They bill themselves as 'hand curated' vinyl, which basically means they'd don't stock a million copies of that Elton John record you don't want. They have all the basics that you'd expect, but also plenty of higher end 'finds' that might tempt you to drop a little more coin than you planned. The shop also sells some nice high end audio gear as well. Mostly, this place is about the experience. The owner is a designer and it shows...the layout and feel of the place is awesome. It's small, which is a good thing IMO, and the lighting and layout of the place feels wonderful. Do yourself a favor and stop in next time you drive by...it's just down the street from Solo Records, so you're already driving past it anyway....

Even aside from the above stuff that, well, makes more sense, there's a table and wall full of incense and a separate sort of smoke shop/head shop within. And if you were worried about not having a device to play your vintage audio formats, they have plenty of those too. Shop staff was super friendly and helpful. They have at least one shop dog - I may have seen a second. She could not be less bothered by visitors. A final note of importance, they're having a moving sale at the time of this writing. When I asked, they weren't sure where they're moving to yet, but expect to go at the end of the year.

The store manager Tom is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He knows what he's talking about and can always point you in the right direction. The showroom up front features all of the sound equipment and there's a lighting room in back to show off all of the awesome fixtures they have. I was very happy with a recent rental of a subwoofer and mixer. The cost was reasonable and they reviewed the item checklist with me when I brought it back. If you can get out to 14 and Dequindre, do it. It's worth the trip.

He was extremely knowledgeable and took his time to achieve the best possible sound in my room. I was floored at how much better the speakers sounded after his consultation. Soundstage is much wider and the bass energy more controlled. Time alignment of highs was improved after he recommended the taller spikes for the upper module. Listening now with a glass of scotch and a big smile on my face.
