We give CP a "4" for selection, sales, price, consultation, etc. we give them a weak "1" for service and response. We replaced the w2w carpet in our family room, 14x20, and also did a 4x4 foot square of LVP. The installation team of 2 arrived on time and got the job done, clean-up was thorough. This was in April 2023. In mid-September of 2023 we noticed that the carpet was coming up against our hearth. I called CP, spoke with Ara. We agreed to set up an appointment in October. I emailed Ara when we got back from vacation. No answer after a week. I emailed again. And a third time. No answer through the end of October. I finally emailed the store address. No answer. I called the store. I was told that Ara comes in at 10. It was 9:45 am when I called. I told the employee that I would call back. I called back at 11 AM, Ara was with a customer. I left my name and my phone number. No call back. On November 8, Wednesday morning, I called again. I was put on hold, and a few minutes later the employee who answered my call, said that Ara could not be found. I left my name and my phone number. I waited five hours and did not hear from Ara. When I call back, he answered the phone. By now, I hope you have concluded that once you've paid them and had the work done, they will avoid you and they will ghost you. I was surprised that Ara did not acknowledge the multiple emails and phone calls that I had to make to get to this point. We scheduled the repair for Friday morning, November 10, between 8 and 9 AM. It is now Friday, November 10. It is 9:30 AM. I hope you are thinking what I am thinking. What I am thinking is that what started out as a good thing has turned out to be a bad thing. We have a $4000 flooring job that needs a repair within six months and the lackadaisical response is ridiculous. I hope you have concluded that this is not a happy ending and that you should not risk putting yourself in the same situation. I had to move instillation dates on them and they were very accommodating. I wasn't even in town during installation, but when I came back to these new beautiful floors I was so pleased. Although it was out of the way for a DC resident, my husband and I came here on a recommendation. So glad we did! We were looking for carpeting to cover our wood-floor stairs for safety reasons (we have toddler and elderly parents). We really didn't know what we were looking for when we showed up, but Amir was terrific in helping us hone in on what we liked and a number of samples (and he had TONS). He was incredibly friendly, energetic, and upfront with costs, which we really appreciated. We took home a few samples, and by the end of the day called him to put in our order. I had an amazingly unique experience shopping at Carpet Palace on Gude Drive in Rockville. Not only is their selection huge, but the truly amazing part was dealing with the salesman, Mansour. I came in looking for a particular color carpeting and had settled on one quickly. Mansour kept showing me more samples in order to REDUCE the cost!! When does that ever happen?? And despite the fact that I came in a well-dressed, white, senior citizen, he still kept showing me additional ones that he remembered were on sale or thought I might like more. Wonderful (and very straightforward) experience getting carpets from Carpet Palace! I used to live in Rockville, recently moved to a condo just south of Dupont in DC, and wanted to get my bedroom re-carpeted. After looking at a couple places in the District (and not being satisfied w the options), I ended up expanding my search and went with Carpet Palace in Rockville. And I'm certainly glad that I did!! I coordinated via phone primarily with Ara who was very professional and responsive -- patiently explaining the process in detail. Ara came out himself to do measurements the very next day after our phone conversation. Stay away! I was pleased with the service I received UNTIL it came time to install the cabinets and then I found out that they made several very costly mistakes with the cabinet package they proposed, costing me over $2500 in un-usable materials that they would not allow me to return and negatively impacting the final appearance of the kitchen. To start with, they did not take into consideration the fact that the microwave I selected had an installation kit so the microwave cabinet they provided was not big enough. This cause the entire upper cabinets to be off so rather than be able to use the combined convection oven/microwave I had purchased (and could not return), I had to switch to a conventional microwave and sell the original one I purchased at half price. This mistake also caused me to have to make repairs to the wall skin since we had to remove the microwave cabinet and move things around once we realized their error. They also included crown molding that did not work with the cabinets that I had selected (because the doors of the cabinets are flush with the tops of the cabinets and therefore there was not room to nail in the crown molding - so we could not use the crown molding at all, leaving the build in cabinets to look unfinished. They also sold me a set of four roll out shelves for the pantry but they were not the same size as the cabinet so, once again, we were not able to use the roll out shelves. Al together, these errors cost me approximately $2600. When I tried to reach the sales person (Patrick) who had helped me, he stopped returning my calls. And then after I spoke to the manager, he said he would talk to Patrick and call me back but then did not call me back. I would not go here for cabinet design support or to purchase your cabinets after this experience. read more

Amir came right out to measure and gave valuable advice and encouraged us to get another carpet and not vinyl which was our first thought. He moved quickly, it came in and was installed in two weeks. I have done business with this Company before. Generally I was pleased with their service. I am In the market for s new kitchen floor. My recent experience with Carpet Palace was totally unsatisfactory. The salesmen was s nice young man but not very knowledgeable. I set an appointment with him for a measurement. He did not arrive at the scheduled time. I called the store. He said he had forgotten all about our appointment but could be at my home in a half hour. Upon arrival his special measuring machine did not work and he did not know what to do. I suggested that he replace the batteries and provided batteries for him. He completed the measurements. I asked if Carpet Palace had a price match policy. He said yes and I gave Jim the name and website of a store in Columbia Maryland which listed prices on their web site. The measurement was taken on a Friday. I did not hear from Carpet Palace on Saturday or Monday. When I reached him on Tuesday he had not completed his calculations. He did say they could not match the price I gave him because they did not match internet prices. I reminded him that the store was located in Columbia snd was open to the public. He said he spoke to the owner and they could not match the price. He did not call back with the completed calculations. I called again the next day. He apologized but was with a customer and said he would call back in a half hour. He never called back. I gave him every chance because he was obviously a new employee and a nice young man. Despite my patience his performance was unsatisfactory. It reflects poorly upon him and Carpet Palace. Carpet Palace is owned by the young man's father. I first dealt with Carpet Palace in 1990. They have maintained a profitable business in a competitive market sector for three decades. Hopefully a father to son conversation will correct the current unsatisfactory service and performance. read more
