I did however receive a refund BUT no communication to our coach nor to parents from the league as to why our team was removed from the season. This was done less than a week before games were to begin. It's bad enough there's no support for coaches financially, but when you add the poor communication, that sucks. Now, we have a team ready for the season, removed from the schedule, and now they can't even try out for school because it's too late. Communication would go a LONG way.

Jacob came around to meet us at the door and welcomed us to the store and offered to help us. It was really nice! He listened and answered all my questions, and showed me what to look out for when my son tried on the helmet and pads. He made the visit fun for my son, referring to Minecraft and offering shoulder pads that had "real gold" on it and said it was $1mil. Lol. My son got a kick out of that. Jacob got us squared away with padded pants and a practice jersey. They didn't have my son's correct helmet size and color in stock, so Jacob made sure to take my number down so they can call me when it comes in. Which brings me to the next awesome associate who helped us-- Cooper! Cooper called me and recommended I come down to have him try on the helmet since they just got a shipment in, and it was still a small quantity. Cooper helped Noah get the helmet on, and made sure we had the correct cheek pads. Both young men were very helpful and kind, and my son thought they were the "coolest bros" ever. Thanks!

Even though there were a few birthday parties happening and it was fairly busy, there was still plenty of space and tons of different rooms for kids to run, jump, and play without feeling overcrowded. About 10 of us went in and broke off into two teams of five and we had an absolute blast. I'm sure the kiddos would love to go back, which is fine by me. The refs in these games are completely biased. They call "flag guarding" on every run against teams they dislike. Refs lets our kids get mowed over by kids on other teams hurt and crying off the field and don't throw flags for that. The inconsistency in referring is despicable and if you challenge a refs call, you're guaranteed to lose the game and your season. Garrison has no control or training on these refs and a kid is going to get seriously injured because if they don't like you they don't care what happens. Kids getting shoved from behind with no penalty on the opposing team, kids pulling shorts down with no penalty, kids all but tackling yours to the ground and rolling over them with no one talk from the refs. Despicable. How these people sleep at night robbing some 8 years old is a mystery. Do yourself a favor and find another league worth your while, this one is a waste unless you're on a favored team.
