This place is new. It is like the other big warehouse stores. I recently had a membership at bother Sams and COSTCO, this one offered a cheap membership with a store gift card. Was not a hard choice to try this one out. The store is new and clean. Staff is friendly and polite. One thinG I like Wii's this store is the phone app they have. Pre order lunch meat anD pick it up wIthout waiting in line - yes please. Sure this place doors not has everything that Sams Club or COSTCO but they have some different items the other two don't have. If you are in the area I would consider getting a membership here. This may be petty but I don't care. I regularly buy only 3 items at BJ's, Gas, Land of Lakes White American Cheese and their Collasal Cookie from the Snack Bar. Typically I stop to get gas then run in and buy several cookies and an Icee. Well today i stopped in for gas and thought i have had a cookie in a while, im gonna go in. Much to my surprise when i looked up at the menu i saw that they raised their cookie price from $1 to $2.49. And also asked to see my membership card, which has never happened before no big deal there. BUT how can you raise an item 149% at one time!!!Ridiculous. My biggest complaint is their glitchy website! There's ALWAYS an issue! It will ask you to sign in when you're all ready signed in, won't let you add items to your order, won't let you pay for your order and anything else to annoy the hell of you! If you call, maybe someone will answer. If they do, they'll reroute your call to some service in India where I sure don't want to share account numbers or anything else too! We purchased a membership here and the first night we signed up they couldn't print our cards because of a technical difficulty. They promised our $40.00 incentive would be credited. Tonight we visited, purchased over $200.00 worth of merchandise, went to pay, the Sale finalized without applying the credit. We spoke with the cashier who said she didn't know what to say or do but we needed to visit customer service for anything like that. We went to Customer Service and after a grueling 20 minute session we ended up with desk manager taking our name and number down on a piece of paper. We were told that they were directed to fill out a report about things like this and we should wait to get a call. After leaving the store we called the service number. The clerk on the line could see the credit on the account. Her supervisor told her that another department would need to fix it but they don't work on the weekend. read more

This place is closer to me than Costco or Sam's Club their prices are compatible to both great place to shop great deals staff is extremely friendly they will stop whatever they're doing to help you. We heard through some peeps about this new store that opened up in Taylor. It sounded so amazing I just had to make the 42 mile drive and check it out. Plenty of parking and the place was rocking. People were walking in from all directions. Upon entering the building there were two people at the doors helping. (Nice) I was looking for information about a new membership and was directed to get in line at the service desk. I was like WHAT? There were 15 people in front of me at the time. I was told all returns are also done at the service desk. I waited about 45 minutes which I think is to long. But I waited and did purchase a basic membership of $55 a year. I was given at that time a $35 gift card to use towards my purchase so my membership only cost $20. YAY! Plus a pamphlet of coupons too. (yes)That was a great deal. Now lets get into the store. BJ's wholesale is huge, large isles, large prices you can see on the shelves, and plenty of friendly employees. The size of some of the foods are huge and the prices are perfect. The check out lanes were quick and plentiful and open. They do offer boxes for you to use for your groceries and you can bring your own. I shopped for a couple hours and didn't even see everything. The foods I have eaten are fresh aza nd very tasteful. I told everyone about BJ's great deals and the value. I'm looking forward to my return trip. A year ago signed up prior to opening was really excited to join. Now the truth everything in store 25 to 30 percent higher than I can purchase at Kroger, Meijer or Save a lot. The charge 6 percent sales tax on full price before discount coupons which is illegal. I've been overcharged on 6 online orders they refuse to correct. Just made State and Federal complaints about Sales Tax Fraud. Take a look at every bill either in store or online. read more

They were fine before the virus hit. There are only 3 stores in Michigan and their distribution network apparently can't handle the increased demand. I am not being critical of stuff like toilet paper and wipes. But basic fresh fruits,vegetables, meats, etc... I have a Costco membership and they are well stocked . Costco has a larger presence in Michigan and therefore a better distribution network. I have been going to a local fruit/vegetable store in our area and they are always well stocked. NEVER ORDER ONLINE.... I ordered a swing it cost $360 on May 11th. I called on May 31st to find out where my order was and they " lost" it. I requested a refund on May 31st they told me it would be 2 to 3 business days.... I called back after a week because I still didn't get my refund... they then tell me 7 to 14 more business days... is now June 21st and still no refund. I call to get there corporate number and no one wants to give it to you... I like the style but I will NEVER order online again. read more

They offer great deals. Then when you take advantage of the offer you never get it. Example spend $75 on certain items get a BJ's gift card or buy 4 items get a gas discounts. They try to figure out every excuse not to comply!! Very disappointed in their customer service! read more

Everything is fairly priced here. Some items are cheaper than Sam's, I have a membership to both but I prefer sams club for the food court. But I go to BJ's for the gas, the lines are usually better. read more

Waste of money! Gas is cheaper in Meijer or Speedway by our house. You can't avail their discounted gas price unless you get their credit card and use that each time you get gas from them. Sams has more stuff so we're not renewing our membership. read more

Bye bye, Sam's Club and hello, BJ's! Being a member of Sam's and Costco, I was stoked that there would be a new competitor in the warehouse club world. I love this place. The online app is so much better than the other clubs'. The employees are all super kind and seem genuinely happy to help. Pretty much anything you can get from the other places, you can get from here. Plus, they have a deli where you can get fresh sliced meats and you can put in your order online before getting there. The prices are all pretty close with a few exceptions. My main complaint is that their snack bar pales in comparison to the two other warehouse clubs. But, that one dollar hot chocolate chip cookie is pretty amazing. I don't plan on giving up on Costco, but now that we have an alternative to Sam's downriver, I'll be glad to sever ties with the Walmart companies. To hell with them. Support companies that treat their employees right and pay well. read more

It's like Sam's club, big warehouse store but the B must stand for bait. Every big price item is sold out before their flyer sales even start. Wanted a pergola, it was in their sales flyer. Sold out from the day the sales date started. Same with their own branded gazebo, and a trampoline. Went online to Sam's club and bought a membership and a good pergola cheaper than the few remaining items they actually had in stock in BJs. I was shocked because Sams club actually had their sales items in stock! What a concept. BJs doesn't do anything better than Sam's to make up for such troubles and tricks. For the most part, I really like the store. Great selections. However, stopped at the deli and Evelyn, is the unfriendliest person! She will not show you the slice unless you ask. Most people behind the counter will show you a slice of lunch meat before they continue with your order...common sense. Evelyn? NO! I requested something thinly sliced and she just starts slicing without showing me. I had to ask to see it. Turns out it was not thin but rather thick. I said I needed it thin. So what does she do? She starts slicing and continues and I had to tell her again I would like to see the slice. Again, it was too thick. Finally she got it right. The next item I requested thinly sliced, and again she kept slicing without showing me. I asked to see the slice and for some reason it was thick. I had to ask her every single time to show me. When she sliced the items, instead of laying it on a pile, it was all slapped on the paper. It was a mess when I took it out of the package. She is not friendly at all. No smile..no have a nice day...no thank you. When I go back, if she is still there, I will request someone else. She is not a people person nor does she know how to slice meats and cheeses. read more
