I have been going to the Dr for a long time finding his personality was wonderful and easy to talk to. However, his office staff is horrible, with the exception of Mary, I'm leaving as a patient. I ask to speak to the Dr twice, the first time I was told, "Yeah, I'll get right on it", and never heard back. This was important to me so I could schedule surgery. I feel sad and very let down by Dr. Simpson and his office staff. I have been shocked by this response. I called again and still didn't get to speak to him. I need a Dr who doesn't mind answering a question over the phone taking maybe five minutes of his time at the very most. read more

This place is TERRIBLE! The Dr AND the staff Seem incompetent! I was erroneously given a tint to my glasses when I did NOT order one! I was charged Extra, and they REFUSED to refund it. The prescription the Dr wrote for me was INCORRECT! I had to come back one month later and have my glasses re-done. At 1st they wanted to CHARGE me for this! They texted me to say my glasses were ready; I went to pick up late in the Afternoon but their office was CLOSED! They did NOT Mention in their text that the office was closing early. I took off work to get my glasses--which I've been without for TWO WEEKS! They REFUSED to give me a Glass case for the 2nd Pair of glasses that I had to get. They have NO IDEA What they're doing! The Dr. Repeatedly said during the- 2nd Exam that the INCORRECT PRESCRIPTION was NOT HIS FAULT! AND when I've asked them to re-print my 2nd prescription they've REFUSED!!! I have traumatic brain injury and need help, Dr. Simpson was awesome but his staff was awful! They had very little selection of glasses i wanted and they told me a pair looked great on me and I look like an owl. I called to tell them I could see great far away but up close I have to go back to my old glasses. The lady on the phone asked why I didn't try to read the card by the desk. Why didn't you show me? Both my husband and I went here and saw Dr. Simpson. He had great "bedside manner" and explained very easily the results of our eye examination. BUT ..... we also agree the gal who took care of our frames for our glasses was rather rude and curt. I personally was extra nice to her on purpose. ;-) But she didn't notice ..... she needs a nicer personality when serving people. Rather rude. Not very welcoming. read more

Don't get your glasses here. I received mine and prescription was blurry, lenses are way too thick. I spent over $450 to not have thick lenses and correct frames. I'm getting no help from them, and they will not refund my money. I have two stigma bot eyes. They sent glasses back once and still not correct. Then they told me to call their lab and ask why they can't get right. My goodness 450.00 I'm out and now I'm so very upset. They told me my lenses will be thin and prescription will be fine. The girl at the front desk never looked up at me and told me to sign in. Dr Marks Buri OD (That's the name outside.) was marginally pleasant during exam. Selected a frame by being left alone in a room of frames. Got sloppily measured for my bifocal and left. Glasses came in and as I approached the reception desk with a couple of other people in the reception area.."What are you here for?" was asked by the receptionist. I explained that I was here to pick up glasses.."Have a seat" she said. She came back out and handed me my glasses and said thank you. I told her I couldn't read properly with the bifocal too low..she said no one was there to adjust them..waiting for the 'redo'. Needless to say his staff has a lot to work on and the doctor should correct these things. read more

Wonderful 5 star service. I have a very high prescription and kaiser gave me the same prescription for 3 years and I still couldn't see. I was making mistakes at work constantly. Dr. Sirios finally took the time to correctly check my eyes and give me the prescription that helped me see with 20/20 vision along with a reading glasses prescription! This was amazing! Jaqueline also went above and beyond to fix my glasses that I had stepped on lol! They were a mess and now they are like new! Great job! Dr. Simpson is great. I've been using him since 2011. He used to have an office in Murrieta, CA which was near my home so it was ideal. Last year they closed that office and kept open the Hemet location. I tried a new optometrist last year and made the trek to Hemet this year because they are worth the trip. Dr. Simpson is engaging and seems to remember his patients over the years. The office staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I will continue to drive the 40 minutes to receive the level of care and service Dr. Simpson and his staff provide. read more

I have been going there for the past few years and I am very happy with the service I received and the professional attention given to me. And Dr. Simpson is very knowledgeable on other aspects of maintaining one's health for the long haul! For the eye exam and eye related services, I highly recommend them. HOWEVER, from the standpoint of ordering Contacts through them, all of my future orders will be via online. They have repeatedly said that the contacts ordered and paid for would arrive within about 2 weeks. I have never been able to get the contacts in less than a month! It is much more efficient through online companies where 2 weeks are usually maximum! If Hemet Optometric Center has trial pairs, take them, just make sure they last a month or more! read more

