I had a Pioneer SX-727 that was in dire need of help. So I contacted Fin and set up an appointment to have him take a look at it to see if was repairable. Fin said yes and we talked about what his approach to getting the reciever back to functioning like it was when it came out of the box in 1972. He said he would only replace items that needed to be replaced since the quality level of the component built back in 72 were of much higher quality than what is produced today rather than replacing good parts with inferior ones. The reciever had some serious issues that even had Fin perplexed but he presesvered and systematically went thru the reciever and found the issue(s). He doesn't give up and if it can be fixed he will fix it. As others have stated he is a real audio engineer who has over 50 years of passion and experience. I took my old Vintage Kenwood KR-7070-A stereo receiver to Fin Henk to have him repair it because it wasn't working and the knobs were frozen. when I picked it up and took it home I was really surprised after I hooked it up and it sounded like it was brand new! Mr. Henk has been servicing my guitar amplifiers for more than ten years. He is a perfectionist. I have taken him some rare and unusual items and he had no problem interpreting the circuitry, at times without a schematic. I don't hire anyone else for this type of work. read more
