When my husband and I began planning our wedding we thought we could do everything ourselves. Afterall, my husband grew up on Kauai and I'd been there to visit several times. We'd both visited the venue we'd selected before. What was left to do? We wanted a really simple wedding. Why would we pay someone to plan things when we could do it ourselves? Well, I found out really quickly that trying to sort everything out and get things coordinated was more difficult than we'd anticipated. After attending a friend's wedding, and after talking to the bride the next day about the stresses of getting everything done, my husband was really convinced we should hire someone to help us out. I'd seen Marlene's site and was really impressed. I just had a good feeling about it, compared to the other stuff I'd seen out there. And? She was from Waimea, my husband's home town. I gave Marlene a call and from the very beginning I knew we'd done the right thing. When we contacted Marlene we already had our venue, photographer and our officiant but we didn't have anything fully sorted out. We were having a wedding with over 100 guests in attendance.. not your typical "destination wedding." To make things worse, our venue owner was on "Hawaii time." a lot, which made planning difficult. Marlene was very professional and knew just what needed to be done. She was always very responsive to us and always had great, cost-effective suggestions. It was so nice to have her "on the ground" in Kauai. She helped us plan everything ahead of time, coordinated the rentals, suggested a ceremony/cocktail hour musician and the hair/makeup stylist, and helped us figure out our custom food and drink menus (all local cuisine and beers). Marlene worked tirelessly at setting up a very detailed budget and event plan for us beforehand so we knew exactly what was going to happen in the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day, minute-by-minute and exactly how much it was going to cost. All of her recommendations turned out to be spot on. And, Marlene and her staff were at the venue all day on the wedding day working with all of our vendors and setting things up. All we had to do was show up and have a great time! We could not have pulled off this wedding without Marlene and we cannot recommend her enough!

They were just at a birthday party that I attended for a 1 year old. Amazing show and they stayed to take pictures with the birthday girl and the guests of the party. It is going to cost you some cash, but right now they are running a deal: 3 characters for the price of 2- so about $250 for a half hour. They also need an area to make costume changes in and some kind of CD player or sound system so they can dance with all the party people. I am so glad we have them on island. They also put full programs together for children at Kukui Grove Mall, Lihue- most times it is for free!

When my wife and I decided to do a destination wedding in Hawaii, we had no clue where to start. I started out researching photographers and ministers, when I contacted Aloha Ever After and spoke with Timory, I just knew this was the right company and the right people to make our wedding the best it could be. We set our wedding date for Dec.9,2018. (I know, I unintentionally procrastinated with my review.) But our experience was phenomenal and the memory stays with us every day. Timory did an incredible job helping us with information to get the marriage license, flowers, suggested accommodations in the area and even provided great options for the ceremony. after seeing Shipwrecks Beach, we chose that as the place to start our new life. We arranged to have her partner/Husband Joel perform the ceremony and Timory on photography. They were both awesome to work with, in tune with our wishes and exceptional with assisting us the whole way. The ceremony was beautiful, we did a sand ceremony as well and all of the photos were absolutely breathtaking! One of my outstanding memories during the ceremony was Timory asking us to pause briefly to look into the ocean, there was a Manta Ray lingering just off the beach, in front of our location, she said that was a rare occurance at that beach, in fact, she said she hadn't seen that in 20 years of performing weddings at that beach, the locals at the Tidepools restaurant all concurred and didn't believe it until I showed them the photo. we chalked it up as the spirit of our lost loved ones joining our special moment. that was super cool to experience. I truly can't say enough about Aloha Ever After, The prices were more than reasonable, the help with planning was priceless, the team of Timory and Joel and the overall experience is something I'll never forget. We've returned once to revisit for our anniversary and to reflect on the memories. We hope to go again someday to renew our vows and you know my first call will be to Aloha Ever After! To our enjoyment, they went above and beyond to make the space feel even more special with an illuminated "I Love You" sign and a heart of petals on the bed with an additional message. She took a personal interest in my litttle project and made it more than I could have imagined. She texted with me in Kenrucky throughout the day with ideas and put together a combination of a Big Airplane with Congratulatory Balloons and even some with Clouds on them. Then she personnally delivered the Display to my buddy's layover hotel to surprise him at checkout. The whole process was a pleasure and easy because Wendee is so professional, friendly and easy to work with.

From our initial contact with his wife, Addy, through the receipt of our final video package in the mail, Julian and his team completely blew us away. Our big day took place at Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute on Oahu. It was clear from the outset that Julian and his crew had filmed there a gazillion times. They knew exactly where all the good spots were, took amazing shots of us, and also incorporated some stunning (and well-timed!) footage of our silhouettes at sunset, waves crashing against the shore, etc. The crew was also really mindful of creating symmetry in the video. When my bridesmaids and I were on our way out of the bridal suite, we were on a tight schedule and debating whether we had time to do a quick champagne toast. One of Julian's camera dudes commented that the groomsmen did a whiskey toast so it would be good if we did our champagne one. And so we did, and boy, did it look good on film when they cut the footage back to back! Their skill was especially evident when they played our same day edit (SDE) at our reception for us and our guests. Within seconds of the SDE playing, my eyes started welling up with tears. They had done such a beautiful job of capturing the many emotions we were feeling that day that I couldn't hold it in! We were already so impressed by their portfolio and knew their videos were amazing, but the end result was still so much more than we could've ever hoped for. We got countless compliments from friends and family about how much they liked our SDE, how well it captured our special day, and how they were impressed by how fast Julian and his team worked. One of my bridesmaids loved their work so much that she asked Julian to come out to San Francisco to film her wedding this year, too! Several months after our wedding, we received our final package with all the footage of the ceremony, reception, first dance, cake cutting, speeches, bouquet, and garter toss. The quality was superb and the footage well cut. One year later on our anniversary, we sat down and watched it all again. We loved going through all the videos and reliving one of the best days of our lives together. And a year later, despite having watched the SDE a whole bunch of times throughout the year, when we watched it again, I still teared up. :) In all honesty, I watch that one the most often, and it never ceases to give me the feels. I finally decided on having the full ceremony taped - I am SO happy that I did!!! Michelle captured moments and emotions that we will get to relive over and over again. Michelle was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning and on the day of our wedding. We were absolutely thrilled with the highlight video, as well as the full video from our ceremony. She came highly recommended by Morgan Childs of Moana Events, and having known Michelle personally for many years, hiring her was an easy choice. To be honest, I was skeptical about needing a videographer, but after seeing just our highlight video alone, I couldn't imagine not having had Michelle there (in fact, I wish we had her stay longer!). Capturing the words of our ceremony, the cocktail reception, our guests reactions when we entered the tent for the first time, the surprise hula I did for my husband, our first dance, and all of the other sounds and words of happiness was so important to me. But the magic really happens during the editing process, and Michelle did a superior job. She blended wonderful moments, words and music together seamlessly, creating a beautiful story of our special day. Not only was the video she produced top-notch, Michelle was on time, professional, and completely inconspicuous (most of our guests saw the video and responded by saying, first, that it brought tears to their eyes and second, that they didn't even realize that we had a videographer there!). No small feat considering all of the cameras etc. that Michelle had with her that day. She was easy to communicate with both before and after the event, and finished our video quickly. When we received our hard-copy video in the mail, it was beautifully and thoughtfully wrapped with a hand-written note from Michelle and stunning still photos she took out from the video that were framed in the leather CD case the disc was in. From beginning to end, it was such a pleasure working with her. We watch our video all the time and it is truly something that we will treasure for a lifetime.