I was surprised at how kind and thoughtful I was treated by Dr. being a I.E.H.P. patient. I thought I would be treated second class but was not! Glasses took long time but that's the State. I will see better soon read more

If you open a dictionary to see bad to awful customer service this is it and that Dr Simpson very funny. Sadly the insurer had to pay off a few hundred dollars and we still have hippa and ADA issues to sort out... How funny to get my eye exams from my Credit Card issuer and minus the scrip -there are two places on this cheap outfit that notes it the federal regulations CFR 456.2 closely...nor do they adhere to ADA law at state level -the brains of the outfit can look it up for himself. Been going to Dr Simpson for so many years! Since the early 90's I believe. Wouldn't & don't go anywhere else. He actually cares about the patient, it truly shows. He does not rush the visit & he is so knowledgeable. Seems my husband & myself learn something new at each visit . Sure we might find it a little cheaper elsewhere, but my eyes are very important to me & I am looking for the best care which I have found with Dr Simpson! I tried this place once a number of years ago and was very dissatisfied. The office was setup like an assembly-line that ended at the eyeglass room where they seemed to have predetermined that the patient would be buying glasses from them. When I asked for my prescription (that I had just paid for!), the lady told me that she would have to check to see if they could do that (huh?). I finally got my prescription and went to Costco to buy my glasses. read more

I had made an emergency appointment a few months ago after there was a persistent dark spot in the middle of my vision. Both of the doctors had checked on my eye to confirm the diagnosis: central serous retinopathy. Both Dr. Simpson and Dr. Sirois were very kind and professional as they explained what CSR is and what to expect. Dr. Sirois and his team, especially Toni, are amazing. I've been seeing them for years and have no problem driving to Hemet from Murrieta to continue seeing them. They recently gave me an extra pair of contacts because an airline lost my luggage with my contacts. They didn't have to do that, but they did just to help me out. To begin the place was a bit tricky to find google maps may lead you astray so be careful. Office is appointment only and the staff was pleasant. Not very fast but friendly service. The doctor was great and friendly the reason for the 4 stars was my wait time I had an appointment for 9:45 and didn't actually see the doctor till about 20-30 min after my set appointment however overall I left satisfied. read more

Took my children in to get glasses. We already had the prescription, which was done elsewhere. HORRIBLE customer service. When we walked in the two ladies in the office were discussing personal stories and kept on talking while we were standing there (mind you we were the only customers in the room at the time). When I was able to get their attention, they rudely asked for my insurance and pointed us in the direction of the frames and walked away. He doesn't talk down to you and he listens to what you say and I never feel rushed. If I could give this place zero stars I would. In August 2013 I took my sons vision prescription to this location thinking because we had gone there before with no problem that they could help us. You see...my son (8yrs) is legally blind without vision correction and he has a very specific type of lens that he needs for his lenses. You think because they are in the business of making people SEE they would help my visually impaired son..WRONG! In the past we had private insurance and had no issue here...but this time we came my son has IEHP. From the moment I came in with the prescription and IEHP the staff person April did not want to even try to help my son get glasses! Staff insisted that IEHP would not pay for my sons special lenses. I had to ask them can we please just try anyways...it doesn't hurt to get a denial. Staff person April tried to submit paperwork once to IEHP and incorrectly filled it out so my son did not get approved. April REFUSED to resubmit paperwork correctly to IEHP and apparently she has the authority there to drop my son as a client! I was furious...I made a call to office to meet with or talk to DR. Simpson and I never received a call back. This office is in it for the money and nothing else....who would refuse to help a legally bling child get vision. Will never ever go here again! read more

Dr. Simpson is fantastic, the 3 stars however are for the office itself. I went to doctor Simpson last year after having gone to him in 2012 in order to get fitted for contact lenses. He ordered me a pair of trial lenses and when I went to go pick them up the secretaries at the front desk just gave them to me and didn't even give me instructions on how to put them on or anything! I was completely clueless. They simply gave me the box and told me which vial had which contact for which eye then one of them proceeded to tell me that if I lost or tore one of them I would have to pay about $300! Since I had no idea how to try them on I accidentally ripped one within the first week and because she gave me that ridiculous warning I simply didn't come back.
