They were great! Quick service. Great tips on how to care for my henna tattoo. They have a lot of options to pick from and also free hand. Pricing was not bad at all!
My kids loved it . No wait and they are just nice and kind and pleasant. During this time of the craziness, more business should really treat customers more " human " than being fear like " germaphobic " . Nothing but great service and fast and incredible art service . Okay
Stumbled across this Henna & Jagua spot on my way back to my hotel in Waikiki, and have to say I dont regret it. There were many options to choose from and the process was quick but the work was beautiful. They take their time sketching and outlining their work and constantly check for any other details. I had a great conversation with the older gentlemen as he was working on my arm. I definitely recommend this to anyone interested, Definitely coming back for another Jagua tattoo before I leave.
Highly reccomend! They are so friendly and talented! My son loves his jellyfish. They have binders with designs and prices for henna and jagua. It took about 20 mins and was 25$ plus tip. It came out beautifully! Follow care instructions!
We happened to walk by and this caught our attention. They have a folder of many designs with listed prices. Service is amazing and all my questions were answered. Directions given clearly. Panama is very knowledgeable. My babygirl and I are very happy with the outcome. She went with the black henna (Jagua). The next day results were amazing! Thank you guys! Give them a try.
If looking to get a Henna tattoo in Waikiki, highly recommend this place. Great service, extremely reasonable prices and great quality. Would get 6 starts if I could lol.
Took my teen daughter (henna) and son (jagua). Just happened to be walking by. In a small outdoor space just off the side of the street. Really nice couple and great artists. Very reasonably priced (don't do it at hotels!) and no wait.
Went to get a jagua tattoo done since I wanted to see how a tattoo would look before I went through and got a real one. All I can say is that Panama and Yumiko are AMAZING artists and charming people to talk to. Yumiko was able to scale a peacock down to fit on my forearm, and her attention to detail was breathtaking. I even stayed behind a little to see her freehand some flowers to add on to this one girl's foot tattoo. All together, GORGEOUS work and at very affordable prices. And all of this done by actual artists - what more could you ask for?
My 2 friends and I went to get some henna tattoos for the first time. It was an amazing experience and each of our tattoos only took about 20-30minutes. I haven't been to the Ala moana location but the location for this studio is in an area that is a little secluded from the other shops. It may be a difficult to find but not too hard since we were able to find it within 5minutes after our GPS led us to an area with many shops. Upon entering there was a binder filled with many designs of henna/Jagua tattoo. I have not known this, but Jagua is a black ink and an alternative to henna which very much resembles a tattoo once peeled and stays on longer than a henna. If you're not educated with henna/Jagua tattoo feel free to ask Panama (I believe she is the lady that was helping my friends and I) or that other gentlemen which was also nice to educate us as well. If you're confused they also give you a card which has their website listed and guidelines on how to care for your newly henna/Jagua tattoo ^_^. Panama was such a nice individual and we came around 830pm and they close around 9pm. We were happy that she was able to take us on despite going over their available hours. I definitely recommend going here if you're in the area because who doesn't love a temporary tattoo? Also, you can bring a design of your own that you have gotten from the Internet and she may be able to replicate it if not give you something that you may like :)s I had a good henna experience and will come again next time I'm in the area .
Something that is becoming a bit of a lost art in Hawaii is getting custom surfboards for wall or home decorations. Before there used to be a lot of shops who made them but now there are only a few on the island. Surprisingly the one place I was able to find it for a wedding gift was a tattoo shop. The communication between the owners and me was excellent. I was able to tell him exactly what I wanted, he made five different variations of what I was looking for and worked around what I thought looked the best. The turn around was a week but it was well worth the wait. I could've maybe found something in Etsy for cheaper or just bought something from the ABC Store for a gift but a gift that is unique, made by a local artist and you can authentically say I got this from Hawaii is what I think made me decide to go with them and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for omiyage or a gift from Hawaii go to A Rainbow Studio. They will help wrap it up with bubble wrap if you're not a local or are going somewhere. read more
Panama did a wonderful job on my daughter's jagua tattoo. She chose the jagua instead of a henna because she liked the darker stain it leaves compared to the reddish brown. Panama is a true artist. He freehanded his artwork before using the fruit "stain". He was very professional. In the very short time he created beautiful artwork on her hand. I suggest you see him or his fellow artist Yumiko. They are both fantastic! We saw the great work she did on other clients as we were waiting for my daughter's turn. He worked roughly 20 minutes on her hand. Super impressed! They have a variety of books to fit your budget and style. Panama also thoroughly explained what she needed to do to preserve the artwork. You will not be disappointed! Make sure you tip them! The artists' time and talent is unmeasurable! Mahalos Panama and Yumiko! read more

