Myself, my mom, my sister, and my best friend were all getting hair/makeup done for my wedding day and Reniel gave us a clear timeline and estimate for the services and it was pretty easy to set up. On wedding day, she was on time and ready to go, and brought one additional girl with her. They were very friendly and easy to talk to. Although it was different than what I usually go for, I ended up really liking my makeup look and loving my hair, as did the other girls. The downsides for me were that they ended up running pretty behind on the schedule, and when my aunt showed up to pick me up for the ceremony I wasn't even dressed yet. The girls never mentioned/addressed time or anything and I started getting pretty anxious to get going. They took my sister almost an hour late. We ended up double paying for them to valet park at the hotel, because we paid the hotel and we also paid the girls including the valet price. I don't think they did this on purpose but it wasn't ideal. Lastly, they did a tattoo coverup for my small tattoo and although it made it lighter, it didn't completely cover it. I wasn't told this before and it wasn't addressed in the moment either.

If you're like me and don't use too many MAC products, you're in for a treat with Kayla. She uses a range of products from Charlotte Tilbury to Christian Dior. I swear a lot and am pretty oily. MAC gives me a long wear, but breaks me out with cystic acne. Kayla used Dior foundations on me and after 10 hours of wear, sweat, and rain, my makeup still looked pretty good (on both occasions). I'm pretty particular about brows. I'm not into really dark, filled-in, and concealed brows. Kayla is great at getting the perfect shape and natural, but polished and fleeky brow. Other than her amazing makeup skills, she is so sweet, personable, and professional! She arrives or is ready for you on time. Her tools and brushes are sanitary and she's really fun to talk to. I was in the market to switch salons after my last salon gave me a haircut I wasn't happy with. When I passed by and saw the prices, I knew I wanted to give them a try. I finally had a chance to go on Sunday and I wasn't disappointed! It's a Japanese salon, but they speak English. They had really relaxing smooth jazz playing which instantly relaxed me. My stylist, Chiko, took a picture of my inspiration picture and asked a few questions. She let me know the cut, shampoo and blowdry would take 1 hour. That was fine with me. It had been over 1 year since my last cut and I am a mom to a toddler and now 4 month old, so I needed some me time! She started with the haircut and was really skilled at what she was doing. She made sure everything was even, and she double checked with me on the length (I actually told her to go a little shorter, and she did). Then came the shampoo - the bowl was at her station which was surprsing and nice. She did a nice job shampooing my hair and massaging my scalp. I felt like falling asleep! Then she blow dried my hair and styled it a little with the brush and some wax at the end. I just love the way she framed my face with layers and I'm in love with my new, shorter, playful cut! The cut was $45, which I thought was very reasonable. I'm excited to have found a quality place at a good price. What's more is that at the counter, they gave me a $1 bill to help pay for parking! Normally, I would not consider a hair salon in a tourist area, nor a Japanese type salon because my hair is definitely white girl wavy. However, because it did come so nicely recommended, I decided to check it out. The staff is definitely from Japan and Japanese speaking, and I know that my hairstylist did not understand much of what I said, but despite that, my haircut was great. The one thing that I did not like was I asked her to put my hair in a ponytail before cutting it off so that I could keep the 12 inches of hair. She didn't understand me - although I said it twice and she nodded like she understood. And then all of a sudden my hair was on the floor, had never been ponytailed, and by then it was too late. The hair treatment before the cut was absolutely luxurious. I got an amazing head massage and shampoo and conditioning. I would go back just to have that done every now and then because I love my head rubbed. It was a bit toasty in the salon that day because it was August Ish, but they were nice enough to aim the fan at me to keep me cool the whole time. My cut came out great, my hair was so happy afterwards, and I would most likely go back again. The price was great as well. The salon was easy to find and they gave me a few dollars towards parking expenses, which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend them, but if you have any specific instructions, make sure you find someone who speaks fluent Japanese and English to translate.

We used another product to protect my hair since I have a lot of damage from the beach and not conditioning it properly. I am so very happy to be blonde again!!! The high lights are perfectly placed. None are odd shaped or orange, like I've had in the passed from other salons. I love the highlights around my face. No need to "brake the base" or add more chemicals to correct color.
