    They were awesome !!

They were great! Quick service. Great tips on how to care for my henna tattoo. They have a lot of options to pick from and also free hand. Pricing was not bad at all!

Very fast and beautiful! A hole in the wall talent. The whole thing was done in 20min

Stumbled across this Henna & Jagua spot on my way back to my hotel in Waikiki, and have to say I dont regret it. There were many options to choose from and the process was quick but the work was beautiful. They take their time sketching and outlining their work and constantly check for any other details. I had a great conversation with the older gentlemen as he was working on my arm. I definitely recommend this to anyone interested, Definitely coming back for another Jagua tattoo before I leave.

My kids loved it . No wait and they are just nice and kind and pleasant. During this time of the craziness, more business should really treat customers more " human " than being fear like " germaphobic " . Nothing but great service and fast and incredible art service . Okay

Highly reccomend! They are so friendly and talented! My son loves his jellyfish. They have binders with designs and prices for henna and jagua. It took about 20 mins and was 25$ plus tip. It came out beautifully! Follow care instructions!

As directed left for one hour before rubbing off with water

We happened to walk by and this caught our attention. They have a folder of many designs with listed prices. Service is amazing and all my questions were answered. Directions given clearly. Panama is very knowledgeable. My babygirl and I are very happy with the outcome. She went with the black henna (Jagua). The next day results were amazing! Thank you guys! Give them a try.

If looking to get a Henna tattoo in Waikiki, highly recommend this place. Great service, extremely reasonable prices and great quality. Would get 6 starts if I could lol.

Took my teen daughter (henna) and son (jagua). Just happened to be walking by. In a small outdoor space just off the side of the street. Really nice couple and great artists. Very reasonably priced (don't do it at hotels!) and no wait.

Went to get a jagua tattoo done since I wanted to see how a tattoo would look before I went through and got a real one. All I can say is that Panama and Yumiko are AMAZING artists and charming people to talk to. Yumiko was able to scale a peacock down to fit on my forearm, and her attention to detail was breathtaking. I even stayed behind a little to see her freehand some flowers to add on to this one girl's foot tattoo. All together, GORGEOUS work and at very affordable prices. And all of this done by actual artists - what more could you ask for?

The henna tattoo I got is $26. They will draw on your skin with a blue pencil as a outline then add details with the henna/Jagua

My 2 friends and I went to get some henna tattoos for the first time. It was an amazing experience and each of our tattoos only took about 20-30minutes. I haven't been to the Ala moana location but the location for this studio is in an area that is a little secluded from the other shops. It may be a difficult to find but not too hard since we were able to find it within 5minutes after our GPS led us to an area with many shops. Upon entering there was a binder filled with many designs of henna/Jagua tattoo. I have not known this, but Jagua is a black ink and an alternative to henna which very much resembles a tattoo once peeled and stays on longer than a henna. If you're not educated with henna/Jagua tattoo feel free to ask Panama (I believe she is the lady that was helping my friends and I) or that other gentlemen which was also nice to educate us as well. If you're confused they also give you a card which has their website listed and guidelines on how to care for your newly henna/Jagua tattoo ^_^. Panama was such a nice individual and we came around 830pm and they close around 9pm. We were happy that she was able to take us on despite going over their available hours. I definitely recommend going here if you're in the area because who doesn't love a temporary tattoo? Also, you can bring a design of your own that you have gotten from the Internet and she may be able to replicate it if not give you something that you may like :)s I had a good henna experience and will come again next time I'm in the area .

What are their prices like for henna tattoos?

The average price is $10.00 to $20.00. The more complicated the design, the pricier it gets. Aloha

This place needs a good review, because they are awesome. They are located just around the corner/…read morebehind H&M in a little kiosk along with the other swap-meet style vendors. They are right at the front, on the left. I wanted both henna and braids. The henna was done right away, and I had to come back for the braids about an hour and a half later, as the girl that did them was away. The henna is done by stencil mostly, not free hand, so the designs can be a bit basic, but they are still quality. They do take requests for elaboration on the stencil, which is nice. First they put a temporary tattoo on with paper, and trace over it with henna paste. Mine was done quickly and looked great. I was told I could wash it off in two hours, and the darkest result would show up in about 12 hours after the paste was washed off. The last time I got henna, I had to leave it on a lot longer. With this one, I still got great, dark results, but I did leave it on way more than two hours. The longer you leave it, the darker it gets. The braids are EXCELLENT quality. She charges by each braid if you are only getting a few, or you can get a price for a full head or half head. A whole entire head is about $100. I paid maybe $35 for 4 braids, that was including beads, which are extra. It's been like 3 days since I got the braids, and they are still perfect. They have been through showers, the ocean, beach, and more. The hair braider is so amazing. She is super gentle, too. I wish I got her name, because she is one of two girls. She is young, maybe late teens, early 20's and looks Hawaiian. As I saw her work, I wanted my whole head done, because she was doing such a good job. The only reason I didn't, is because I ran out of time. It's a little pricey for the henna (like $35 for the one on my shoulder), but hey, you're right on Waikiki Beach! They have to pay for that prime real estate rent. I was able to bargain a bit. Just work out a deal with them! It was totally worth it. Highly recommended!

My friend and I paid $80 each for very disappointing henna designs. $80 is already ridiculously…read moreover priced, but when in Waikiki...... The girl working tonight did say it was her third day on the job, but this is quite unacceptable. The patterns were very clunky and uneven. Parts of the design were smeared and messy. Unfortunately we feel like we could have done a better job ourselves as our henna ended up looking like children's scribbles. Other options were closed at the time leaving us with limited options.

Not to mention the henna design itself is excellent!!! I provided a few inspo photos, some motifs I wanted included, and let her freestyle the rest! It turned out even better than I imagined. She and her colleague also did a great job for our guests! Very efficient, quick designs that everyone was so happy about. She also does travel around the island doing special events and occasional pop-up so keeping updated by following her is essential because she's simply amazing! I've been wanting some henna and with my work schedule it has been a challenge not to mention the pandemic has put a shift on some I used to see. Well I was fortunate to see her have another pop-up at Keep it Simple location in Waikiki another of my favorite place, she was just so comforting and calm I was instantly in zen though I was excited to finally have experience some of her spectacular art. She did have some binders filled with various images and prices which of course I saw several that instantly fell in love with but none struck my heart. Since she was still working with a few other guests I decided to glance at her Instagram and saw just what I wanted and knew it was it. 2022 will be four years since I lost my best best friend something I will never come to terms with and a Disney fanatic is an understatement and is not from Hawai'i but absolutely fell in love with the islands enough to move and settle here so with that she came up with my henna and gave her the freedom to do it all! She does have two types of Henna (brown/red color) and Jagua (black/navy color) I did mine with Jagua and reasons may vary so she will consult with you with what may work best. http://www.hennahappens.net is her site for any questions and appointment requests. Absolutely stunning art that gave me some peace and zen to celebrate the blessed life with a friend that's priceless. Thank you!