I can't recommend Panama and Yumika enough! My boyfriend and I returned multiple times to get more jagua tattoos. They are still holding strong after a week. Their work is fantastic and their prices are reasonable. They are the sweetest couple and we enjoyed talking to them while they tattooed us. They even gave us two custom made surfboards as gifts to thank us for our repeat business. I hung mine in my kitchen and think of them fondly whenever I look at it :) read more

I have walked past this kiosk many time on my walk to my car from work. I've always admired henna tattoos, and I'm glad to say that I've finally gotten one! I came here yesterday with my friends and the man that owns the place and his wife were so friendly! We chose designs from the book and even mixed two designs together. They talked to us, recommended good places to eat, and the quality of the tattoos were top par. He even gave us simple instructions on how to care for it so that it lasts the longest time possible. Because of the amazing work, I brought my sister here today to get a henna for her birthday. She showed him a design she liked from online, ans he did it amazingly! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a temporary tattoo that'll last about 2 weeks. read more

Awesome henna place, I felt very comfortable asking questions and just making conversation, the design was beautiful an they do custom designs too. You can get it in brown or black. Really suggest possibly getting a temporary henna tattoo of a tattoo you might not be sure about and just want to see it on your body before you get it permanently read more

I would give this place a 6 star if I could. The lady was super sweet and such an angel. She asked what I wanted, I showed her a picture. And she started drawing on my arm. She took her time to make sure my first time was absolutely the best. Her husband came by the shop, and was entertaining my husband and I with some history, advices on where to eat. My dress kept wanting to touch the ink, and they both were like oh no!!!! Let's take care of that. They tied my dress, making sure I wouldn't mess up the work. I did wait 4 hours for it to dry 100%. Made sure no one was near me lol... when you wash it off, make sure it's dry, then w warm water just rinse and use your hand to massage and rinse off. After that just Pat dry and enjoy!!! It will look a bit faded but when you wake up, you will see the ink!!! Thank you for a great experience! read more

My girlfriend and I was walking by and saw this small shop and Panama and his wife yumiko were already working on two other people. We saw the design were really detailed and when we saw the price, it was a no brainer. My girlfriend and I both got one and it came out amazing! I asked if he could mix two different design into one and he made it better than I expected. Great people and awesome design. Won't regret it! read more

My friend and I went here to get tattoos today and we were both so happy with the results! There are tons of different designs you can choose from. A lot of them are displayed on the walls, but there are also binders of designs you can look through too. They will also do designs from the internet, so you can just pull up a design on your phone and find a design you want. I got the jagua tattoo, which is a darker dye than the henna. There is lots of information about the ink and types of tattoos on their website (http://arainbowstudio.com/index.html). The owner is very friendly and more than willing to answer questions. He seems to know what is in his products and care about the safety of his customers. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I want a jagua or henna tattoo :) read more

We walked past and I decided to get a temp tattoo on my leg/ankle. The lady did a free hand drawing and then applied the 'ink'. My son then decided to get one on his arm. They do a great job and explain how to maintain the tattoo so you keep it looking good etc. Really impressed with the service and product. read more

What are their prices like for henna tattoos?
The average price is $10.00 to $20.00. The more complicated the design, the pricier it gets. Aloha
