfully since otherwise heffe is cash only. My friends enjoyed their food, getting tacos and empanadas. My drink was tasty, it was a frozen margarita made without alcohol (essentially a frozen limeade slushy) and I understood it might come at the same price as the regular (it did). I would love it if they had a menu item specifically called out as a mocktail even for a dollar or two cheaper like many restaurants but I get it. The music kept dying out with the bluetooth speaker system they had going. It was a little loud at times but we were sitting right next to it. The DJ left when we came, so maybe that's a fun addition, wouldn't really know though. Unfortunately (and it was possibly our own mistake) we did end up accidentally double tipping (40%) so it was pretty expensive for this and a water bottle. My part of the bill came up to 22.40$ for the frozen marg ($13)+ water bottle ($3) + our accidental double gratuity. They do have automatic gratuity of 20% which I support, just make sure you really read the bill when they come around with the card reader you make sure the math adds up. We did feel comfortable hanging out for a while though considering all that. The vibe of it is cute, and we had a pleasant time underneath the canopy of the tree while it drizzled, they did move all our tables and chairs after they offered us better seating for a better vibe. The string lights are always nice. I might not visit again considering the other options around here but I can see how it's a great addition to the neighborhood and how friendly all the staff were. I'll check back on other yelpers experience though! They are still testing out the menu so it sounded like they were trying a couple different kinds of drinks, so maybe if you're here in the next week or so after their weekend grand opening check if there's anything off the menu.

The first time we were here it was GREAT! The photo is from that day. The rum punch was delicious,…read morewe were chatting with the bartender about how awesome it was since we missed a good tiki bar while in Philly. The fresh fruit on the drinks was great. She was super friendly and personable.... Unfortunately, we went back today for Labor Day and it was almost embarrassing. If you wanted a decent drink you needed to be a friend or say you were with with a dj, etc. We got another rum punch and it was straight yellow, no fresh fruit aside from a small green pineapple triangle..., it tasted like straight canned pineapple juice, was mostly ice. I didn't even want to drink it, let the bf drink it all. Like I said, unless you were a friend, etc, your drinks aren't gonna be great, it's a really cool "backyard" vibe until the service is meh. I hope it gets better next year, consistently, because it was really nice earlier this summer, but got way too lax as the season went on.

Albeit not a 'tv' bar - they always have either some weird movie on (have fun trying to guess which one) or the Phillies/Flyers, etc. NEVER put your drink on the pool table and always wash your hands after you use the restroom lol. 12 Steps Down is one of the best dives in the city, if not the best. This is the Yards bar inside the PHL airport…read more Even though we were completely exhausted after an overseas flight, we had a great time here! The usual array of beers, and some PHL favorites which my boyfriend quaffed. I was so tired, I stuck to ginger ale. The bartender was fantastic, and she made the hours until our flight fly by. Jamming some great tunes, many of us were singing along! She really fostered a lively, fun atmosphere! If I'm ever back in the PHL airport, I will pop by again!

The 5 stars mostly goes for how friendly the staff was. We popped in for a pre-movie beer. The…read moreselection is good (not great) but you're likely to find something of interest. The bar is split with the restaurant half (though I think technically combined?) and I can absolutely see this place being PACKED for an Eagles game. Very reasonable pricing for beer. The service was superb. We happened to be there when AirBNB was there to take pictures and we requested not to be part of the photos. Not only were they super nice about it, they actually gave us free drinks for the "inconvenience" of having to move bars. And the vibe overall is great, very laid back but with tons of TVs bound to have whatever game you want to watch on. If you live in the neighborhood, this could easily be a go-to spot.

I especially like it here on a Monday's when they have a 1/2 off growlers. There's indoor out and outdoor seating you can also get specialty beers to go from the case and there's so much to choose from. I generally sit at the bar inside to get myself a couple samples of the new beers on tap just to help make a decision on what I'd like to take home. The staff is helpful, very efficient and friendly. The place is very clean well lit. Parking may be at a premium on certain days. What kept me from giving this business five stars is how food is ordered. I knew that they sold hotdogs because they're right on the counter next to the draft beer but I mentioned I needed a little more sustenance. ' we have a food menu you can order food' it was with other items next to the register. I had no idea it was food from across the street and it caused two different tabs. I should've been told is an advance in the end it was fine the pizza was good as was the beer but I would have preferred a heads up. If you use a credit card there is a $10 minimum if you get eight dollars worth of beer like I did it may have been a problem because I couldn't use my card for lack of cash! The items together were $24. When closing out trying to get to my movie the restaurant took an extended period of time bringing me my card back.
