It was easy to tell that the reviewers were genuinely impressed with the service they received. So I wandered into the bright and immaculate store (located in the Cabin John Shopping Center) and thus began my own wonderful carpeting experience. I was warmly welcomed by Steve Shaffer. He listened to my desires and we set up an in-home appointment to assess my carpeting needs. A few hours later Bruce Barboza arrived at my home and meticulously measured the areas to be carpeted. (Bruce's expertise was abundantly evident!) The next day, Steve contacted me and presented many options and arranged to have carpet samples shipped to me. Within a few days everything was agreed upon and an installation date was set up. On installation day I had the pleasure of meeting Roberto and Joshua. I could tell that their least favorite part of the installation was moving heavy furniture. However, anyone who has wrestled with a Tempur-Pedic mattress will understand the challenge. Roberto and Joshua immediately went to work and quickly removed the old carpeting and padding. I then got to observe their artistry as they expertly covered the many convoluted spaces my layout presented. Roberto deserves special recognition for beautifully binding the edges of the runners. I am completely thrilled by the service provided by Carpet & Vac Expo. Hopefully many others will enjoy these masters of carpeting craft.

Steve the owner is so nice and easy to work with, as well as his staff who are friendly and genuinely care about getting you the best carpet for your needs at a reasonable price. As a matter of fact, I shopped around many other local places and none of them could beat the price or the service needed. Don't waste your time like I did and run around comparing prices and carpets- I'll never do that again. Just go here. I'm very happy with the installation as well. They came at the time promised, installed it quickly and vacuumed it before they left. As I said, just go here for carpet.

I HIGHLY recommend this company and you will not go wrong if you hire them. Jose, the owner, and his crew, are polite, excellent craftsman, have incredible attention to detail, but beyond that, Jose communicates and speaks with you along the way. This blend of communication, craftsmanship, and hard work elevates this company beyond any other I have worked with. These intangibles were invaluable for us. Jose told us each day when he would be onsite, if he was running late, and what the timing would be as far as deliveries, removal of trash, and costs. Jose also brought up any issues or obstacles he came across during the remodel process. After we started our project, Jose was also able to include a bathroom vanity, mirror, and light installation. Jose not only had great suggestions, but was open to our suggestions as well. Jose also returned several items on our behalf to Home Depot. What service! LOVE, LOVE working with J.A.K.E. They essentially ruined a Reno I have been waiting years for and my biggest regret is trying to work w a small business like this instead of just getting the same product at Home Depot or Lowe's, where I would have been protected against the major overages and left without a way to return unused product. We replaced the w2w carpet in our family room, 14x20, and also did a 4x4 foot square of LVP. The installation team of 2 arrived on time and got the job done, clean-up was thorough. This was in April 2023. In mid-September of 2023 we noticed that the carpet was coming up against our hearth. I called CP, spoke with Ara. We agreed to set up an appointment in October. I emailed Ara when we got back from vacation. No answer after a week. I emailed again. And a third time. No answer through the end of October. I finally emailed the store address. No answer. I called the store. I was told that Ara comes in at 10. It was 9:45 am when I called. I told the employee that I would call back. I called back at 11 AM, Ara was with a customer. I left my name and my phone number. No call back. On November 8, Wednesday morning, I called again. I was put on hold, and a few minutes later the employee who answered my call, said that Ara could not be found. I left my name and my phone number. I waited five hours and did not hear from Ara. When I call back, he answered the phone. By now, I hope you have concluded that once you've paid them and had the work done, they will avoid you and they will ghost you. I was surprised that Ara did not acknowledge the multiple emails and phone calls that I had to make to get to this point. We scheduled the repair for Friday morning, November 10, between 8 and 9 AM. It is now Friday, November 10. It is 9:30 AM. I hope you are thinking what I am thinking. What I am thinking is that what started out as a good thing has turned out to be a bad thing. We have a $4000 flooring job that needs a repair within six months and the lackadaisical response is ridiculous. I hope you have concluded that this is not a happy ending and that you should not risk putting yourself in the same situation.
