No airbrushing involved! Each tattoo starts with a new stencil which sticks to the skin with adhesive. Glue is then applied and the glitter is painted on. After the stencil is peeled off (and discarded), the rhinestones are applied and set. We went to a party with Aloha Glitter Tattoos and the kids absolutely loved their tattoos! Some of them got one on each arm AND each leg!! The boys got dragons and UH warriors tattoos and the girls got all kinds of cute flowers and cupcakes with rhinestones! The tattoos are supposed to last 7 days but I'm sure my daughter will try to make it last 2 weeks. She loves tattoos. She loves glitter tattoos. I might have to book them for her next party. 2 body artists, 2 hours, $200.

The highlight of this company is that the owner who booked the event and the staff who came to the…read moreparty were nice and professional. Besides that, note that the company's website states that they "charge a travel fee of $25 for venues OUTSIDE of metro Honolulu." My event was in Downtown Honolulu and the owner said that I still needed to pay the $25 travel fee (just checked and the website hasn't changed). The owner also said a few days before the event to expect 3 staff; however, only 2 staff came to the party. I paid $393 for 2 hours of glitter tattoos and balloon art. The pictures on Yelp and their company website look great. However, the skill and experience of the 2 staff who came to my event were trainee/beginner level. A guest commented that the glitter tattoos took a while to apply, which may be harder for younger kids to sit through. The website photos also show several colors on many glitter tattoos, but the glitter tattoos made at my party were only one and sometimes two colors. The balloon art honestly looked like they were made by someone who just began doing it a few months ago. I think a more experienced staff person (the 3rd staff that was promised) should have came to event to give them tips and to provide more variety for party guests. Of course, guests didn't make any comments during the party, but when I asked a few closer friends after the party if they'd use this company at future events, they said no. They were actually surprised that I paid that much for what I got. If you don't mind paying around $400 for 2 hours of very simple temporary glitter tattoos and balloons, for an age 5 and under crowd (older kids wouldn't be impressed), then this company might be for you. I've included a few photos for you to decide.

After seeing a lot of different face painting work I realized how much more beautiful and unique Liz's work was. She does not go for your plain and typical designs like the DIY amazon kits. She does not even reuse the tattoo stencils for the glitter tattoos, they dispose after each use. BTW, you're welcome fellow germaphobes. :D I decided to hire Twinkle Face Painting for my son's 2nd birthday after seeing her rave reviews and compliments from word of mouth. My son's birthday party was super hero themed. The boys all wanted to be iron man! It was so much fun to see their faces light up with joy! I wish I had hired her sooner for other birthdays. Liz is very professional. She does have a schedule to keep like the rest of us so I booked a month and a half in advance and she checked up with me several times to get the location, details and make sure everything was going to be a success! Alas the party date arrived and the work that was done was nothing short of magic!!! They arrived early and set up with their own table and chairs at our party. Liz is so friendly and works fast and very well with children and adults alike. I found this business to be exceptional in every way! Everybody loved Twinkle Face Painting! They were the highlight of my child's birthday party, but the adults loved the glitter tattoos and face painting as well! I recommend Twinkle Face Painting for anybody wanting to make any event a success! Even adult themed parties, cosplay, heroes, you name it and I know Liz is most capable. Now I want to hire them for my own (adult) birthday party too! :D

We had maybe about 15-18 kids Face painted in 2 hours. I would highly recommend and would book her again. If you have a big party more then 20 faces to paint I suggest you hire a couple face paint artist or hire for more then 2 hours. Make sure there is adequate shade for the artist. I had a 20x30 tent with alot of room and thought that be good enough but the sun was moving in on her work area towards end time. I was worried they wouldn't have availability since it was so last minute, but we were able to book with him! His replies were always very fast (within 20 minutes) and he made the booking process so quick and easy. Their prices are very reasonable as well! On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up. We booked them for balloon twisting and airbrush tattoos and all our guests, both children and adults, loved them! Their work was very beautiful and all the kids kept lining back up for more. It was adorable seeing all the tattoos and balloons everywhere! They were so great with the kids and all our guests had so much fun. Dave made my son a Winnie the Pooh balloon and he absolutely loved it. The sweet woman working with Dave (unfortunately I forget her name, my brain was all over the place at the time) made my son a little turtle balloon bracelet and he was obsessed with it! She also asked for my favorite color, and then made me a rose balloon in that color! She actually walked all the way across the room to hand them to us both times. They were both very sweet people! All in all, I'm so happy with this whole experience from beginning to end! Thank you Party Time Hawaii, I highly recommend!
